Good food, good service all at a reasonable price. Lots of variety. I had Caesar salad with shrimp and wife had one of the lobster fest meals. Much nicer than a Red Lobster I dined in at Mira Mesa location.

We were in last night and had a wonderful date night! Kimberly(our waitress) was worth the cost of the mean a lone! She was warm and friendly and so accommodating! We ordered the shrimp lettuce wraps as an appetizer. SODELICIOUS! Perfect mix of sweet, savory, with a touch of spicy. For dinner we both ordered the BATTEREDSHRIMPFISHTACOS! So good! They aren’t on the menu, but you can order them anyway. And, of course, the cheese biscuits are amazing! Our hostess was very sweet as well, I’ve forgotten her name! I highly recommend this for a family night out!

All I can say is the food is pretty bad! It’s like they deliver it frozen, microwave it, then set it on a plate to be delivered to the table. And they charge big bucks for it! If I wanted gross dried out shrimp(which I don’t), I could make it cheaper myself. Service is ok, but you’ll never see a manager. It’s like they are in the office the whole time playing candy crush!

We decided to dropped by for lunch on last Saturday since our son want to try their seafood. The parking is quite scary with some trash all around and the building need new painting. The restaurent is quite gloomy inside and the food was not good. My husband has food poisoning after ate the food. Here what we tried. 1.Ultimate Feast, the lobster was ok but the garlic shrimp was drown in butter melt. We thought it was a soup. Clam chowder was very salty and we can see some part of clam chowder dripping from the side of cup. 2.Admiral’s Feast Walt’s Favorite Shrimp, bay scallops, clam strips and wild-caught flounder, all fried and they were very small size of scallops and shrimps. It was all salty and not worth what you paid for. 3. Biscuits were alright 4. Lobster pizza was the only dish that is fine. If you ordered coffee make sure that no spoon inside your coffee cup. We used to visit Red Lobster 7 years ago and they were much better back then. I think they need to keep up the quality of food and the restaurents area inside and outside so it could fit with the pricey meal.

The lobster tacos had too much cumin. Our waiter was awesome. The cooks definately need more training on how to prepare awesome delicious food no need to drown the sea food with too many spices.

The food was very good. I had the fish and chips. Usually fish and chips are pollock or cod, but they used halibut. It was phenomenal. While the food was very good, the service was terrible. The waitress was covering the entire restaurant. I could understand her not being as attentive. However, she didn’t provide basic service like napkins or refills. I asked for water with no ice. I got ice. That would have been ok, but the glass was dirty. I asked if I could have a clean glass. She brought more water and said, «I hope it’s clean.» It’s a sports bar. In the middle of everyone watching various sports events they started blaring music. It was distracting and annoying. Bottom line, the customer service would have to improve for me to return.

Ok, this is my first time at Red Lobster and it was just a OK. Food was just mediocre and service was Just OK as well . I had sea food combo and as I said for that price I wasn’t impressed. The did have good biscuits. My desire for lobster is not satisfied.

This is a 1 star because we waited over an hour and 20 min to be seated. There were 12 empty tables. Yes I counted. I know there was 10 in our party, I asked why so many people weren’t seated, their reply was they didn’t have enough servers, it’s a Saturday. REALLY? Hire a few more people. For many many years we have been coming here for celebrations and brays, graduations, anniversary a etc, From now on we r going elsewhere

Went for dinner tonight. The staff was so nice. Everyone from the hostess to our waiter was very very nice. I forgot my waiters name but he was awesome. All food was hot and good. No complaints. I eat here often and will return.

