Jill has been doing my hair for quite awhile now and I can’t imagine anyone else doing it. I always receive great results. Jill listens to what I want and will caution me if something doesn’t seem right for me (be it color or cut), but she will give me what I want. I usually then come in the next time and say «Jill’s Choice» as she was right. After she does my hair, the compliments seem to come out of the woodwork. I trust her completely and I always feel fabulous after every visit. The salon is intimate (Studio J) and her aesthetician Sara does great facials too. If you’re looking for a change or you want great color, check out Jill. I highly recommend.

ZERO STARS! I could not be more furious. I sent my daughter for a Brazilian Blowout for $ 250 plus $ 70 for product. I asked her in advance of the treatment if the process did not take, would she redo it at no cost and she said «yes». Well, after one washing it is frizzy and it is very wavy and this is not what any of the pictures she sent me from the Brazilian Blowout website looked like. She has completely backed down on our agreement and cares nothing about me being satisfied as a customer. I would absolutely never go to her again. Don’t waste your money, go somewhere else to have this done. I have had a Brazillian Blowout done on my hair in SF 3 different times and the result was 1000 times better. If you are going to spend this much money, go to someone that actually guarantees their work like Tina at Tribez who charges the same exact price.

I absolutely love my blowout. I have been going to Jillian for 2 years now and have noticed a huge change in my hair. It is no longer dry and damaged looking. It is silky, shiny, and has grown so long. I highly recommend it to people who have frizzy, dry, and damaged hair. Jillian is the best!

I’ve been going to Jillian for the past 3 years to get Brazilian blowouts! She has totally transformed my hair. The blowouts have made my hair twice as thick, super long and shiny. I get endless compliments on my hair. People cannot believe I have naturally curly hair. Jillian knows what she’s doing and always does/​uses the healthiest products on your hair. I look forward to my appointments because she is so fun to talk to and so loving. Not to mention, the best baker. She usually has a sweet treat to offer her clients. My sister and mom now go to her as well for Brazilian blowouts and we are so thankful for her!

I just got my Brazilian Blowout the other day and couldn’t be happier. Jillian is the best. I instantly felt so comfortable with her. She is kind, genuine and funny! In addition she was full of great advice. I am getting my color done by her very soon. She really knows her trade. A very talented stylist and a great find!

Jillian rocks! She has an amazing personality and really knows her stuff. I got a Brazilian blowout from her that turned out awesome as well as some solid advice on what I was doing wrong to my hair to damage and break it. She really cares for her clients and does a great job, plus she is a really cool chic to chat with during the 3 hour process.

I had a brazillian blowout done by Jillian after purchasing a Living Social deal. I have fine, curly, tending toward frizzy hair which I use semi-​perm color on sometimes. I am soooooo happy with the results from Jillian! My hair feels spectacular. I didn’t schedule a cut at the time of my appointment as I thought I’d just check her out, but she also «dusted» my ends to even my existing haircut up. Also, know that she works out of a small, but friendly shop, not a big salon. It’s a long process, so it’s also nice that she has a great personality. A few days later I went to get a cut from my regular person and she said «whoever did your blowout did an excellent job, I can tell». I’m very happy and would definately visit her again.

I had receive a Brazilian blowout from Jilian as a gift from my sister that she purchased of livingsocial. I was super excited about it and scheduled my appointment. About a week before my blowout i dyed my hair blonde and seeing as I did it myself i kinda messed up my hair. So when I went to her to get my blowout she said my hair was just wayyyy to messed up to blowout. I was a little frustrated at first but i figured she was a pro and she must know what shes talking about, so she just cut my hair that day and we scheduled for me to come back in 3 weeks to touch up my roots and do the blowout.
I came back 3 weeks later and she said my hair still wasn’t ready for the blowout… ok so she touched up my roots. She didn’t want to bleach my roots because she was too worried so she just used a lifter or something, but she ended up turning my roots blonde, but tinted blue! It wasn’t that bad SUPER but my roots were light blue for like a week! So then 3 weeks later i went in for my blowout. I LOVED the results when i left her salon. Like she said i waited a few days to wash it and when i did my hair was the EXACT same as it was before i got the blowout. I was very disappointed. I let her know this and she said she would then do it again for free. So a week later when i came in to get my roots touched up again i expected her to do it, but she said she wanted to wait long. ok whatever so she did my roots again… THIS TIME THEY WERE PURPLE!!! Once again I had purple roots for like a week and a half! After allll this I decided to still give her a chance cause i didn’t know any better so she did my roots again and she did a good job. Not great but better, they weren’t blue or purple.
I then refereed my sister and a friend to her. Both my sister and friend got blowouts from her so she said my next root touch up was free! Both my sister and my friend didn’t have great results either. So i was scheduled to go back and get my roots done but that week I didn’t have any money so I told her I wasn’t going to be able to make it but she insisted i still come in and she would do it for me. I was very happy about this. THEN the day of my appointment she texted me two hours before to tell me she had someone else coming in for MY appointment because she needed money. That was the last I EVER heard from her. She is a great person and has a WONDERFUL personality but i was very disappointed from the services i got from her.

