First time we decided to come here and the food wasn’t too bad. We came at the busy time so maybe that’s why we didn’t feel as welcomed as their usual customers. Oh well maybe we’ll try them out later again.

For Olympia, this place is good. I’ve eaten here several times, and this time I had my standard tako sunomono salad, miso soup, and sake to kick things off. Then I had a variety of rolls and nigiri, and finished up with unagi. It was all tasty. Don;t get me wrong. this isn’t «Jiro Loves Sushi,» but for the Brewery City it’s pretty good.

The service is alright and the food is also just alright. When you pay for all you can eat you can only order one roll at a time, which is normal but they rarely come check on you so you’ll probably be done with the roll for 10 minutes before they come take your order for the next one then it’s another 5 minute wait from there. Also very expensive for the mediocre service, I definitely recommend trappers over this place.

First the food isn’t bad, the service is fine. The sushi is quite regular, but not bad. Nothing extravagant, and much better than Trapper Sushi or Sushi Train. The location is very unappealing outside, the restaurant needs a make up.

Ate here on a Friday afternoon with the family had the California Rolls, teriyaki, and the curry roll. Absolutely amazing! Everything was great food was awesome and not a long wait. Found out they now have sapporo on tap. Best sushi in Lacey/Olympia area.

Alright food. Average quality. Came home to find there were only 5 sushi pieces on my take out order. not worth the price.

Visiting from cali and wanted to try some WaSUSHIngton. Not many to choose from that was within 30 miles from Shelton so my choice was limited. To sum up my experience: the sushi was standard(C+/B-). Here are the reasons why: The fish was not fresh and the sushi: rice ratio was off(way too much rice). It would have been tolerable if the rice actually tasted like sushi rice; instead it was a little dry and hard. Good thing I skipped the all you can eat price for 29.99. I also had the seared garlic salmon salad. Salmon was gross but the rest of the salad was good enough. The good thing is that the restaurant is double Asiatic with combo Korean and Japanese. The beef bolgogi was decent. The bento box with teriyaki chicken was good. 2 stars for the sushi and 3 stars for the Korean selection.

It’s very good sushi, but if you do plan on eating two rolls to yourself you may as well spend the 30 $ on all you can eat. Other than that. Fantastic!

We love Koibito’s! Their selection of rolls is unbelievable! We get a variety every visit and always are surprised by the flavors and the quality! Staff? Amazing. We kept returning for our favorite waitress. She remembered us from visit 2 on… she knew what our youngest would want, knew our appetizers… now she greets us with hugs! I even took home our leftovers once and gave them to a sushi virgin and she wants to go back! Love the nearly complete cast of Finding Nemo tank. Kids love the fishes!

Earlier this evening I came unprepared to dine lol. My family and I went a little overboard ordering sushi rolls, but it was worth it because well,. it’s sushi(: I had the pork tonkatsu and for the rolls we ordered: Miss USA, California, Cucumber, Calamari Tempura, JBLM& Yelm rolls. My nephew loves the cucumber roll. Its the simplest one for him. I really enjoyed the Calamari Tempura. I honestly couldn’t tell which roll was which, but ALL were satisfying.

Sushi is not as good as Trappers. But the teriyaki is soooooo good and the prices are incredible! I love the environment! Always had great service!

Great service, wonderful bento and fun. A little spendy but you get what you pay for with huge, well prepared portions. I have not tried the sushi but the hot meals are fantastic and keep me coming back for more.

Service was great, teriyaki chicken n egg roll were awesome. Tender chicken, not dried of at all, full of flavor. Loved it! Girlfriend had sushi n it all looked really good. Place is clean n nice, bathroom was clean. We will be back again.

The lady running this restaurant is so incredibly kind and the food is «dank as fuck» to quote my friend. I would definitely hit up this teriyaki place again!(And the chopsticks aren’t too splintery) I would recommend the teriyaki chicken, Gyoza, and egg rolls!!! Again, such a positive experience! Felt like visiting my grandma.

We needed to eat while doing a road trip along I-5 and found this place. Got the dinner bentos and was really impressed with the pork tonkatsu, teriyaki chicken and tempura. Super nice waitress also brought the kids cooled down bowls of miso and modified chop sticks, she was very sweet. Our kids are very picky eaters and loved it all — as did we. Would go back again!

