A pleasant surprise. Very nice spot. Very clean and either recently built or remodeled. Friendly service. Super comfortable bed, fantastic shower. So why 4 stars and not 5? Noise. I could easily hear the person above me walking, plus there was lots of noise from the lobby. I realize this was due to bad luck(we asked if there was a room further down the hallway, but nothing was available), but they did design a hotel where a room is adjacent to the lobby where breakfast is served.

I travel quite a bit for business(3−4x/mo) and my initial impression was disappointment. The 2nd floor hallway and room smelled like cigarettes. Breakfast was meh. The surrounding area is run down and didn’t offer much in the way of entertainment. I should point out that the staff was nice, which bumped the overall score to a 2.

Every once in a while this happens, you book your hotel with an online company( ) and after driving 12 hours to reach your destination they tell you that you don’t have a reservation. Not only did I get the ‘oh well too bad’ but not even to offer me a different room with a king bed instead of 2 queens. Just got the I don’t care attitude, so here is my I don’t care about your hotel rating!

My husband, 1 year old son and I stayed here last week. I wouldn’t stay again. The front desk was often vacant and took major searching to find anyone to help… like the time our keys stopped working. The breakfast gave us upset stomach. The room smelled musty and was hot. There was mold in the tub jets and shower. We found several roaches in the bathroom. The pool had a broken rail and ladder and was slimy on the bottom. Pluses were the fridge & microwave in the room, comfy bed and centrally located. Needless to say, the cons outweigh the pros

The entire second floor reeks of cigarette!!! Some how we got stuck in a cigarette hot box for a room!!! It was horrible because I’m traveling with my kids.

Great service. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. We were very happy with our stay here! Good value. Breakfast had eggs, ham, biscuits, gravy, fruit, cereal, waffles… Rooms had nice beds, clean, comfortable, with a desk for a place to sit. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Don’t be fooled by Best Western’s system for designating the level of their various inns — BW, BWPLUS, and BWPREMIUM. This place was definitely better than the BWPLUS we stayed at the night before over in Texas — and cost $ 60 less. Great value. More pillows(and bigger), nicer bathroom and more water from the shower, better sheets on bed, more selections at breakfast, etc. We’ll be coming back next time through. Oh yeah, and the staff was definitely friendlier than most motels.

So upon arival. Mehel was great and super friendly. We got to our room everything is clean. Room 128 was a little small with all of our luggage it was a little compact. Our room smelled like fresh paint and the channels were weird. The rooms were quite and I sleep great on the beds. Defiantly reccomend this place. If your not from Lafayette the hotel is located on the outskirts in a quite area.

This had potential but it just fell short. The good: it was quiet and fairly clean. Items of concern were: — The TV channels didn’t work below channel 23 so you couldn’t get the basics like ABC, NBC, or CBS. — The showerhead didn’t work properly. — The toilet didn’t flush well. — The air conditioner smelled musty. — The carpeting looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in a while — particularly around the walls and behind the door. — Dust could be found in places — generally in areas that you wouldn’t dust if you thought you didn’t have to. — The ice bucket was dirty — inside and out. — Trash was on the floor from a prior occupant. — Breakfast — the OJ tasted watered down and the hard-boiled egg had the texture of hard rubber and tasted like vinegar. The moment that made this a «won’t go back» for us was when the desk clerk asked how our stay was. I mentioned our concerns and was told that I just didn’t adjust the shower head properly(I am far too short to reach it) and then gave me a 10 minute lecture on how difficult it was to get good housekeeping staff. We definitely will not be going back to this one.
