Target

I love this Target. I shop here more than I care to admit. Yes, their dressing rooms tend to be messy, but they always have well stocked shelves and super friendly associates. Case in point… Today. The wind was blowing something fierce today and while there the power went out. Yikes! There was no rioting or looting. All remained civil… Upon reaching checkout, some twenty minutes after said power outage, and four items were scanned… The power went out again. And so we waited in line. For about thirty minutes. What amazed me was that nobody abandoned their carts… People waited. And while they waited they laughed and smiled and joked and talked to each other. And I think that is in part due to the manager, who profusely apologized and walked around with Starbucks or popcorn… Or due to the associates who actually engaged the customers!
Kudos to an awesome crew!

Retailing 101 for Target employees:
1. If your Sunday advertising circular lists something for sale it is a good idea to make sure the product is available on the sales floor to purchase. The idea is that people might come in to buy it and won’t if they can’t find the advertised item.
I had actually purchased my last gas grill on sale at Target about 10 years ago. Since it was getting old I did not bring it along when moving from MN. I saw the unit in the Sunday advert and wanted to check it out to see how sturdy the thing was. After circling through the outdoor section and finding an area with a few grills I was not able to find the sale model. An employee coming out of the stock area asked if I needed help finding anything and I asked about the grill. He called another employee to get a copy of the advert to see which model it was and went back to the stock room to check on it. He came back out and said they had two back there but there was not a demo model. He said they should have one of them assembled by tomorrow if I wanted to return to see it.
This is the third day of the Sunday through Saturday sale and they don’t have the merchandise on the floor and NO demo unit to look at to see if you might actually want to purchase it.
While the employee who helped me did a nice job of helping me out I have to wonder who in management of this store has no understanding of the fundamentals of merchandising and having sale merchandise available for purchase.
Considering that one of the reasons I was in this store was to see this grill I don’t think I will be rushing back to this Target anytime soon.

Did somebody say price-​match !
Oh boy I heard places that do price match but they always have a nonsense fine print to justify why not, but not at this location, this sale is a bit old but worth sharing, I got me s PS4 with 2 games and a camera ! For 399 oh and did I forget to say that target had em for 15% off from their awesome cartwheel app, plus the 5%off redcard and wait there is more it came with a $ 20.00 gift card, the 2 extra games and ceta where the Amazon deal, and yes it was sold by Amazon so a $ 600.00 value for $ 320.00 after the 20% off not too shabby if you ask me. Oh and to my surprise there was a $ 10.00 ps card inside of the ps4!

Well put together and great store to get a few items for my car detailing. Busy but lines at registers were fast. Great selection of many household needs.

First off, I need to let you know that I really dislike major chain stores. They are so cold, impersonal, and they suck the money out of a community. It is MUCH better to support local business. I find that although things here are cheap, they are also very cheap — as in shoddy. They will fall apart and break and generally you have to buy three of an item here to last as long as a more expensive well made item elsewhere — so in the long run you end up paying more at Target than if you just bought a well made item! That said, I recognize that it is hard to do when in the day to day grind you have to get by. Target also has many things to temp you to buy that you DO NOT need, so it also sucks your money that way. I wouldn’t doubt that they, like every other major chain, pay millions of dollars to professionals that figure out how to best tempt you out of your money!

On 9÷16÷14 I stopped by the Lacey Target to pick up a few items. Everything was fine until I checked out. A pregnant cashier named Dominique «helped» me. She did not utter ONE word. No hello, goodbye, that will be 20.94, NOTHING! Usually the cashiers are very friendly. I shop at Target 2 – 3 times per week and I will now go to the Olympia Mall location for better customer service.

Your normal Target store, the prices are hit and miss if there a good value or not.
The service here other then the checkout area, hard to find employees if you need help with something, but they do have «phones» where you pick them up if you need help, so that tells me they decided that was a cheaper rout to go.
I generally dont use the food court here as its generally higher then what you buy elsewhere, and the quality is Meh, so so.
If your in the Olympia area good place to go.

The «nice» Target. Much nicer than the one in Olympia.
My 5-​stars here come mostly for the pharmacy. Rebecca the pharmacist is almost beloved to me. She is the nicest, most understanding, proactive, good-​at-​her job pharmacist that I have ever encountered. She always calls if there is a problem with a phoned-​in prescription, or basically if anything out of the ordinary happens, like they run out of stock and can’t fill something for an extra day or two. She goes above and beyond her customer service duties.
The store itself is clean and well-​organized. It’s everything you would expect from a «good» Target.