I have dined in the restaurant and placed an order to go. Both times were great experiences. The service was friendly and quick on both occasions. The pricing is very reasonable for the high quality of the sushi. Some of the roll options are similar to offerings I’ve seen at other sushi restaurants, but they offer some that are unique as well. Every roll I’ve had there was delicious and fresh. The T.N.T. roll is indeed spicy, but with great flavor as well. The Hawaiian Poki roll lived up to how much my friend hyped it up. I can see why she loves it so much. We ordered avocado rolls and teriyaki chicken for a friend that can’t eat raw fish right now. I thought those items were great as well. The location is conveniently located near the Fred Meyer and has ample parking.

I had stepped into a Japanese dance club that also doubles as a Dennys. Listen here– if u you can’t get the rice right then give up. You have no business serving sushi. Here’s an idea, let’s make the rolls so obnoxiously big that andre the giant wouldn’t be able to take a bite. And while I know the tables with no one at them need their filled soy sauces, the customers just might need some service. Waitress seemed suprised and even scared if we asked for anything. So shocking we don’t want to sit here with stacked plates while we try and guzzle our beers down so we can get out of here and escape the threat to our sanity which was the teen themed Japanese pop hits of 2003. The food? I had to throw a life jacket at the crazy spicy roll because it was drowning in its own sauce. Big mistake.

The first time I ate here I really didn’t know what to order, being from Hawaii, I have very high standards and expectations. I really don’t remember what I ordered the first time and don’t really think it was great because I didn’t care for it. Towards the ending of the my first experience I discovered other sushi rolls I felt I would have enjoyed! So I decided to Unilocal!before I came here the next time. This review is definitely for the my second experience from Koibito. I made a phone order prior to opening and they happily took my order and had it ready at the time they said it would. I ordered the Yelm roll and the DuPont roll. BOTH are VERYDELICIOUS! :) I had done plenty of research on the weekend trying to remember what it was that I wanted to try, reading the menu and looking at the reviews I remembered that these two rolls were definitely the ones I wanted to try. The descriptions on the menu and the pictures TRULY did the sushi rolls JUSTICE! I was very pleased and almost finished both rolls on the spot! I got full and decided to save it for later, and even later the sushi was still amazing ;) This is the only sushi place I have found to be up to my standard and I will definitely be coming back for more! The next few times that I came here, I tried something different plus my usual Yelm Roll. The Sunshine Roll, JBLM Roll, & Lilly Roll are DISGUSTING. Spicy ahi here looks and tastes like spicy shit! I tried piece of the Lilly Roll and almost threw up; I had to spit it out! Yelm Toll barely impressed me… Not coming back anymore.

This is a three star restaurant. The service is inconsistent and jumps from adequate to nonexistent. The dining room has an interesting décor. I enjoyed it for the most part. Some Asian restaurants have no decorations, so this was a nice change. We ordered two egg rolls and a coconut shrimp tempura roll. Soon after ordering, they brought out a couple of bowls of miso soup, minus the spoons. We had to drink the soup directly out of the bowls. Our food arrived all at once, which was fine. What wasn’t fine was the egg rolls. They were sliced length wise — which was stupid — and they tasted like the same frozen crap you can buy at the grocery story. I swear, these are the same nasty egg rolls that Japanese restaurants have been serving for over 30 years. They are absolutely disgusting. I took two bites and left the rest on the plate. The sushi on the other hand was pretty good, but we didn’t receive any chopsticks and were forced to eat them with our hands. After we finished, nobody returned with our check. We were forced to walk up to the register and pay for ourselves. I can’t recommend Koibito to anyone due to the terrible service and average food. There are probably some better sushi restaurants out there, anyway.

Worst place for bi bim bab and service! not Korean style or Japanese style … and they still charge you whether you ate them or not. That Korean lady from the restaurant was telling me that was the Korean style untill I started speaking Korean to her… not the place you want to go if you want to enjoy nice meal

I’m back! I work right next door to this place so my office visits this place a lot. I love their sweet & sour chicken, chicken katsu, sushi, udon, tempura… etc! Everyone that works here is very friendly.
