Clean rooms, decent location. Dismal breakfast which they broke down 10 minutes before it was time.

Exactly what I expected for the price, and possibly even nicer than the Le Meridien we stayed at in New Orleans. It was clean and modern and spacious. Service was friendly and fast. Breakfast was a typical free motel breakfast. We even asked for a baby crib and got a Graco pack n play that was like new. Overall super happy with our stay here en route from Houston to New Orleans.

Hotel was Clean, Quiet, and Spacious. This is my second stay neither service nor quality has gone down. It’s in a nice location where you will not be very far away from the university, food or other Lafayette, LA treasures.

Staying for several weeks. Cleaning staff is so-so at best. Brought up issues with front desk and first time nothing changed. Brought up issues again today so we will see what happens. I have stayed at other Wingate Hotels in the past and they were far superior to this one. Will update this review more later. It might get better… or not

For the one night we stayed here, we weren’t disappointed. The room was large and it was clean. They had a hot-tub room which was open until 11 pm. We decided we wanted to relax in there a bit after returning for the night around 10 pm. They had the lights off in the room and the door was locked. We asked the front desk why our key wouldn’t let us in and they said they keep it locked during the later hours, which was confusing due to the sign saying open until 11 pm. But, they graciously let us in. We got in and the water was lukewarm. Bummer. Turned the jets on and it took a half hour to warm up to hot-tub status. Overall, the rest of the stay went just fine and the breakfast was ok.

Was here for my cousins graduation from UL. I’ll try to keep it very short and simple. One word: Clean. Two words: Wi-fi sucks. Three words: Breakfast was good. (I don’t see myself ever going to Lafayette, LA ever again. Not my cup of tea)

Having not stayed in Lafayette before, I’m not sure how to relate this hotel to its peers in the area, but it is was sub-standard on a relative basis for chains at this price point. The bed was old and not comfortable and the mattress was not fully covered by the fitted sheet. Yuk. Elevator was broken while I was there and my room was on the 3rd floor. Breakfast was blah. Service staff was kind — recommended the nearby John E’s for dinner and the gumbo was dreamy good. This is my 2nd stay at a Wingate in the past year(different cities, different states) and both were shabby and not on par with La Quinta, Holiday Inn Express, and others in this category. They should either upgrade their hotels or lower their price point to compete with their actual peers, Super 8, Motel 6, etc.
