First Choice Emergency Room

This is our 4^th visit here and each time we have had awesome care. Very quick and very detailed in what care they give. Tonight, Steve, was my Son’s nurse and was very pleasant and very attentive to my Son’s needs! Thank you as always!

I wouldn’t give this facility one star if I didn’t have too. My spouse went there recently. On first visit did the CT scan and so forth. It clearly says if symptoms worsen please return to the facility. So couldn’t get in to a specialist before 2 weeks, in dire pain, so he returned. They treated him horribly. They basically refused service then started questioning the medications he takes for other issues that he had disclosed to them on the first visit. They basically upon refusing to see him, he started to, leave and come home. This facility called the police stating they were were concerned about his safety. He had not taken any of this other medication which they referred to that day. Freaking calling the police on him, for what, nothing. He decided not to get in his vehicle to return home for fear of being arrested. Called a cab to bring him home. This is nuts!!! When the police arrived they pulled their crap that they wanted to help him. This is harassment of the worst kind. I also know that another person went there took an x-​Ray and completely missed a broken arm. I wouldn’t get near this place if I were you. Bayou might end up in jail and be on La Portes watch list. How dare they. Sent an email to customer service. I should note I have personally used the one in Deer Park and love them. Take a few extra minutes to hit the Deer Park one and stay far away from this particular branch.

I went in to get an antibiotic prescription for a UTI. Once I read the emergency room bits on the checkin form I asked what the cost of the visit would be. I was told she couldn’t provide an estimate and it would depend on how much my insurance would pay. I asked about cash payments and she said it would START at $ 275 but she couldn’t estimate. Needless to say I walked out. Avoid this place.

1.5 hours til I’m expecting a house full of company & SURPRISE my son fractures his elbow in a bike injury. I know that a traditional ER will take HOURS & we now, conveniently, have a First Choice Emergency Room strategically placed minutes away from the skate park. With blood dripping, we entered a beautiful & clean environment. A couple of quick forms to sign (vs the stack we receive in a hospital) & we were quickly walked back to a room. The staff was cheerful and did a great job piecing my kid back together. Our whole adventure was wrapped up in less than an hour & we made it home in time to greet our guests! Thanks FCER for your friendly service & for respecting my time.
