Ramada Lafayette Conference Center

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! This is not a 3 Star Hotel. I booked from 4 states away and only went off the rating for the hotels in the area.
The room is very musty and smells terrible. There were bugs and gnats everywhere the first night and we were both itching everywhere. My fiancé even developed a rash while laying in the bed. The pillows are not even a full size pillow.
The second day/​night we get back to the hotel, and the hotel cleaning staff didn’t even touch the room!
The room itself is small, uncomfortable, unclean, and worse than a room at a cheap Motel 6. I have never been in a place, let alone a hotel to make you feel so itchy and dirty as soon as you walk in.
The hotel Itself has a chain link fence around it with razor wire on top like you would find at a prison. This entire experience has not be great. I wish I could get my money back but I booked on Priceline.
I will attach a few pictures of some of the items that are easy to see in the pictures but the overall filth is hard to see in the pictures.
In the pictures are dirty furniture, nasty shower head, horrible falling apart ceilings, and even the lights are horrible. This place should be shut down!

July 4^th-​2015-​Checked in. Lobby was VERY NOSY due to the activity in pool area. No elevators, so we were able to move to the inside 1^st floor. BIG BIG MISTAKE! We wanted to cancel and move to another place, but because I booked threw ORBITZ, no refund and nothing could be done! Given bracelets to use the pool! HAHAHA! Pool was filled way over the limit and by NON QUEST! We were told the noise would stop after 10 pm. NOT! Wakening by noise twice and after 12:20 and getting out of bed to ask the front desk clerk to do something about it or we will get the local policeman sitting outside in his car to come in and control the crowd. Security seemed to not have done anything by this time! Finally it all got quiet! July 5^th-​2015, From 3 till 10pm same thing continued! We witnessed car loads of people coming in from the back, using the door to get to the pool. Same MANAGER ON CALL, so we knew it was useless! We were confined to our room both days and other people checked in Sunday and witnessed all this also! Of course we gave back our so call green bracelet and told the manager that it was useless because NOT ONE in that pool had one! She did not do anything about this! She as a MANAGER allowed all this to happen! Monday 6^th-​2015, We were so stressed out from what went down, we checked out 2 days early and lost $ 200.00! As we were heading out to the lobby we saw the REAL MANAGER, and told him what went down on the weekend. All he could say was HE WAS SORROW and wanted to give us an extra night FREE! We looked at him and said, HELL NO WE ARE OUT OF HERE AND NEVER COMING TO THIS HOTEL! Only thing that was somewhat courteous was we were given complimentary breakfast for the 4 days in which we used only 2! Service was as good as you could get considering what we had gone threw! NO WAY WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! NEED TO SHUT IT DOWN!

I stayed here ages ago when it was the Holiday Inn and it was fairly dismal. Ramada has done a great job of cleaning the place up and updating the premises. Everyone on the staff made me feel welcome and the facilities were spotless. I was very impressed with my spacious suite and the good wi-​fi signals throughout the facility.

Comfortable room. Had nice TV, clean microwave, and mini fridge. Outdoor activities were nice and game room is neat.

This is not a 3 star hotel, so save your money. The room has a very musty smell, dirty toilet, small room, dirty hallways and outdated furniture. At it’s best, a motel 6. I think the motel 8 next door is better, at least it has bigger rooms. I don’t understand how it got it’s 3 star review on Unilocal,maybe there are updated room, not the one I stayed in.

From the minute you step in the lobby friendly and helpful staff greeted me. This location is convenient and well managed. Great amenities on the property and very secure. For the money it was the best quality and value.

We have been here for an hour and I don’t even know where to start. The room is old and dingy, dark and musty. That’s not the worst part. A large group of children have gathered RIGHT outside our door to play and according to the front deck are allowed to do so until 11pm. All I ask for in this kind of hotel is a clean quiet room. Tonight I do not get to enjoy either. Do not stay here!!!

Obviously under new management. This location was and still used mainly by Oilfield Workers. I noticed a major difference in cleanliness and repairs. Way to go Ramada!
