Went to Friendly’s last week to have a $ 5.00 cheeseburger that they have on sale right now. We went inside and they told us it would be about ten minutes so we sat and waited. Several others followed us in and were told it would be 15 minutes then 20 minutes. After 20 minutes of waiting we had noticed that no one had left the restaurant. You could see the service was awful because the same people were waiting for their food. There was also this terrible noise from some kind if a fan that was so loud it was unbelievable. We left and most of the other people did too. They need to do something about this pretty soon or they are going to go out of business

Absolutely horrible. Worst food I’ve ever eaten in my life. Came in here on Saturday, July 11th at 3:30. Ordered my meal — a turkey supermelt. 3 minutes later, the waiter comes back and asked me whether I ordered the supermelt or BLT. I said supermelt. The meal comes later and naturally it was the BLT. Don’t the employees pay attention? How hard is it to bring someone the food they ordered. I told the waiter that there was supposed to be cheese on it and he said it doesn’t come with it. UHYESITDOESOR I WOULDNTHAVEEVENORDEREDIT. To top it off the food was cold too. Never again. Thanks for a terrible dinner.

This WAS a great restaurant in the early 2000’s. It’s beyond me what sullied this great chain and restaurant. Don’t bother coming unless you want white meat, it seems beef doesn’t exist(except terrible burgers). The menu has a terrible amount of selections and they also have very little variation. Furthermore, the food is rather bland. Want better food? Go down the hill and past Walmart to Lakeside. The waitstaff is terrible and the timing for your dreadful meals is insanity, especially on a dead night. 20 minutes on a dead night? Those cooks must be happy with their jobs. Anyways, my one last complaint I have is their treatment of loyal customers. This is a family restaurant. After every football game, the Laconia High School Band comes to Friendly’s to celebrate a great night. They usually bring in a minimum of 30 people. This has been an occurance for over a decade, almost two. While faces change and so do the stories, they choose to make this their home because it’s a great place for High School eaters. Recently, they treated these customers(who tip over $ 100 a night) very poorly and told them they were an annoyance to shutting down before they even got their meals. I realize these people are High Schoolers, but your customer is king within reason. Also, avoid their bland and extremely overpriced icecream. Try not to order a sundae either, they often don’t carry bananas. Unilocal… please allow us to rate 0 stars, this restaurant aspires to reach up to that amount.

I am so disappointed with this place the wait time was around 20 minutes then another couple walks in and they seat them right away I am still sitting there and we finally get seated the waitress and manager were very rude and we had to wait an exaggerated amount of time for our food all in all I would say it was a rather inadecaquite place to go

Recently visited Friendly’s because the commercial brought back memories of my childhood. The menu had many of the regular Friendly’s offerings. The waitress, Trisha, was so nice. She made the whole experience enjoyable(not something that happens very often in a busy family style place). We’ll definitely go again, and ask to sit in her area.

I’m so disappointed with this place, for they used to be a good spot to go grab lunch. Recently after hearing bad things about them, but having a coupon for 20% our meals, I gave them the benefit of doubt. The service was as good as could be! Our waitress was super nice and polite. The inside was awkwardly seated and pretty dirty considering how dead it looked. Out of all the empty seats, they seated us beside the only other 3 tables that were occupied, instead of spreading us out, so even though there was hardly any people in the joint we had to talk loudly over each other for sitting so close. On top of unwrapping my utensils and seeing water marks and food remnants on them… The food was REALLY bad, I got onions rings as a side for $ 4.99 and they came out on a plate with only 5 or 6 rings on it. Tasted them and they were rock-hard and cold. Then she brings out my salad, that was completely tasteless and had lettuce that looked similar to a past-expired bag in a grocery store produce section. My lemonade I got tasted very water down and I could not even finish it. It really is a shame how down hill they went and how I had to write about my awful experience.

If you know friendly’s, then you know… This one is no better, no worse… The building is getting a bit old and run down though. It’s pretty drab in the interior. They could definitely benefit from making a run to pottery barn… but then again, it’s friendly’s! Just an average experience, but if you’re into dessert and sundaes and things… Friendly’s is the place to go!
