Hop Jack’s

Our favorite place to dine locally. Food is always good. Reverse happy hour menu offers so many options that we often wait until 9pm to go there. Staff is always courteous and attentive. Food is flavorful and very good. I would absolutely recommend eating here. Also, order the fresh donuts for dessert, they’re better than the ones at Pike Place

Great service, ordering drinks and food came fast. Atmosphere chill, average loudness.

I’d love to be able to give them a higher rating and I just can’t!
The food is decent. My sis and I split a sandwich & appetizers. It was fine.
The service, on the other hand, was terrible. The waiter was not attentive at all. Hardly looked at us, messed up the drink order, didn’t check on us (it wasn’t super busy), and just came off as arrogant and like he didn’t want to be there. And REALLY didn’t want to serve us.
So, again while the food is delish (and drinks are too!), the poor service will keep us away.

Went with a group of 8 for lunch. Service was absolutely the best I’ve experienced in a long time. Cathy was our server and could not have been more fun or accommodating — she is a pure delight and clearly enjoys people! Food was great too. I think this is my new Oly favorite!

Great atmosphere, a few good specialty items… But generally just a basic Red Robin menu

It was alright sat at bar area the bartender was great, he pretty much let me taste every beer on tap which was a bonus then I had three beers. The food was pretty good for appetizers. They have two happy hours one from 2 – 6 then 9– close can’t beat that. I also heard there lemon drops are really good.

Had drinks and appetizers at the bar with my husband and mother in law. The bar tender was super friendly. I ordered the lemon drop, and we sampled the Mediterranean flatbread, buffalo chicken and the tempura zucchini. This was good bar food, seasoned well. The zucchini wasn’t mushy and all the batters were crisp. The lemon drop wasn’t overly sweet and served in an ice mold, which was pretty cute.

I have been here a few times. Today was not that great. Sat in bar area… which is right by the kitchen. Was watching the employees. Not a lot of hand washing going on. Watched one lady in particular, who’s work short was a size or two too small. With her gloves on touching all kinds of stuff, took her forever to change gloves… with no hand washing before or after. Waitstaff was disorganized. Food was not that good. Prices are high and quality of food lower than Red Robin or The Ram. Not so sure that I would return after this last visit.

Excellent service and food. The manager went above and beyond to get us seated quickly and was very knowledgeable on Gluten free items and allergies. Overall a fantastic visit. Hope they will decide to allow call in’s to be put on a wait list when driving to restaurant to avoid waits for kids. :). Special thanks to the manager for making our visit great. (Our waitress was also great and food came fast). The street tacos are awesome.

Hands Down the Best Restaurant in Thurston County. We’ve been eating at Hop Jacks for 3 years now, they have changed their menu here and there but the food stays great and the drinks cold. They have delicious lemonades, and a Huckleberry Margarita that’s to die for. I am consistently raving about their food and customer service. Never a bad experience. We’ve even had birthday dinner 15+ people. Great food. Great addition to the community.

Drinks are decent. My glass had a hole in it, so when I tipped it up my drink spilled everywhere. I ordered the flat iron steak, medium and a side salad. Steak was a shoe sole. Totally overdone and inedible. My salad came after my steak and after third bite I found a hair in it, so had to stop eating. They did take salad off the bill which I really appreciated. Spouse ordered a burger and thought it was pretty good. Can’t get over hair in food though, so won’t be returning.

I went here after watching the Star Wars: The Force Awakens. My mind was fulfilled by a great movie, and now I needed an equally impressive meal to quench my hunger.
The chairs will again feel the presence of my buttocks, as it delivered on my steep request, and did so without any kind of inconvienence. I ate as a member of a party of 8 and the waitresses earned all of the money in my pocket.

Happy hour starters and beer. Fried zucchini and buffalo wings were favorites. Rib tips, chipotle chicken flatbread, and cheese sticks were all good also. Skuttlebutt 10 Below is among my top 3 beers! Service was timely. Wait staff were friendly. Good food, good atmosphere, good company.

we were really interested in coming here for brunch, but we didn’t realize that brunch ended at 11am (and we got there a little after 11 — boo). large restaurants with lots of seating options. i love that their booths are extremely large — we fit our party of 5 very very comfortably, although getting up to go to the restroom did pose quite a bit of a challenge, especially towards the end of the meal.
We opted for sandwiches and burgers for our lunch. nice big servings and their home made chips on the side. and i really enjoyed their chips — nice thickness and very crunchy. i had their guacamole burger which held up very nicely, despite how large the burger was. i actually ended up eating it open faced ¼ through my meal, and i didn’t even finish it all the way. our party also tried their calamari, grilled cheese sandwich (nice and crispy/​crunchy bread — just how grilled cheeses should be) and their western burger — all quite good.
But i think that’s where it ends really — everything was just good. Nothing stood out as amazing or wonderful about the food, service, or location. I’d come back if we were in the area — and maybe come back to try their brunch menu — but i wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here.

I really like the food at Hop Jacks but the service is really hit or miss. I have been here a dozen times and out of those times I have had great service just once or twice. Their prices are a little on the high side.
I do like the variety of items on the menu and usually anyone can find something they like.
Their lemon drop martinis are addictive and my favorite drink anywhere — the ice glass is super cool.

We eat here often, we love the sports on the T. V’s, and the food is always hot!
Good mixed drinks, a decent wine list, and sizable portions keep us returning.
Its a neighborhood spot, we enjoy eating here.

I went during lunch on a Friday with a friend to grab a quick bite to eat. The atmosphere was awesome. We sat down at a booth at the bar. The food was phenomenal and he made sure our drinks were always topped off. I will definitely be coming back with my husband for dinner so I can try one of their beers. I did notice their beer really is ice cold because the tap pipe it pours from was literally covered in a solid block of ice! So awesome!

I tried this place again and you know what? The service was good. Yay! I had a tasty sandwich and a cold pint of lager. A lot better experience.

We luuuuurve Hop Jack’s… Breakfast on the weekends is especially nice. Recently came for breakfast and were seating right away. Lucky enough to get a server we’ve had many times before. She is always pleasant and knows her stuff! Their Bloody Mary’s are ahhhhh-​mazing and come with lots of pickled goodness. The children’s menu is great. My kiddo quite happy with her choice and at most of it. I ordered the corned beef hash, which was in and of itself very good, but too many potatoes!!! The corned beef is already made with potatoes… why offer more? How about some avocado or some fruit!!! Other than the potato overload we were quite full and happy at the conclusion of our meal!
