Same great food … same great service! This is the perfect place after a hard days work at the slot machines or poker tables. I had the wonderful General Tso’s Shrimp. The shrimp was perfect with a very light batter and the shrimp must have been the last item added to the plate because the batter was still firm and tasty and not lost in the taste of the wonderful vegetables and spicy sauce. Wifey had their Phở and declared it great as well. If you get out this way, even if you never enter the casino, give this place a try!

After a long & fun day in the casinos we decided to end our night at Asia. We heard a lot of great things about this place, so we were very excited. As soon as we got to the restaurant, there was about a 25 min wait however a friend of mine was having some health issues, her blood sugar started to drop, so I immediately asked one of the waiters if I could have a Coke to give her. His response to me was«don’t ask me ask somebody else». I asked the hostess for a Coke and she told me that She had to first get an approval from her manager before she could do that. I explained to her that it was a health emergency not that we were trying to get a free soda. They eventually did give us a free Coke… once we were seated we all ordered water. Now I’m the type of person I like about five or six lemons in my water… So I asked for a bowl of lemons and the waitress told me that she would have to charge me three dollars extra. I skipped on the lemons. Overall the food was pretty good, it was definitely overpriced. I don’t mind spending extra money on things when out of town but the way we were treated was absolutely ridiculous. This place was highly unprofessional and the waitstaff was extremely rude.

Decent food… but the terrible service will keep me from coming here again. And I do mean TERRIBLE. Waitress never once came by and asked how anything was. Stopped by to give a late drink refill, and that’s about all we saw of her until it was time for the check.

I love this place! The Vietnamese cuisine is excellent. I also enjoy most of the Chinese & Thai inspired dishes as well. All around great taste of the orient! On the pricey side because of the casino but mostly worth it.

I was quite surprised. Open late and the wait staff was very nice. The sushi, I ordered something off the menu, a vegetarian roll which he suggested, was very yummy. Presentation was good. Not many options for vegetarians but waiter said almost anything can be done without meat. I ordered the drunken noodles. The flavor was great and the vegetables fresh. A very nice experience over all. The only aspect that could be improved would be the atmosphere. It is a tad cafeteria style and too bright!

Prices are higher compared to other asian restaurants since it is inside a casino, however, the food here is delicious. Kind of hard to obtain a table sometimes so be prepared to wait if you have a couple people joining you. I recommend the pan fried noodles with beef and Chinese brocoli.

Located inside the L’auberge casino resort, we came here with a party of 20 for lunch. They were able to quickly arrange the tables to accommodate all of us together. Firstly, Tina was our waitress and she was amazing. She was calm, polite, and had everything under control. It’s definitely easier said than done when you’re dealing with our older Asian family members and the 7 or so kids we had. There’s definitely a variety of food choices. From pad thai to salty fish to duck noodle to sushi, they’ll definitely have an asian cuisine that will satisfy your tummy. I’m definitely not going through the list of what everyone had ordered, but rather just what I had. This is probably the 3rd time of the weekend that I ordered the hot and sour soup. It’s probably one of the best I’ve ever had. It’s actually spicy! The boyfriend and his sister ordered some sushi which I picked off of. It was pretty good, though not better than the sushi restaurants that you’ll get in Houston. Overall, it’s a good experience.

My husband and I decided to try this place after reading some of the good reviews online and I was craving a California roll pretty bad, so we thought we should just give this place a go. At first, the service was amazing. As soon as we sat down, a lovely young blonde waitress came up to us, and we told her our situation that we were fasting and we break our fast at a certain time, and she gladly obliged and actually had our food brought out minutes before we broke our fast, which was awesome! The food was meh. I’ve definitely had better. I probably just ordered the wrong thing because my husbands food was pretty good. I ordered the teriyaki chicken, beef, and shrimp and it came with a side of white rice. My husband ordered the lemongrass beef, lemongrass chicken, and the shrimp with fried rice. The California roll was very good and overall the food was okay so no complaints there. After we finished the meal I wanted the check and a to-go box but our waitress was no where to be found. After a while I finally found her and asked her for a box and the check and obviously it took forever for her to bring it out. I wasn’t in a rush so I didn’t really mind waiting. I realized the box was leaking a little so I asked a different waiter for a bag and he just straight up LAUGHED in my face. Like not just a chuckle, a big hearty laugh!!! I was sooo confused. Like why is this random guy laughing at me for asking for a bag? He said it was funny that I didn’t want to carry the box in my hand… Just to make this clear, almost every single person that left this restaurant left with a bag, so my request wasn’t a very outrageous request. The check finally came out and I expected to get some fortune cookies like the rest of the restaurant patrons, but nope. No fortune cookies for me! lol. At that point I was pretty much just fed up with their service so I didn’t care about the damn cookies and I just wanted to leave. Definitely never setting foot in that place again. Rant over. One last note– ITSSODAMNOVERPRICED!!! NOTWORTHITATALL. That is all:)

When craving Asian food, Asia is the closest place that offers good authentic asian food in LC. I don’t agree with the pricings but can’t expect any less since it’s located inside the casino. They offer Chinese, Vietnamese and Sushi. Not many sushi places in LC so Asia is your best bet for decent sushi as well. I suggest you order my favorite entrée’s on the menu which is the caramelized pork spareribs and pecking duck. They also remodeled recently making the restaurant more spacious so the wait time isn’t as long anymore.

