I love this store. We’ve found some great things. Today we went in looking for a couch. We found one right away but it had unfortunately sold yesterday. I was really disappointed but the sweet woman working there took my info for future couches. I’m sure this is where we will find what we are looking for. Also, going into these stores with 2 boys under 3 is very challenging and I’ve felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome in many other stores. Not here. We were treated so nicely and felt very welcome. Can’t wait to see what couch we come across soon!

I walked in a few weeks ago in search of a clock– as I walked by I noticed a much older lady whom was preoccupied on her phone– mid way into the store I looked back and saw this distracted woman approach a male at the door whom had a Shirt that said«Imagine This Staged». I figure at the point that she and he were customer– as I began to look for someone to assists me I noticed that the lady I had seen was arguing in the front of the store was an employee. I asked her if she could help me OR get someone to do so– she rudely said«hold on» and continued her argument with this man… He was yelling at her and she was yelling at him,(quote) «I waited for you last night!» She tells him, he in response said(quote) «you’re a w***e and I will never commit to you, Danielle– stop calling my phone and parking outside my home!» And«you need to be on medication, I will never commit to you!» I was astonished at the amount of garbage I was witnessing… If I heard correctly this man was married and the worker was his mistress– this made me very disgusted. The lady made her way back and said«what did you need» I said«nothing, get your life together» and I walked out. She was SO rude and I will never return again. This lever of classlessness should be fired. I called back a day or two later to speak with the owner– I left my number but my call was never returned. Goes to show–«birds of a feather flock together?» I’m gonna make sure anyone I know never DONATEs to this store. If you think about it, a portion of the money being made with these high ticket price items is going to this mistresses pocket. Donations are much better given someplace else.

I love this place. Bought a 8−9K couch for only $ 1450. SUCH a deal! I also picked up four dining room chairs for only $ 40 each. They were originally a set of six and the owner was kind enough to break up the set. Best of all, delivery was only $ 40.00. I will definitely stop in as often as I get a chance!

I have never felt so awkward shopping in a store as i did here. From the minute we walked in the older lady that owned the store followed us around, etc. Now I don’t mean like watching from a far but three feet in front of us blocking the aisle. Now we are home owners, drive nice cars, four kids, etc. We are the customers that you want but to treat us this badly… there is a lot of work to do at this store to make it what we expect here in Ladera.

The first thing you see when you walk in this store is a sign that says: «You Break It, You Buy It.» As you wander to the midpoint of the store, you see another sign that says, «$ 5 per day charge to hold items after 3 days.» Nothing like your first impression being a Warning sign, and then being further reminded of your financial obligations. Excellent way to show customers what your priorities are. This sign and this store do nothing to create a warm, inviting and walkable space in which a shopper can peruse items and actually become a customer. The owner may wish to read several good books on customer service(and spacial layout). PS — The only nice employee we have encountered here is the teenage/college aged(?) boy who is responsible for bringing the outside furniture into the store at closing time. He was the onlyl one who took the time to say Hello and to smile. No one else could be bothered. Ladera Ranch: You expected different?

This store is a gem!!! I’ve gotten many deals there already, and just discovered the store a few months ago! A few times I’ve been heading there, and then to Home Goods, only to find that I’m satisfied enough by what I buy at the consignment store that there’s no need to go to Home Goods! I also prefer to buy older and gently used items to new. it’s more«green», and just makes sense that we all use things and then pass them on when we’re done with them. I shop several other consignment stores in south O.C., and this Ladera one is by far the best one! Their prices are MUCH lower than those other stores, and there’s a more friendly and inviting atmosphere too. I’ve found some big items there, like golf prints for my husbands office that were sooo much cheaper than would be anywhere else, and I’ve also found some small knick-knacks at prices as low as $ 5 !!! On a few items, I think their prices were comparable to those at GoodWill, with much more to chose from and much better quality! Their inventory changes each week, so I find myself wanting to stop in each week so I don’t miss a good find, that’s also a bargain. I HIGHLY recommend this store!!! :)

Last Thursday(9÷19÷13) I popped into HomeGoods in Ladera Ranch which is two parking rows over from this new Consignment store. As I entered HomeGoods I saw two great Cynthia Rowley chairs priced at $ 149 each. I took out my cell and snapped a pic to send my friend who I thought might like them(no where to post the pic here with the HG price tag!). Fast Forward to Monday(9÷23÷13). My mom and I are out shopping and she wants to pop in to HomeGoods and this Consignment store. As soon as we walked into this Consignment Store I see the two chairs right inside the entry priced at $ 199 each! I laughed, pointed and said«those are the chairs I sent the pics of to ‘so & so’! But they were $ 149 each. They must have bought them and marked them each up $ 50!»! I’m posting because it is my understanding that Consignment stores carry ‘gently used’ items for re-sale(I don’t think I’m alone in thinking this). I didn’t realize they bought NEW items and then RAISED the price… that’s not Consignment, it’s Retail! Regardless, because of my experience here, I won’t shop this store again. I’ll never feel I’m getting a deal after witnessing this. When I hit a Consignment store, I looking for a deal! Not looking to pay MORE than Retail price :(Isn’t this just bad Karma?!