’twas the day after christmas, when all through the wallet to the brim stuffed were gift cards, to satisfy our palate. in need of «us» time, she agreed upon my request, we stopped by red lobster for a date night out west. We were nestled in a booth by the bathroom in the back, where the scent of raw seafood took us aback. we ordered lobster bisque to go with our biscuits, lukewarm it came — we sent it back in an instant. second time was a charm, not too late by a hair, shortly after our(bar harbor) lobster bake arrived with some flair. On top of linguini sat an assortment of fish, mussels and scallops and lobster greeted us; mmm what a dish. ’twas more than enough for two asians to eat, we packed leftovers to go with some biscuits as a treat. The dinner was meh/alright, 2 out of 5 I would rate without gift cards we’d steer clear for our next late night date. — tl;dr — okay service, short wait despite busy-ness, good food, place smelled too fishy(in a bad way), food came out cold-warm, kind of expensive. food eaten: roasted brussel sprouts, bar harbor lobster bake, lobster bisque, biscuits

Brought my husband there for his birthday for dinner tonight and after a great tasting meal and enjoying an «Alotta Colada» from the bar, the waiters and waitresses came over with bowl of ice cream with a candle, to sing Happy Birthday! We’ve eaten at this Red Lobster a dozen times in the past 5 years and they always have great service however, tonight was exceptional. Our waitress, Ava, was very friendly, quick, understanding of my «picky-ness» and was always coming back to check on us and give us refills on our water and Coke. If you ever go in, she’s the brunette with a nice smile and a beautiful Polish accent. To top off the night, she gave my husband a personalized birthday card signed by all the wait staff! This may seem minute to others but it goes a long way with us because it was very thoughtful! Thanks Red Lobster in La Mesa!

We had to wait 45 minutes to be seated, but once seated, it was great. Best service I have had in a chain restaurant in a long time! And being on a restrictive diet, I was very glad when the waiter didn’t bat an eye at my requests. He got my complicated order 100% right. I had shrimp and crab with Brussels sprouts and it was very good. The shrimp was grilled and the crab steamed and they even managed to make the steamed Brussels sprout taste delicious. Our glasses never went empty and our guy was very friendly and pleasant. So in conclusion, the food was good, the prices a bit high for what we got, the restaurant clean, and the service excellent.

I am shocked at how busy this Red Lobster was, at the time of our visit, given the very old seventies dumpy décor, yes it is dumpy, with its industrial brown carpets, old burgundy booth seating and that sewer smell coming from a grease trap that fills up your lungs when entering most red lobsters showing their age. Seriously, they really need to renovate, but, there is always a but in these scenarios, they also have consistently good seafood that you can’t go wrong with. The wait tonight was 40 minutes and they give you a buzzing device to call you when the table is ready. Since we drove so far to appease of our guests craving for RL, parked and all… we waited. I Was wondering why it was so busy, for a weeknight at 8:30pm in the boonies; unusual. Turns out they have an unlimited shrimp or some promotion where they give a lot of food away, just like most American eateries lolol We got good service as expected, same consistent food as expected — I had the mixed grill for $ 26 which was sameoldsameold and good, the sameoldsameold good pre-dinner cheese buns, the sameoldsameold desserts from the sameold sameold sameold menu. So nothing fancy, good food, good service in an average place that is neither memorable or forgettable. I’m glad they are still i business and kicking! #sameoldsameold

So my boyfriend and I came here on my birthday card. It was alright not that long of a wait for a Friday. STAFF was excellent. I was highly disappointed in the King Crab appetizer we got. very dry. we also got the ultimate feast. the sweet chili shrimp was on point. But again kinda let down by the lobster tail. Of course the bread was awesom! Over all good.

I hadn’t been to Red Lobster in forever. Once the memories of those soft warm cheddar biscuits came rushing to my mind I was on board to eat there for lunch. Well on a Sunday afternoon expect to wait. It was a 35 minute wait. Even though I do love those cheddar biscuits I wasn’t sure it was worth a 35 minute wait. Luckily they had room at the bar. The menu has changed and for the better! They now have brussels sprouts and asparagus as side options. However, almost $ 5 extra for asparagus is outrageous! I had the salmon and shrimp. My salmon was great. The shrimp were battered and good as well. Service was not so great. We started with one server then ended up with another and they never said hey I’m going on break. Next thing you know someone else is taking care of us. Also they never refilled my ice tea. I was still thirsty! All in all I remembered why I don’t frequent Red Lobster. The service is average at best. The biscuits were just as good as I remembered them. I didn’t take any home because I would eat them all.