The food was good! My husband ordered the mixed grill platter, which was the lemongrass grilled meat but he had an unidentifiable meat that we suspect was chicken. Either it was cooked wrong or was just bad, either way we didn’t eat it! Our service was under par, which was a downer… I ran out of my cocktail and never got a refill, and we sat there about an hour. Overall, it was good, and we will Revisit…

Woot woot for Asia! My favorite place to be depressed at in lake Charles after losing a stack to the gambling tables. I’ll be honest and bias because every time I’ve ate at Asia 4 times in this past month and I live 6 hours away… I never had to pay. Phew with that out of the way lets talk about depression eating. 5* Thai beef salad– like party in your mouth. Who knew the casino could whip up something marinated in lemongrass so good. It tasted like home cooking 3* — dim sum not the best and not terrible if you are craving it then eat it 3* — ramen wow, did I just eat ramen at a casino. The broth was good but wasn’t going to be out of this world 4* –sushi– the hamachi topped with foie gra! Damn son that’s one hand of black jack! The sushi was fresh and good 5*- fried rice… I know how lame of me to order fried rice but I’m and addict and it’s good Overall the place is open til 4am it’s 50 steps from the black jack table and they always know how to make me feel better after losing at the casino!

Asia’s remodel & updated menu are a total improvement! I was actually shocked with how good our food was, since our last dinner here(over a year ago) was less than stellar. Our table of 8 was seated almost immediately when we arrived sans reservation at 7:30 p.m. on a Saturday evening, during Superbowl weekend no less. Service was quick, and our waitress was really nice about splitting the check four ways. Prices were very reasonable(LARGE, share-able entrees for $ 14 – 20PP), especially considering L’auberge is a somewhat expensive resort. Our table shared the crab rangoon and shrimp spring rolls — on par with just about every other Asian restaurant ever — as well as an order of fried rice. The fried rice was phenomenal. It was packed with tons of egg and fried somewhat crispy, similar to how it is prepared at a hibachi restaurant. Winning dinner entrees were the shrimp & chicken pad Thai, although it could have used a little more spice for my taste, as well as the General Tso’s chicken. Others at our table ordered the Hunan chicken & orange chicken, and seemed to enjoy theirs as well. One of our companions ordered the sushi and said it was appetizing although nothing to write home about, similar in taste & quality to grocery store varieties and a bit overpriced compared with most sushi restaurants. For those interested in cost, my husband’s and my bill totaled $ 50 and included an appetizer, 2 entrees, 2 beers and 1 $ 10 glass of wine. I would definitely revisit during our next stay at L’auberge.

I went there to out down my name for a table. The hostess Alexus was very busy texting in a drawer and ignoring the customers that were in front of her. So a group of us just stood there pretty long. This is why if even had time to read her name tag. Finally we got a buzzard and the wait was 30mins. So we went into the casino. In 20mins the table was ready so we were excited and headed over there. She had an attitude and just made us feel that we were cutting Into her texting and social time. Service 0⁄5 Waiter Chin was pretty busy. But checked on us and kept our table clean. Took our order very quick. Service 5⁄5 Let’s get down to the food: Lake Charles roll was about 8small pieces with fried crawfish tails spicy mayo and Avacado. Great knife work 5⁄5 Chicken Lettuce wrap was small little bits of chicken but tasty. 4⁄5 Dry crispy noodles were really good. A lot of meat, shrimp, and veggie. 5⁄5 After averaging everything if the hostess was not that bad I would have rated it higher.

This review is for 12/18/2014. I like this new improved menu. I am shocked to see«RAMEN» in new menu. Taste: not authentic ramen, it is fish sauce base. it was ok. but appetizer pork belly is tasty. Asia is much better then next door«Lilli’s».

Asia restaurant space has expanded which helps with the wait time. I come to l’auberge at least once a year and am surprised to always find new items on the menu. This time we had the spicy Hunan chicken and spicy tuna tacos(new) — neither were actually spicy. Most places serve mini tuna tacos but these were 3 standard size tacos which explains the $ 18 price point. I would recommend putting your name down for a table about 30 minutes or so before you want to eat — especially since the café is closed so there are less options available for guests.

My rating of this restaurant has come down. The good was not that good anymore. We had duck noodle soup, crispy seafood egg noodle, shu Mai, Chinese sausage fried rice, fish maw soup, stir fried noodles, and tiuechow shrimp rolls. None of them were remarkable. To top it off, there were two guys, whom I presumed were managers, who seemed annoyed, rude, and not helpful. I don’t know if I should eat there again the next time I am at L’Auberge.
