Nov 16. Really good: Free Salsa(served one saucer per person, one small decanter). Fajita’s serving size. Ice tea. Temperature: good sizzling fahitas! Good: Free chips. Acceptable: The Service, slow for 3 pm late lunch. Much slower & less attentive than previous visits. Value: Iffy/A-OK; $ 7.99 lunch fahitas, $ 2.49 drink + tax. NOTSOGOOD: TASTE: Fahita’s: Beef: Not good(questionable meat). Chicken OK. Both beef & chicken: Bland & missing fahita flavor. Chef/cook needed to add a dash of fajita flavoring.

We lived on the west coast for 10 years and developed an appreciation for good Mexican food. This place is excellent, we have been twice already and since we are moving to La Grange, we will become regulars. the polo Mexican and crane asada tacos were fantastic. the bean and rice sidecdishes are basic but VERY tasty.

This restaurant was next to the hotel we stopped at for the evening. The girl at the front desk told us to «go out the back door» to find it. We are so glad we did! The service was wonderful — everyone was friendly and fast. The food was delicious, I had the shrimp fajitas but the BEST was the pitcher of margaritas we had. They were amazing, best I’ve had in a long time. Nice back patio too and if you have kids they have a little fenced in play area off the patio.

El Acapulco is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants of all time. It’s an Oldham County staple. Growing up in the OC, I’ve probably eaten here several dozen times. Some weeks, my sister and I would come here 3 – 4 times. The food is excellent. I could drink the queso. I almost always get the chicken and cheese quesadilla, which is served with grilled chicken, not the shredded crap you get from some Mexican places. The quesadilla is perfectly grilled with a nice crisp, and full of gooey, melty cheese. The service is just as spectacular as the food. The owner, hosts, servers are all extremely friendly. It’s like as soon as you walk in the door, you’re part of their family. Everyone remembers your name and knows your order by heart. They always ask about my family: «How’s your dad» or «Where’s your sister?» They are truly some of the friendliest people around.