We came to Red Lobster for a college graduate dinner celebration. We must have picked the perfect time because it was not very busy. We had reservations for 3:00 o’clock and at 3:00 o’clock we were seated at our table for a party of seven. Our waitress«Shirley» was very friendly. She took our drink orders, and shortly after took our dinner orders. While waiting for dinner we enjoyed their delicious bread it was warm and tasty. It didn’t take long before the food arrived. I ordered the Ultimate Feast: Lobster Tail, fried shrimp, shrimp scampi, crab legs with broccoli and wild rice. It was awesome, I cleaned my plate. All the members of our party commented on how good everything tasted. I couple of us even ordered dessert. Shirley was continually checking on us bringing additional napkins, water and drink orders. Overall it was a great experience. The restaurant was welcoming and comfortable. The staff seemed to enjoy their jobs. They were friendly and courteous. The dining area is a nice size and it is divided into small sections or arrangements that feel semi private. It is not an open floor plan like some restaurants. Great atmosphere, clean restrooms, good lighting throughout restaurant most of all a cheerful dinner celebration.

Ever since watching an episode of Restaurant Impossible in which Robert Irvine assembles a lobster taco, I’ve craved a lobster taco ! I recall he cautioned the otherwise clueless restaurant owner not to cut the lobster into tiny pieces. Robert placed half-inch(or larger) cubes of lobster meat in the taco, tasted it, and proceeded to do his little happy food dance. At last, I’m at Red Lobster in La Mesa, and lobster tacos are on the menu! Sadly, these three undersized tacos were a major disappointment. Actually, I thought they forgot to put lobster in the tortillas, until I donned my reading glasses and detected little tiny shreds of something that could have been lobster. No happy food dance today. Couldn’t see the lobster, couldn’t taste it either, since any lobster flavor was overpowered by the sauce they put on the taco. Hey, Red Lobster, «Lobster» is your last name ! At least make it visible to the naked eye. My wife ordered clam chowder and a Caesar salad, which she said were OK. As uninspired and disappointing as the lobster tacos were, the service from Zachary was the opposite. He gave us excellent service, but I was there for a lobster taco, and I got zilch. I’ve heard this chain is in trouble, and now, I’m not surprised. I’ll stay away until they fix their problems. I still crave a lobster taco. Today’s meal didn’t scratch that itch, not even close.

