Sunday evening and pretty slow at this Round Table and know I know why Round Table is my favorite CA pizza place. I am from NY and feel I know good pizza and hard to get here in CA. Ordered a large Italian garlic supreme from a young man that seemed pretty new. Pizza arrived fairly quickly and the order taker was nice enough. Pizza comes and it’s missing the green onions. I was very nice and asked the order taker for some green onions to just throw on. He looked confused like he did not know ingredients and defeated to a brunette woman with no name tag. She looked at me with a why are you bothering me look and very rudely said«We don’t do green onions anymore!» And walked away. From other reviews I see that is the norm for this franchisee. Why drop a million plus dollars for a franchise and treat customers like that. BTW the green on onions are on the corporate website so I guess corporate did not get her memo. I will never visit this store again and go to Santee where you are treated like a customer.

Had a really good experience. Ordered a personal for my daughter with no cheese, and only pepperoni, and a large for the rest of the crew. The pizzas were super fresh with lots of cheese. Kids had a blast in there. Everyone was friendly, and talkative. Will come back!

Zero stars! The guy behind the counter obviously hates having customers bothering him at his lame ass establishment. We were forced to come here because it was my sons after season party. Two of the machines took a total of 6 of my sons quarters, when he asked for his change back from the counter, she gave him ONE quarter back. He came to me crying, so of course I went to investigate– I then went to the counter to ask for my sons remaining change back and the«owner/manager/db?» Came out and started arguing with me asking me why my son put in so many quarters and giving me attitude and a dirty look… WTF? Uhm, he’s a CHILD ahole! Then he proceeds to lecture me about how he doesn’t own the machines(who cares) and how those precious quarters are coming out of HIS pocket. Tip for you dude, talk to the machine owners about that, not the victims that happened to get suckered out of their change. There’s a reason this place is almost always dead, the bad reviewed are True… Stay Away — If you want good service, I recommend the Round Table on University.

Im assuming the person tending the register is the owner because its obvious that this person hates, kids, men, women and any human being walking through the doors. Well that’s at least how he made my daughter and i feel. I asked if they had buffet and said«pepporoni pizza and salad bar» that is literally what he responded. And thats all they had, 1 pep and salad bar. All the negative reviews are true… so dont waste your time. Im sure ill never be coming back to this location. Oh yea, this guy looks like a body builer that despizes pizza. He must hate his business.

I’ve drove past this place many times and today I decided to take my daughter there. We walked in and the place is definitely dated, but that’s not a big deal. The man behind the counter I’m assuming is the owner by his attitude and other posts, was not inviting at all, no hello no welcome barely even looked our way. As we approached the counter to ask him what’s on one of the pizzas I asked if they were open since there was no one else but him and it was dark and quiet… he looked at me like I was the a**hole and said yes. So my daughter asked him what was in one of the pizzas, this guy couldn’t even answer he grabbed a menu and pointed. After that I just realized I would rather not give my money to someone who is above speaking to me and my daughter. There’s a reason this place was empty on a summer day when other places are thriving. I won’t be surprised if it closes soon.

I used to live in the area and my kids always wanted to go to RTP after Little League games or a special night. We moved out of the area/state in 1999. I went back to make a trip down memory lane on 7÷9÷15 and stopped by to take a photo of «our» RTP. The owner came out and asked me if I needed anything and I said No, just came by to relive old memories. We went inside and I told him what I was doing and how BADLY I missed his pizzas. He was soooo nice and so pleasant and he wouldn’t let me pay for my small pizza. I tried to hand him a $ 20 because he had been so kind and he said Don’t insult me. LOL. We talked about how hard it is to be a small business owner and how it drains you. I asked him if he even gets a paycheck. We both laughed bc I don’t either. What a sweet man. I’m sorry you others had a different experience than I did. I will NOW hold an even MORE special place in my heart for the Round Table Pizza on Severin Dr in La Mesa. Thank You Sir. I appreciate you and will be back every time I come back to San Diego.

The reason I go to this location is simple: it’s got the cleanest kitchen of any Round Table Pizza in a 5 mile radius. I know this from people that have worked at multiple RTP locations in the area. Yes, the owner is not the friendliest person. This is something everyone can agree with. He should not work the front of his location by any means as he doesn’t to how to talk to customers properly. Everyone that goes to this location knows this. This location has also always been consistent with how its made, which is far better than many other locations. Theres always the correct amount of toppings on your pizza and the pizza is always cooked properly, and it’s always fresh. The one in La Mesa is the worst when it comes to cleanliness and consistency, mostly because the owner will use pizza he took back from customers as their buffet pizza(I’m not kidding). Anyways, that’s why I choose this location. Not because of the service, because it’s not great by any means, but because of cleanliness and consistency. Most of the rest of his staff is great though. I also suggest ordering online.

