These guys helped me out of a bind. My old heater finally gave up on new years eve. They had a replacement one In Stock and held the store open till I could make it in to pick it up. Very helpful advice

I have lived and shopped in La Quinta for over 37 years. I have always tried to shop locally as I was employed by the community and my wife has taught classes and provided services locally for same amount of time. I have visited this shop about five times for parts, twice I purchased as I needed a part that day and the price was not worth having to deal with. Three times, including Thursday, I walked out after being given a very high price quote for a part. Thursday June was latest attempt. I needed a diaphragm for a Zodiac G3, he pulled one from the wall and said, $ 58 plus tax, I said, What! and he looked at tag and said, oh sorry, $ 59. I told him I paid around $ 15 for last one and he said they did not have any after market ones, only the OEM and it was $ 59. I left, went home went online and found a shop in Arizona, purchased for $ 12.99 which included shipping. Received it in the mail today, Saturday, in original packaging, OEM not a knock off. How in the hell does this store dare to charge 300% more than a competitor? I understand brick and mortar prices and I do not know if the Arizona shop has a building. I do know I am willing to pay a reasonable price to shop local which might be at a max 30% more than a competitor but I will never shop, or even try to shop at this store again. This is the one next to Stater Bros in La Quinta on Hwy 111 at Washington.

Went in there for some advice about my pool water having algae and cloudy water, the guy just looked at me like a deer in the headlights. He had no clue on how to assist me with any helpful pleasant advice. He asked me what I have been adding to pool and made me feel stupid because I didn’t know the numbers from the sample tests. Another guy walked up and asked some questions at least and acted like he wanted to help me. He suggested some algaecide and sent me on my way with a $ 26.00 bill. I feel their customer service sucks and they are ill educated on pool chemistry as I am! This is bad if you are running a pool supply business, you should know how to assist somebody and remedy problems and not be rude! I will not be back there and will be forced to go to Leslies next time and deal with the bigger company! Good luck to myself?

I just had The Pool Store install a new variable speed pool pump, using their service division, Roadrunner Pool Service. Couldn’t be more pleased with the entire experience. The technician, Dominic, was certainly impressive in his knowledge, and obviously had installed many, many of these pumps before. He was fast, efficient, and clean. Oh, and by the way, the price beat everyone else I talked to in the valley.

Im a new owner of a pool and not very knowledgeable about maintaining one. The customer service there started off good with getting a few necessities and then going back to them feeling I would get the same service. But not knowing that I had just bought a used piece of equipment. One of the sales person inspected the equipment to make sure everything was there and sold it to me partially put together and said nothing that it was a used equipment with water spots on it. So I took it back to get my money back and wasn’t very happy that all I was getting was store credit. So I spent my store credit that day to get out of there and I well never returned nor use them to clean my pool like was thinking of doing. I do not recommend using this company for anything.

Thank You Pool Store! Just wanted to write a quick note thanking you guys for taking care of us over 4th of July weekend. We rented a home and the pool equipment started to give out, the property management company couldn’t send anyone out until Monday. We called The Pool Store, they were able to diagnose the problem over the phone, had the parts on hand and walked us through the repair to do ourselves, the guy behind the counter, Alex, saved the weekend! These guys know their business.

i bought my polaris 9300sport robotic cleaner from this store, and i have to say, even though they” seem” to know a lots they do not have a great personality, the only time i saw them smile was when i spent $ 1,200 to buy the cleaner and every time i have a problem they tell me they do not know how to work on it, they need to call the zodiac company, i was just told that they do have a specialist that works on this type of machine, but when i go there they give me the round around, the never say hi when you go on, no eye contact at all iam sorry i bought it there because there are other pool places i could have gone to give them my bussiness but i did not and regreat it a lot! i now have to go and ask them for help to put a motor back into my cleaner that cost me $ 320.00 and was told they do have a tech that knows how to fix this machine, now i will see what they will do for me, if i do not get help? iam back here to let you know how it went! it is the most unfriendly store ever!!! how good it is if they know a lot if they do not really help you with a major problem, it seems as they want to sell you stuff but when you have a problem no one knows how to help! we will see!

Helpful and professional. I bring my pool questions here, and I never feel like I’m being upsold.
