No complaints here. Was looking for a fast lunch, but not fast food. I got the small roast beef, but small it wasn’t. The roast beef was thin and lean and piled high. Came with a pickle and chips. The staff was friendly and service was quick. Prices were reasonable. Would highly recommend and would go back if ever in the area again.

Friendly staff are their today after going to bike week. We got roast beef sandwich with mayo and creamy horseradish sauce. Sauce was good but could be more on the sandwich. They don’t serve fries but they have a selection of cold salads and chips to chose from. They were very friendly they were closing at 3 and they allowed us to stay inside and finish our meals.

Best sandwiches in this area, not to miss if you are visiting the lake region. Try the7th Avenue and the pulled pork is to diw for, not to sweet not to spicy.

Average — not bad, but not a place you’d get a craving for. I read some other reviews that pointed out their food seems store bought, I agree neither the roast beef nor the sauce is anything special. Friend got a pastrami, decent but way to much mustard, like dripping.
Prices are kind of high for what you get. All in all, it will do for a sandwich, but don’t envision a roast beef sandwich, based on local Laconia lore, like you’d get at Kelly’s outside Boston, you’ll be very disappointed.

We had an event at a local hotel and ordered 54 assorted sandwiches from this great place! They did a perfect job, especially with all the dietary accommodations we had! We’ll definitely be back Jon!

Thank you Unilocal! I just had the best roast beef sandwich ever! It was amazing, had the roast beef on a whole wheat roll toasted with American and joes BBQ sauce. It was the perfect sandwich. I highly recommend this place. I wish I lived closer. What a find. The staff was great and very courteous. Will be back next time I am in Laconia!

Went here today and got the «7^th Avenue» (hot pastrami sandwich w/Swiss and mustard). It was absolutely delicious! Thought the potato salad was good as well. Staff was very friendly and service quick, probably waited about 5 – 6 minutes for our sandwiches. Definitely would go back and would recommend!

This place does it right !
Each time we’ve been in, our sandwiches have far exceeded our expectations.
Our favorite is the Pilgrim w/gravy on the side. Just a truly satisfying sandwich !!!
But it’s not just the food that’s delicious… you can tell the people who work there take pride in the place. They’re always genuinely friendly, and that makes a difference to me (and i’m sure others too).
We’ll keep coming back !

I brought cousins from NY who were here for a visit. I had heard good things about Jon’s and this was the perfect opportunity to try them out. Eight roast beef subs later, and no two were the same, we went on our way. All were impressed. Now, I did try to mind my own business, but I happened to see a young woman walk in and approach the manager. She handed him some money and thanked him. She was in the day before and, after receiving her food, realized she didn’t have enough money to pay for it. They told her to bring in what she owed when she could. Wow, great food, customer service that we normally would only wish for.

Love this place; have been coming here for years ! I usually do takeout once a week here as it is affordable and delicious ! I have been coming here so long that I have two favorites one for the summer (governors island) white meat chicken salad sandwich; and a winter meal (famous roast beef with creamy horseradish and melted american cheese) the owner and a few others are usually working and know just about every customer by name /super clean and super friendly if I could give this place 100 stars I would :-) I have been going to Jons forever and NEVER not ONCE have they screwed my order up or been unfriendly
Another local business with a great family atmosphere :-) Love these guys and girls that work here they even know my voice on the phone so you know I am a regular :-)

We arrived in Laconia famished with time to kill before checking in. Decided to check Jons Roast Beef out based on previous reviews. Did not disappoint!!! The most delicious, tender roast beef sandwich I have ever had! Ordered the house special with roast beef, creamy horseradish sauce, melted provolone and BBQ sauce on an onion roll. AWESOME! Will definitely stop back!

So many delicious options! Was happy to see they made gluten free accommodations as well. Servings are the perfect size with a bag of chips and pickle included. Many other deli and salad options as well, I loved their deviled eggs! Friendly staff, nice atmosphere and ample parking as well.

**Great spot for a munch after running yourself out at Gunstock**
Just had the best roast beef here. Hand down delectable. Went with the hose favorite large roast beef and provolone sub smothered in creamy horseradish and BBQ sauce, 4 thumbs up. Genuinely friendly, caring service from owner and servers. Owner’s proud and rightly so. Thanks Jon :)

I had the roast beef with bbq sauce on a onion roll and I have to say it was geat! I’m from Beverly and the flavor compares with the top roast beef spots in the Northshore. My wife had the homemade chili. The spice and flavor was right on. She loved it.
We both enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere. Jon and his son were super friendly and the sevice was top notch.
We are definitely making this a regular stop when we visit the Meredith/Laconia area!

I went here yesterday, and enjoyed literally the best roast beef sandwich I’ve ever had. Fast and friendly service, very reasonable prices, and ridiculously good roast beef.
I had «Jon’s Famous Roast Beef» on a bulkie with cheddar, homemade BBQ sauce, and tomatoes, and it was amazing. Their house barbecue sauce is fantastic and I’d definitely recommend it.
My wife got a roast beef on an onion bulkie, with creamy horseradish, tomatoes, and swiss cheese… and her sandwich was even better than mine. The horseradish was not overpowering, and the beef was sliced thin, cooked rare, and incredibly flavorful. I can safely say that it was the best roast beef sandwich I’ve ever had. It might be the best sandwich I’ve ever had, period.
I don’t make it to Laconia very often, but I will be making a visit to Jon’s every time I’m in the area. The only bad thing about this restaurant is that it’s 2 hours from where I live.

Amazing sandwiches. Loved the house roast beef (BBQ sauce, horseradish, and provolone). Actually better as a small sandwich (the bulky roll is a better ratio of bread to meat). Great small bag of chips and a pickle.
Honestly, once you’ve had Jon’s, the local sub chains are hard to choose. Of course, Jon’s has limited hours, but I’ll always come here when I can.
Other great sandwiches I’ve tried and can recommend: Mt. Washington and the grilled cheese. Favorite drink here: Orangina.