Absolutely the worst round table experience I have ever had. Our beer tasted like it was run through and old sock. Pizza not cooked through. My 3 yr old waited patiently to play games only to have the machines eat our money. Owner was rude and could careless about customer service. I am crossing my fingers we don’t get sick.

I would give it two stars for the food, but the rude man(owner?) who couldn’t muster up enough kindness to acknowledge my son(4) when he politely asked for a box, knocks it to one. Purchased quarters… shouldn’t have. All old and/or not working games. Save your money and go eat at a restaurant. Same amount spent, better food and service.

My family loves Round Table but this location is horrible. The owner was manning the register and he was cold and standoffish, like he wanted to be anywhere else but here. The lettuce in the salad bar was brown around the edges and had flies flying around. The pizza was good at least. Then the wife walks in with a bag of something and starts arguing with the guy about writing the stuff off even though it came from home. If they don’t want to be in the pizza business maybe they should sell the place.

This place was DISGUSTING ! The man at the counter was extremely rude there was one slice of pizza, and only one kind of pizza, we payed for a BUFFET and it was far from it, the two drinks I tried to get were out, so I notified the man and he said he was«well aware» but did nothing to fix it ?? The plates he gave us were still dirty. We will never return here again, this place should be shut down. If I could give no stars I would. Never again.

I am one block away, and the pizza was late, and then also somehow cold? Like it just sat in the box for a while. I didn’t take away the delivery driver’s tip BECAUSEIFYOUDOTHATYOUARE A RUDE A-HOLE. Obviously it’s not his fault. I somehow had the patience to heat a slice in the toaster oven and it was good after that, but we for sure won’t order again.

I love round table pizza but this location is horrible. The customer service sucks!!! The cashier(I think her name is Cassidy) was so rude and had a face like she was annoyed by everything. She lacks people skills. This chick kept slamming stuff on the counter when you would ask for stuff. For example, I asked her a cup and she would grab it and slam it on the counter. She needs to slap herself straight. and get that attitude under control. The manager also looks pissed off. Now I see what the other Unilocal reviews is talking about. I am never going back here. stay away from here!!!

Owner/manager is unfriendly. Doesn’t seem to appreciate your business. Even seems like you are bothering him when you order. Went the other day and in between taking orders he would construct pizzas. No hand washing at all. Would handle cash, work the register, make a pizza, bus a table, make a pizza, work the register, make a pizza. Never saw any hand washing. If the owner has disgusting hygiene habits like that I can only imagine what habits his employees have. Food = Not so good. Pizza needed another few minutes of bake time… perhaps the bake oven needs adjustment. Not fully cooked. Cheese uneven. I think Round Table is one of the better chain pizza places but this one is lacking. I have been here several times and am now giving up. Not going back.

Awful service. went in there for lunch buffet. Very nice restaurant… clean. Unfriendly cashier/owner. Had only two. yes two half size and only half size pizzas to choose from. Also never served dessert pizza on buffet line. Bathrooms cleaned right when you opened. wondered how clean they were. Usually love round table. Steer clear of this one.

Horrible! I love round table and they are down the street. After three tries I’m gonna have to drive to Santee for my round table pizza Horrible!!! Be prepared for large pizzas to be the size of medium and no sauce even when you ask for extra sauce and half the pepperonis as normal. Whoever owns this location is a cheap skate

Worst attitude from manager/owner… Manager is cold /short. Lacks people skills. Ignores customers when his friends visit him. On several visits… I have gotten an upset stomach. For now. Done visiting this place. Does not keep buffet stocked. When owner is asked a question he gets upset that he was bothered.

I stopped in for their pizza and salad lunch buffet. For $ 7 it is a pretty good deal and the pizza was good, but problem was not only the minimal amount of pizza options, but the lack luster and not so friendly customer service. I started at the salad bar and being the onset of opening, I was surprise to see that most of the ingredients were not even filled to rim. I went head though and made me a salad with regular leaf lettuce, mushrooms, croutons, and cheese( ). I salad was okay, but I could not fail to notice a few gnats flying around the salad bar. Not, good The pizza was actually good. I liked the pepperoni slices( ) and the Hawaiian slice( ). Both had a good amount off cheese and toppings. The crust on both were moist with a slight buttery texture and small crunch( ). The problem was that they would not make any more pizza until more patrons came in, and when they did, it was the same kind of pizza. In addition to the pepperoni and Hawaiian, there were not works slices, cheese, sausage, etc., like the other Round Tables I have visited. I was bummed because I like to mixed it up( ). With the lack of pizza options, and they not so friendly gentlemen at the counter, I have to settle for two stars at best. Seriously, I felt un welcomed from the moment I walked in. I hate feeling like a burden. Oh yes, the bread twist were a little under done( ). What ever happen to service with a smile???
