This is an okay grocery store. The store is clean and the selection is good. The produce is better than your average Wal-Mart produce. I find the employees to be mostly rude. Several employees were blocking aisles and did not bother to move so I could get everything I needed. I wouldn’t mind one or two, but four? Why do four employees need to be stocking in the middle of the day? Only one register was open, making wait times long. The store is good, but the management needs some work.

I know what you’re probably thinking…“You are giving Walmart a 4??”. I know, I know but this is a Neighborhood Market and it’s so much better than the Supercenters. I was really excited when this store opened because I actually worked at one in Texas 14 years ago. As you can imagine, I have very high expectations and have, thus far, been impressed with all the employees who greet me. I would say 90% of the people I pass say, at the very least, «Hello!». The store has only been open a few months but they’ve done a great job of keeping the store stocked and clean. They also haven’t run out of regular size bags like the other new one so they get mad props for that!

Don’t be fooled: Its still Wal-Mart. God help us all if this is going to be the cause of such stalwarts as Mr. K’s Piggly Wiggly to close down. Sad.

I must say, I am not a fan of WalMart at all. I passed this place going to a movie the other day and something about it caught my eye. I made a trip in after the movie and boy was it worth it! It might just be because it is so new, but the place was immaculate. All of the staff were so friendly, there were plenty of buggies, the items were in the right spots on the shelves… I had no complaints! It had a nice Harris Teeter or Publix kind of feel to it(I can’t really explain it…) Im interested in seeing what happens over time, but if I have to get to a WalMart, this will be the one.

First, I’m very excited to have a 24 hour grocery location super close to home. But its really just a stripped down walmart(grocery, beverages paper products, minimal greeting cards and health/beauty). Most of the prices are very low but the quality of produce is mostly disappointing — even for the price. Still there are a number of specialty items that are not as easy to find at other stores in the area. Particularly I was excited to find frozen ahi steaks and impressed by the large«Hispanic foods» aisle and rice varieties available. Unsurprisingly there was a disappointing asian foods section but it has basic staples of sauces and insta-noodle meals. Overall the store is clean and parking is convenient. There’s a large beer and wine selection which is exciting considering this location is always open. There’s also a gas station that has been meeting or beating local area prices consistently.
