I“ve been seeing Dr. Leddon for several years for all my skin issues. She is amazing! I love her work and her bedside manner. She’s friendly and informative and always very pleasant. Over the past 25 years I’ve seen many different Dermatologists in Boulder County and beyond. I finally found a great Dr. that I can stay with! I love that she does informative classes, on lasers, botox, fillers etc. out of her Lafayette office. She also has a perfect location in Boulder just by the entrance at the Foothills Medical Center.

Is giving zero stars an option? Guess not, so Dr. Leddon and the Center for Dermatology get one very reluctant star. Where to begin? First, Dr. Leddon has the bedside manner of a cactus. Cold, distant and devoid of any personality. I found her to be exceedingly condescending and haughty. I might not be a doctor, but I’m no slouch in mental ability. I recognize when someone is acting demeaning and treating me as though I’m ignorant. The care she gave was fine, but if you’re wanting a personable and down to earth doctor, she is not of that variety. Upon checkout, there was a mixup with my insurance. I went home, called the insurance company, cleared up the confusion and called the office back immediately. I informed the receptionist that the issue was resolved, but that my insurance wouldn’t be covering the cost anyway due to my high deductible so I’d be on the lookout for the bill. Fine. Settled. Done. Fast forward fifteen days. I get an email from the Center For Dermatology that there is an «urgent issue» that needs my attention right away. Wow, what is it?! Do I have skin cancer? Leprosy? Am I dying? Of course, I called immediately. The office was in a panic that they hadn’t received payment yet. What?! It had been two weeks and one day. I hadn’t even received a bill! I explained the situation, yet again.(I asked the receptionist what my total was… wow, a full $ 130 more than I was originally told. Isn’t it funny how that works?) She then asked me if I wanted to give her a credit card right then. Ummmmmm, no. Bill first, payment to follow. Later that night, my phone started ringing. I didn’t know the number so I didn’t answer. It called. Five minutes later called again. Five minutes later called again and left a message. Guess who? Dr. Leddon’s office, telling me that there was an «urgent message» that needed my attention. Seriously, what is wrong with these people? I will no longer be a patient of Dr. Leddon’s. I will tell everyone I know, and possibly even strangers on the street, about my experience. I will shout it from my roof. Shouldn’t she and her office staff know that there are many, many dermatologists out there and just maybe they should not harass the patients they *do* have?

Someone once told me that dermatologists are the worst doctors in medicine. They never seem to be nice and its very difficult to find a good one. This has proved true for me. I’ve been to only two derms in the past 6 years, before I just gave up hope and started treating my acne myself. Dr. Leddon is part of the Boulder Valley Center for Dermatology, in Louisville. There is also another doctor there, Dr. Casey Gallagher. I have seen Dr. Leddon several times for acne and her opinion on some of my moles. She was cordial, but always seemed too busy for me, and only ever suggested things I’ve tried before(such as benzoyl peroxide, etc.). Maybe there isn’t that much out there to try in the world of treating acne, but needless to say, I was disappointed. I don’t doubt that Dr. Leddon is well educated and probably knows her stuff, but to me it just didn’t prove that useful. And honestly, I spent more time with her nurse than with her.
