Katie Bakes

We planned our wedding long distance from New Mexico. Katie Bakes was responsive and easy to work with over the phone. Their cakes (1 small cake and 48 cupcakes) were delicious and exactly what we ordered. They delivered, setup and left without my even noticing, which is exactly what I would hope for when I was attending to more important wedding celebrations. Thank you Katie Bakes! Money well spent.

I didn’t expect to really enjoy the desserts here because I had read so many displeasing reviews. I, however, LOVED this place. The service was friendly (which is almost more important than the product).
I got the cookie dough cake pop and it was so incredible. I also shared the almond joy cupcake with a friend. I wanted the whole thing. The cake itself wasn’t VERY moist, but I think in this case it worked out because of the very moist coconut icing. I think, had the cake been more moist, it wouldn’t have been that great.
The shop has several standard flavors, in house all the time, and two monthly flavors that change… Well monthly.
Needless to say, I was very pleased and will definitely be going back!

We were in town to take my girlfriend’s 7 year old cousin out for her bday. We took her to Romacelli for lunch before hand (delicious & awesome service). Before we could hand her off to her mother, we had to load her up on sugar. She ordered a birthday cake pop & cupcake. My girlfriend go the chocolate cheesecake cupcake. I got the salted caramel cake pop and the death by chocolate cupcake. I had a taste of each and they were all great. For the $$ the cupcake was a much better deal. The one argument for the cake pop is the icing to cake ratio. Not the best cupcake I have ever had (I have had some pretty amazing ones), but definitely up there in the top 5 or 10. The lady working was extremely nice. She didn’t have a full thing of milk so she gave it to me on the house (it was about 75% full, she could have easily played it off to me as it was full).
Pricing was I believe around $ 2.75/cupcake & $ 2.50/cake pop.
