The original owners are back and working hard to bring back the same quality and customer service that used to be synonymous with the name Howard’s Cleaners. I was a loyal customer before they sold the business several years ago and was hard pressed to find another Cleaner’s that has the same quality of work and customer service. I’m glad to see that they’re back! They have always done great work for me and if I’ve ever had a problem the owners have always done their best to make it right. Occasionally over the years, I’ve encountered cashiers that haven’t been the best in customer service, but the owners are great to deal with and put their customers first! If you haven’t been to Howard’s Cleaners in a while, I highly recommend you give them another try.

The small savings in cost don’t make up for the loss and damage to clothes. I have been using this Howard’s cleaner for about a year since I moved to Lacey. About two months ago they broke several buttons on one of my shirts and give it back to me with a note saying«your buttons are broken». The buttons had been clearly broken by a press iron. When I pointed this out, they acknowledged it and apologized, saying it would never happen again. Well it did, but worse. One of their machines shredded the collar on a $ 90 shirt, so they placed a tag on it and claimed it was there before. They cleaned the shirt and charged me for it, then hid it in the other 10 shirts I picked up. I asked them to remedy the situation, but the clerk simply shrugged, and asked, «what do you want me to do about it?» Clearly, customer service is not a priority and the slightly lower cost of cleaning is now lost in having to replace the shirt they destroyed.

Don’t ever take anything to there alterations department. I brought in a blouse that had elastic around the bottom. I wanted the seamstress to take out the elastic and put in a new hem. Easy enough you would think. The hem was a mess! It looked like the tension was screwed up on the machine. When I ask the seamstress about it she just said the material was hard to work with and walked away. It was a knit blouse. I should have never paid her for the sloppy work. Lesson learned. I will never go back there.

Had my wedding dress cleaned here– it was a mess– came out looking great at was close to what they estimated it would cost(estimated $ 100 and it cost $ 106) I would go back.

My bridesmaid dress had a few stains on the front so I decided to get it dry cleaned. I had items dry cleaned at Howard’s a few years ago and was satisfied with their service. I was disappointed to discover that only one stain had been removed and there were two NEW stains on my dress. I told the manager about the new stains and she rudely said they weren’t from Howard’s and walked away. I left feeling very dissatisfied and disrespected. I was also unimpressed with the disheveled look and feel of the facility and staff. Unfortunately, I do not recommend Howard’s Cleaners.
