Baby Basics

Just tried to find this shop, and after making 2 laps around the block I realized the empty building with a For Lease sign on it was the one where Baby Basics used to be. So I guess this place is closed and never bothered to update their info.

I like this place. Prices are fair, and it’s great to be able to trade in baby clothes. I have traded stuff in quite a few times and as long as you follow the rules (button up, zip and fold all clothes) she is nice.

I would have given no stars if I could. The owner is very nasty and treats her clientele with no respect. I will never step foot in there again.

If I could give BB 10 stars I would.
The clothes at this store are always in great shape at prices you just can’t beat. Nearly all of my daughter’s clothes are from this shop along with any stroller high chair socks sheets shoes etc that I have bought her over the past 2 years. The women running the store are extremely friendly and ensure their store has a relaxed yet professional environment. Plus they never try to short you When you bring items in to sell. I am often shocked when bringing things in that they pay what the item is worth rather than ¹⁄₈^th of its worth like most consignment shops will do. I will keep coming back to this store until my daughter grows out of it entirely.

Went in today to sell my daughter’s baby clothes and she gave me an extremely fair price!!! She had a great selection of baby clothes for under 2 years old, anything larger starts to drop off a fair bit. I’m glad I have six months to use the credit towards my four kids! Thank you, it was a pleasant experience :)

They are alright. I agree that the items shown outside draw you in knowing they may have something that youre looking for. We bought some baby toy/​stuff recently and it was better than full price obviously but once home I realized it hadnt been cleaned whatsoever, as in chunks of food/​puke/​whatever from the past owner. While I understand it wont be brand new, when I consign at most places it has to be clean or they wont take it obviously this place still takes it. I knew it had some road debris from being outside but this was covered in it, so I scrubbed it down and as I did I see that some of the toy mustve been chewed on by a dog at some point, not a huge deal for us but even so it shouldve been marked down for that, had I looked it over more thoroughly I wouldve said something considering other ones they sold had parts missing for lowering prices.

I really like shopping at Baby Basics. Every morning they put some bigger items outside and that is what first drew me in. There is always a good selection and lots of toys and other accessories. The staff is always helpful and pleasant. I’ve even sold several items there and was happy with the price they offered me.

Before my son was born I frequented this store often and made purchases. When he was a newborn and infant I made purchases and sold back some of my stuff. Now that a few years have passed and I’m well versed in what’s good and what’s not so good and I no longer have a baby but a toddler this is no longer my destination. Her prices are good and she has a huge selection for under 18 months for both clothes and gear but stuff begins to wane any larger. As it turns out while I’m an avid used clothes shopper I’m also a label and high end snob. I know what’s good and what lasts and also what has a resale potential but this store does not have that high end very often. Because of my sons age it’s harder all around to find his size used but I utilize a local thrift store and only buy mid to high end, I haunt new stores clearance racks for the cheapest stuff and there’s a twice a year sale at our local fairgrounds that has tons in the sizes I need. While I still tell people with small or yet unborn babies to go here for equipment or infant clothing I think I do better for the stuff I want shopping new, thrift stores and the twice yearly consignment sale.

They have nice «gently used» baby things for great prices. Some stuff might have a bit more wear but the lady who runs it appears to price accordingly. There’s a huge selection as well. If you can help it don’t bother paying full price for baby stuff. This place will save you some $$.