Hmmmmmmm… interesting. When I first was looking for a new hair tech to do the Original Brazilian Blowout, multiple 5 star Unilocal reviews led me to Jillian. Now… a while later ALL those reviews are filtered. Fascinating.
Jillian did my blowout and when I was there she informed me she did not have any clients that had hair highlighted as blonde as me. Yikes, really??? My haircolor is pretty common here in sunny California, but I digress. Jillian was very nice and kind while she did my Brazilian Blowout.
Then I washed my hair 3 days later to realize it had been fried to a crisp. As in, it looked like the ends had been burned with a lighter. It fell out, it broke off, no amount of conditioner could save it. I actually called the Brazilian Blowout Corporate Headquarters and they advised me she did not apply it correctly or she passed the flat iron over my hair too many times.
I have had FOUR Original BB prior to getting one with Jillian and I never experienced one piece of breakage. In fact, my hair was better after the BB… until I had Jillian do it.
I would give one star because whatever she did ruined my hair. However, she was nice and pleasant and I know she did not do it maliciously so she gets three stars.
UPDATE:
Jillian actually messaged me to apologize for my hair not turning out as I had expected. I also need to clarify that she does not have any clients as blonde as me because she does not like using bleach and possibly compromising her client’s hair integrity. So props to her for contacting me on my mistake with that part. I like my hair super blonde so obviously she is not the hair dresser for me as far as highlights are concerned, but I give her credit for being cautious about possibly damaging her clients hair. As I said before, she was very nice but my hair just did not turn out the way it had the other four times I received a BB. I have always used the same after care products as well so nothing changed other than I had someone else (Jillian) do my BB. When I contacted BB, the corporate office told me that no matter how damaged someone’s hair is prior to doing a BB, it is up to that individual hairdresser to assess whether or not the client’s hair can handle the treatment. They told me that unless my hair was almost fried beyond repair PRIOR to doing the BB, it would HELP my hair not harm it. MY hair was not fried or severely damaged prior to going to Jillian. So, either I was just a fluke… or BB corporate is full of it to save their own rep and throw a hairdresser under the bus for their product, or Jillian unknowingly fried my hair.

Thanks Jillian! I love, love, love the Brazillian Blowout! You are an EXCELLENT stylist and I will come back again! This was my 2^nd visit and would highly recommend her to everyone! She is a real sweetheart!

Scheduled a Brazilian Blowout through livingsocial to help tame my poor hair that has been travellled between blonde and brunetter 5 times in the last year. Ended up coming on a Saturday afternoon pretty hungover and was a little weary of being stuck with an over talkative hair dresser (not hard to find) but luck was in my favor :)
Jillian not only brought my hair back to life, recommended amazing products but she turned out to be very enoyable company hungover or not. I recommended her to my friend and I’ll defninitely be back for a touch up in 8 weeks.

I have followed Jill to three different salons so far. Jill is a true professional. She will advise you as to what is best for your hair but at the same time listen to what you, as the client, also want. She is a good listener and hears where I’m coming from but she has also been able to update my style over the years. She is a caring person, fun to be around, articulate, knowledgeable about a lot of topics, or willing to just be quiet if that is what the client wishes. The bottom line — my hair always looks great when I walk out of there. I would highly recommend her.

Jillian has been my hairdresser for the past 2 years and I absolutely love her!
She is an excellent hairstylist and colorist who has transformed my hair’s color and texture. I look forward to every visit because in addition to being a great hairstylist, Jillian is a wonderful, caring, and intelligent person who is fun to talk to and always keeps me laughing. I would highly recommend Jillian to anyone who is seeking a hairstylist par excellence!

I have been getting Brazilian Blowouts for at least a year now. My usual stylist was unavailable and I was hesitant to go to anyone else because I am very particular about my hair, but I took a chance and called Jillian. I was not only grateful for her coming in on her normal day off, but she did a fantastic job and gave me the results that I wanted. I also had fun looking at People magazines for 3 hours and hearing her back round comments on whatever I was looking at. She made it fun and I felt like I was hanging out with a girlfriend!
Jill has also cut my hair a few times and I’ve been very happy with her work. She is a hair expert!

I found Jill when I lived in Lafayette several years ago. Her salon was nearby, I found positive reviews in the Internet, decided to try and was very pleased with the results. Since then I moved to Walnut Creek but still go to Jill. I have to say that even if I would have moved much, much farther, I wouldn’t switch to another stylist. Jill is that good.
As previous reviewer mentioned, she is an expert in coloring. She always gives a great piece of advice, and I completely trust her opinion. You can be absolutely sure that you won’t be dissapointed.

Jillian does a great job. She can create any hairstyle you want. she is an expert Colorist too. She knows all the latest styles and what would look good on you. I’m so glad I found her. Jill has a great personality and is fun to talk to.