Today was a sad day. I got suckered in by the newest commercials of the Lobster lovers dream. We went in today in hopes of enjoying a great meal. We started off with drinks, I ordered a Long Beach Iced Tea and my man ordered a Guinness which was served in a bottle chilled. The drinks were great and after approximately about 8 minutes of waiting at the bar our booth was ready for us. You guessed it, right next to the bathroom. Due to the bathroom having a long hallway I did not complain this time. I decided to go use the bathroom prior to ordering and was stopped by a lady leaving telling me to be careful because she almost took a nose dive into the floor due to the water being on the floor. There were paper towels all over the floor and it just looked nasty. Our waitress Byanca was amazing! Her timing was perfect and her service was exemplary. I just wish the kitchen actually had it in order. We ordered the King Crab 1.5 lb for $ 31.46, we ordered the New York Strip and Rock Lobster meal for $ 36.49 as well as the Lobster lovers dream for $ 33.99. Byanca R. brought us the amazing cheesy bread, which was still amazing along with the waters we ordered served with a slice of lemon. We ordered our food and was brought out after completing our Caesar’s Salad. This girl knows how to serve food in a timely manner. After completing our salads the main course arrived. I was so excited. I did mention to our waitress about the bathroom experience. She apologized and within minutes a blonde employee went into the bathroom and came back out with a trail of paper towels now in the hallway. Back to the food: First was the King Crab that came in a dish that came with a lid to make sure that it stayed warm. That was awesome! Next came our personal dishes. I am so excited at this point! Here comes my Lobster Lover’s Dream and my man’s New York Strip and Rock Lobster… My man’s steak was cooked well and the seasoning was also good. For some strange reason I decided to touch my food and all of it was cold. Almost like my food was done cooking and they had it sitting on the side waiting for the steak to be finished. That is just a guess, either way my food was cold. The broccoli, the pasta as well as the lobsters. Byanca came over and took my plate and apologized for it. A few minutes later it came back with the plate hot which clearly meant that it had been microwaved. Now it was hot but the lobster was so over cooked that it turned to rubber so I sent it back again. While waiting I went back to the bathroom and the paper towels had been picked up but the place was still nasty. While in my stall a lady came in with her son who was complaining that he was old enough to go into the men’s bathroom. His mother stated that she couldn’t watch him in there and that she had to keep him from weirdo’s by bringing him into the women’s bathroom. He said«but Momma it is nasty in here» turns out even a four year old knows when he is in a nasty bathroom. Like they say«Out of the mouths of a babe». After returning to the table Byanca brought me a new plate of the two lobsters. I finally got to start eating. The cook on it was better than before but still over cooked. I attempted to eat it anyway and put a bite into my mouth. I had to spit it out because of how much salt was on the food. It was just gross! While I was waiting for the waitress to come back there was a lady at the table adjacent to us cleaning it. She started spraying the table and then got closer which caused the spray to actually come over the railing and mist was landing in my drink, my cheesy bread(that should be a sin) and my cell phone. They all had the mist of cleaning solution over them. Byanca offered to send a manager over and a Supervisor named Chris came over and apologized for my food for a second time. He advised me that he was going to discount my Lobster Lover’s Dream plate from my bill and walked away to make that happen. When he returned he handed me the slip for the new bill and pretty much just walked away. I do not understand why the manager Juan did not come over to my table as I was told would happen. I guess Juan was just too busy. The woman that sprayed my food was not brought up by the Supervisor at all. I need it to be understood, I can afford to pay my own bill. I did not need«a discount» on my bill. I wanted to eat my plate and enjoy it just like the people in the commercial. I guess Red Lobster just doesn’t Seafood like I do! Cooked right and cleaner free. Terrible Experience with food and with the cleanliness. But my waitress Byanca R was AWESOME!

I’ve been to Red Lobster on multiple occasions and have tried the various locations they have. However, this Red Lobster is by far the best compared to the others. My dad loves lobster, so we come here every time he craves it. He always ends up getting the seafood entrée, which always consists of lobster and either shrimp or crab legs. He never chooses the steak because steak just isn’t great at Red Lobster. I mean, the name already tells you what they specialize in. The one time we had steak, the steak was pretty dry even when I ordered medium. We were seated immediately because we had made reservations. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. However, it took a while for the food to be brought out. We snacked on the fresh bread, which my parents and I love! It’s soooo food — fresh from the oven where it’s soft and not too salty. Our salads were delivered and like always it was good. We ordered a lobster pizza for our appetizer and it was okay. It was lacking in lobster and sauce. There were lots of tomatoes, which I like, but we needed more lobster. For our entrees this time, my dad ordered grilled lobster and grilled shrimp with a side of gold potatoes. The lobster was quite tasty. It was sweet — the way it was cooked, grilled, enhanced the sweetness of the lobster. The lobster itself was also cooked perfectly. I would suggest getting your lobster grilled because the other times we ordered lobster, where it was steamed, it wasn’t cooked well and it didn’t taste as good as grilled. The shrimp was good too. But unfortunately, the same can’t be said for the side of gold potatoes. Only because my mom and dad had some rotten potatoes mixed in with the good potatoes. If it wasn’t for those few rotten potatoes, they were actually good. They didn’t taste starchy like the big baked potatoes. I ordered the chicken parmesan pasta and I loved it! My chicken was tender and covered in crunchy batter. There was just enough crunch. The chicken wasn’t overcooked — not rough or hard whatsoever. My pasta was also cooked well; it had a chewy texture, which is how I like my pasta. Lastly, the amount of parmesan was just right. It was cheesy but not over empowering. Ive ordered this entrée twice and will continue ordering it.
