Double Play Pizza

Their deals are pretty awesome! From my understanding they only have pickup and delivery.

Best pizza place in LA Puente. I have come here for years and for the prices the pizzas are awesome. You can get two mediums one topping with a two liter for less than 13 $ you can’t beat that.
The owners are so nice and have always treated myself and my family with respect. Like I said for the prices their pizza, sandwiches, and wings are great. My order has always been on point. I recommend this place to anyone who wants a good pizza for affordable pricing.

So why does this place deserve 5 stars? Well let’s go through each star. In no particular order of course.
Star 1 — it’s a local mom and pop shop. It’s been around for as long as I remember. We started going sometime in the 90’s and haven’t stopped.
Star 2 — the quality. The quality competes among any of the big chains and even any of the smaller chains. I would almost ALWAYS choose this place over anywhere else.
Star 3 — the consistency. Like I said, I’ve been coming since the 90’s and it’s always been great. The dough hasn’t changed, the cheese hasn’t changed and the amount they put on each pizza hasn’t changed.
Star 4 — The speed. I can go in about 10 minutes and they always have my pizza ready for me. It doesn’t matter if it’s one or four pizzas, it’s always fresh and ready.
Star 5 — the price. I picked up a medium pepperoni pizza for about $ 6.50! I don’t know another place where you can get a great pizza for that price. They also have great delivery deals. Two pizza and soda for like $ 15!

Really good pizza! I hate chain pizza places and prefer mom & pop chains. This place is really good! I’ve ordered twice already. I really enjoyed the combo pizza, really delicious but kind of pricey. Their carry out special are really great deals. I think for 2 Medium 1 topping pizza and 1 litter soda is $ 18. I’m pretty sure that’s what we paid. Really good neighborhood pizza with really nice staff!

i come from time to time to buy pizza (usually Hawaiian)…
Food quality is ok for the price,
Costumer service is always horrible …
im giving it one star cuz last time i went costumer service wasnot only horrible … but beyond my comprehension…
I asked for some extra packages of grinded cheese … to witch the lady refuse, claiming it was their policy to give a certain number per pizza …
i understood that and ask her to charge me a couple … She refused saying she cant …
are you kidding me? im not asking you for free stuff … CHARGE ME !!!
anyways i left and came home to find my pizza was in horrible shape …
cheese all over the box … hoo well …
lesson learned… LAST TIME I BUY HERE!!!

The owners were being disrespectful to their own employee! Never going back again!!! The pizza was soooo greasy. I think it is important that you all know this place is rather small so to not get someones attention means they are really trying to ignore you.

This place is one of my favorite pizza places friendly service is key in a lot of places and their pizza is so good their wing are ok and their calzones are awesome as well and great deals.

it was a GREAT deal money wise, taste was ok not the best pie in town but if you are on somewhat of a budget you cant beat their deals! Also super friend staff I would for sure get pizza here again.

Came here because it was the closest 4.5 star pizza spot to the Vineland drive in. Very disappointed. Tastes exactly like little Cesar’s. I should have gone there instead and saved myself $ 5. Bunk tasting pizza. (Although, they were fast. Had my order ready in 10 minutes.)

Pizza is so bomb! You should also try the breadsticks cheap and tastes amazing.

I had a calzone for lunch yesterday, I ordered a pepperoni/​jalapeño with extra cheese. I love pizza and this was one of the best I have had. If you are in La Puente you must try it.

Sucks I used to love ordering their pizza and wings. After today I will no longer order from there. They gave me unsauced BBQ wings and when I called to complain they said that’s how they come, wow really I’ve never eaten them like that before and then said I could bring them back to show them. F you! I’ll take my service elsewhere!!!

Was not satisfied at all! Just ordered a meat lovers and I took a look at it and said where’s the meat at!

I live about 5 minutes from Double Play so the location is great for me. The pizza is pretty good. The cheese is great. Actually, the cheese is a little chewy so it may not be for everyone but I enjoy it. They get the food out really fast too. My orders never take more than 15 minutes to be delivered. The employees seem very nice too. The only complaint I have is the pizza’s seem to lack sauce. I know people say they lack in toppings but I never have that issue. The price is also cheap if you pick up and get a special. It cost a little more for delivery. It’s good pizza, it’s just not the best you’ll ever have…

Ok, so I typically reserve awarding of the «Five Stars» for places you have to try at least ONCE in your lifetime. Although you could easily find better pizza in other parts of the world, I promise you, you won’t find a better pizza for the price ANYWHERE. If you do, please let me know so I can call you a liar and we can have a «Best Pizza for the Price Faceoff» (wow, sounds delicious).
Double Play pumps out really good pizza for a really cheap price. Forget that cardboard, under-​sauced, and cheese lacking pizza you can pick up at Little Ceasars. Come to Double Play and get a pizza so tasty, you actually want to eat the crust!
My absolute favorite is the «everything» pizza. The bell peppers and onions aren’t limp and soggy when they come out of the oven, they are crisp and flavorful (like they are supposed to be). Each pizza always has plenty of cheese, and if you order a topping, they put plenty on as well. The pizza sauce is slightly sweet (my niece loves it).
Ok, so you may have a better bargain on a great tasting pizza in your neck of the woods, but I promise you that if you are in La Puente, you won’t find a better pizza.

Been born and raised in La Puente for 19 years and I have never been to Double Play Pizza till today. Always passed by it and after me always reading the reviwes about this place on Unilocal I decided to finally try it out. I decided to try there calzones and I was blown away. The calzone was so good and was possibly the best calzone I have ever had. I definetly recommend trying it. Haven’t tried the pizza yet however I am looking foward to it.
