I went there once to pick up an order. My girlfriend, who lives nearby, said that I must try the Bean and Cheese burrito. Normally I think«Just a bean and cheese burrito?». Well, I was sold. The beans are DYNAMITE!!! The tortilla so soft. I would order 10 of them and put some in the freezer for the next day after a long night of bar hopping. Definitely going back!

Been coming here since I was a kiddo over 30 years ago. The owner always recognizes us when we come in and is always very welcoming and is never rude to us. My hubby loves the ranchero style burritos and they offer many different types. I love everything from their crispy chicken tacos(all white meat) to their sopes and cheese enchiladas and their chilequiles with green sauce. Yeah the place is kinda outdated but as long as they are clean and serve delish food I am there!!! :)

Love this place! The food and service is great. Like with any place always remember to check your order before you leave. Once in awhile they get the order wrong. We came home with a bean & cheese burrito that was not ranchero style(wet) and had to go all the way back :(but besides that the food was worth the inconvenience!

I’ve been here with my family a total of two times. My mom and step-dad came on their own two additional times. It’s there favorite place to get Mexican food. My step-dad loved the menudo, and the rest of us love the chilaquiles. My mom and I like the red ones, while my brother had the green. My family loved the breakfast here, but we’ve never had lunch here so we can’t say anything about that. The only complaint I suppose would be the customer service, which there was none really. They don’t come check on you while they eat, they also expect you to serve your own drinks. Which isn’t that bad, but considering the only people in the restaurant didn’t mean they were swamped with people. We will be coming back though, probably only for breakfast.

What a bummer. Took my mother here for breakfast this morning and ordered bacon, eggs and pancakes. I guess that’s my fault for ordering American food in a Mexican restaurant but regardless the foods gross. The bacon was deep fried in pork grease you can taste it from the moment it touches your lips, yuck gross. The eggs were cooked in a pan of something else that left a funky taste on them and same story with the pancakes. Are there some food codes being broke here? Uh I think so! Well I guess the chips were good. Yum I’m just so full –___– Def wouldn’t come back for breakfast here again.

Dos Amigos Café has a pretty large menu, but my advice is to stick with the bean and cheese burrito enchilada style. Thing hits a home run and keeps me coming back. Not totally impressed with other menu items, but then again I haven’t ordered everything.

Words do not do this place justice. Please be sure to view my photo of the $ 2 bean taco. Tiniest tortilla with barely a smear of cheap refried beans. Nothing else. My friend started crying when she got it she was so upset at how sad it looked.

Just bad all the way around, food sucks, service sucks, attitude sucks. You should check your take out orders they get it wrong every time. Sit down orders used to be good about a year ago, but now they sucks as bad as the take out. I suggest finding another place this one is not worth the rude staff and nasty food.

Okay so I am going to give this place 1 star but if I could get them none I would. First the owner Gustavo our Gus whatever his name is, is extremely rude and disrespectful. I feel like everyone deserves a second chance. I have eaten here 4X and each time my family and I have had a horrible experience. 1st time My sister and I order the fried fish(Mojara) My sister puts a chunk of fish into her mouth and realizes the bottom side is full of blood. The owner did not apologize but did fry her a new fish(which she did not eat cause she was grossed out). 2nd time I order the fish and cut the roof of my mouth open with a part of the fish that is almost a sea shell consistency(part of the face) A piece broke off into my beans and I took a bite of beans it stabbed me in the roof of my mouth. I showed the owner and he said«Be more careful next time». I thought, you know what I am not sure if they served it this way, or I broke it into the beans myself, so i let it go. 3rd time last Friday(no meat I am Catholic) I order fried fish with garlic(my exact words on the phone order, was fried fish with garlic) Sent my hunny to pick it up he come home with $ 22.00 worth of food. I am like what the heck is this I open it i get a plane fish and a plate with garlic shrimp that i never ordered. Ok 4th and last time I will ever eat here. I go tonight with my kids, wait 25 minutes for a(yeah I know) fried fish with garlic to go. I drive home so happy, because the fish looked amazing(i called it the vampire killer) had perfect little pieces of fried garlic all over it. I was like finally this mom of 8 children is going to enjoy a meal for once. I take a bite and yup you guessed it, it is raw raw raw(puke in my mouth) raw… I take it in and I am very nice(wanting to be a good example to my sons) I let the girl know its raw and she says okay. She walks to the back and comes back with a receipt. She answers the phone and takes an order as I stand there waiting. She then gets off the phone 5 minutes later and hands me my money back. Uh no sorry no checking the fish? I look at her like are you kidding me and ask to speak to the owner. I walk over to the owner and say hi just to let you know my fish was raw. He says I know, I say this has happened more then once he says yeah i know the problem. So I say okay so why would you serve me this then. He grabs the container and walks away. I asked for his name and walked out… So no sorry nothing but a tummy ache. Thanks for ruining my night AGAINDOSAMIGOS!