I’ve been getting a lot of mileage out of Target lately. The store is clean and staff is trying so hard to be friendly.
First, the photo studio has become our studio of choice over Sears or JC Penney. Decent results for a low price.
Second, I got a store debit card which gives me 5% discount off every purchase.
Last, coupons. Look for and bring coupons, ESP photo coupons. Look online or in the Sunday paper.

I have a love hate relationship with target. Love their products and their prices are okay. Sometimes customer service Is great sometimes it is poor. What really gives them three stars rather than 4 or 5 is you have to watch their cashiers very closely! Three times have they tried to take my gift card instead of giving it back after there was left overs! Be careful with your gift cards! Also, sometimes their registers don’t give the price marked but the origional, watch them ring up!

Poor customer service in the «photo center» employees were unfamiliar with equipment and drop off service or one hour photo is unavailable. Do, not go here for photos. The rest of the store was mediocre.

CLOTHING
I like the Slater Kinney Target. It has a better selection of children’s, women’s, and men’s clothing than the Harrison Ave Target. The layout is much better too. I need a good selection of children’s clothing because my oldest child is picky when it comes to clothes. She wants me to buy matching outfits for both her and her brother. The SAME t-​shirts and the SAME or similar pants. She is 5 years old and he is 8 months old. This isn’t an easy task, but Slater Kinney Target makes it easier by having a great range of t-​shirt sizes in gender neutral styles.
The selection of pajamas is much better too. I love the pants and buttoned shirt style pajamas. There are easily 6 different styles to choose from VS the 1 style you are stuck with or the frumpy t-​shirt style nightgowns available at the other Target. It is also a good source for men’s pajama pants and inexpensive good quality boxer briefs.
WOODLAND THEMED KID’S ROOM
Owls are my daughter’s favorite animal. I bought owl comforters for both a twin bed and a toddler bed, owl sheets, owl pillows, owl pajamas, owl slippers, an owl lamp, an owl nightlight, an owl hat, and an owl towel set here. She had me pick out an owl/​woodland themed crib set for her brother and a woodland themed diaper bag. Target also has owl children’s cups and plates. The collection has been slowly growing over a 3 year period and is luckily contained in the bedroom. Target is my go-​to place for inexpensive owl themed things.

Very clean Target, friendly workers, and of course all of the stuff you can purchase here. Will be coming back here more often.

Target is a decent big-​box store that offers a favorable atmosphere for shopping and competitive prices. This particular Target is the one closest to our home so we come here often. They have a good selection of products and friendly staff. I’ve never had a bad experience here and will return often.

This is the Target I shop most frequently. The layout is convenient and there is a good amount of parking. I like how the Guest Services area is in the front left of the store, right next to the entrance. Some locations have the Guest Services across from the cash registers, which requires the customer to walk through a busy part of the store. This setup is much more convenient. This store has a nice selection of grocery items, including produce, dairy, and frozen foods. The prices are reasonable, although some of the produce items are a little higher than some of the local competitors. It’s always a good idea to compare prices to be sure you’re getting the best deal.
One of the things I don’t like about any Target location is that they don’t offer self-​checkout. Whenever possible, I prefer to use self-​checkout. It allows me to checkout at my own pace, keeping an eye on the prices to make sure they scan correctly, plus I like to bag my own groceries. I don’t recall ever seeing a Target that offers self-​checkout, but I hope they’ll consider adding it in the future. There are usually not enough checkout lanes open, so this can result in an unnecessary wait. I’m a big fan of using recyclable bags, so I like the fact that Target give a $ 0.05 bag credit for each recyclable bag used. Sometimes the cashiers forget or aren’t aware of the credit, so be sure to mention it when using your own bags.
I would definitely rank this as one of the better Target locations in the area. It’s clean, well-​maintained, and has a good shopping environment.

Target’s a great store. Very competitive pricing. Decent selections. Not sure why they added the quasi grocery store selection. Won’t be buying my produce or dairy products there, but snacks for the movies… now that’s a different story.

I love Target. I think half my paycheck goes to Target. I don’t really like the redesigned store because I end up putting dog food on top of everything else I picked up. I do like the extended food section though. Customer service is generally decent. Maybe I’m getting old, but I don’t appreciate hearing whatever music the folks in the back room are listening too. It seems pretty unprofessional to me or maybe I just expect more!

I remember when this target opened up.
Even when some friends worked there. I applied and never got a job. damn that sucked.

As well managed as the other Target in Thurston County and deserving of a similar review from me. In other words…
Come on, it’s Target! Low-​end prices for decent-​quality merchandise. Clearance tags that are occasionally near larcenous.
How do they stay in business while selling so cheaply? They try not to overstock (e.g. seasonal items) and you might have to rely on yourself to shop.
You know they’re doing something right when their own detractors still go there! Easily one of my favorite retailers.