I Was here on Saturday with some friends for lunch, this was 1st time for all of us and I will NOT be back! The food was alright but horrible Service and I don’t like waiting for my drink over 25minunets when there was only 2 other tables occupied. I also don’t think someone should have to ask for water 3 different times before they can finally get it. I also don’t recommend getting a Margarita. One of the people I went with couldn’t even drink it because the syrup was that thick & gross!!!

I was really feeling like enjoying a bowl of menudo, so I asked my friends on Facebook to recommend a good place. They did a great job. The menudo was delicious, not too spicey – muy sabrosa. The ambience is not much to look at, your typical hole in the wall diner, but they are connected by door to their family owned carneceria. A very old sweet abuelita bused the tables with a perpetual smile on her face. I was so happy with their menudo, I ordered pozole to go.

Top Notch, havent ordered anything that i didnt like. Its relaxed, they usually have some sports on the TV. Great salsa! I wish the one in Fullerton didnt close down or i wish they would expand to more of Orange County.

Typical mexican restaurant. Nothing to get too excited about. I’ve been coming here off and on for quite some time. This use to be my go to place for menudo on a weekend morning. The menudo is ok. its not the greatest and not the worst. It is a decent bowl that you will like. But I am always looking for the best and I am pretty sure there is better menudo in Whittier. Will have to keep on looking.

Excellent food! I purchased some chicken tacos and beef tamales for a small gathering I was having and EVERYONE raved on how good the food was. The chicken tacos are stuffed with all white meat, not the funky mix of meat you sometimes get from the corner taco stand and the beef tamales were perfect! They were still hot even an hour and a half after I picked them up. I would recommend Dos Amigos to anybody looking for an authentic, delicious, reasonably priced Mexican meal. Muy bien!

Mexican Food is my FAVORITE, so I’m usually pretty easy to please. This place is THEBEST! I grew up going to Dos Amigos when they still had a location in Buena Park. I cant say enough good things about the people that run this joint. Hands down BESTMEXICANFOODEVER… and I’ve been to Mexico!!!

Now, with me working in Santa Fe Springs right now, this place is pretty close by! Good food! Dos Amigos, does not get skimpy on the amount or size of the food, that is for sure! They give you huge chunks of meat! I got a carne asada burrito smothered in red chile sauce, cheese and sour cream! Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Delicious! Their service is fast, from when we order at the store, to pickup, it is about 10 minutes! Very quick and good food! 4 stars only due to eating it as take out, if I ate there and took in the whole experience then it may be different, look for an update on this review in the future. Little hole in the wall, on the Santa Fe Springs side of La Mirada, it is easy to miss!

This place is quite authentic and very, very good.(nowhere near as great as Tacos Jalisco in Orange, see my review on that separately.) But have eaten here numerous times and is very, very good. Try one of their burritos(preferably lengua, yum), get it wet: covered in red sauce, sour cream, cheese, and guacamole. So good… and they also have a great deal on their chile rellenos, because for just a couple bucks you get a chile relleno(which is a VERY good chile relleno for a relleno, trust me — thick, big, scrumptious) and it comes with salad. Sometimes I just get that a la carte instead of buying a whole combo plate, and try to save it for the next day since my burrito’s so big and I’m eating that… but never am able to go without at least a few bites of the relleno as well since it’s so scrumptious… :)
