Great place to make a stop after touring the area! Super affordable and good service!

I’ve noticed for sometime that if Alex is out of town(in Canada for the winter), the«friendly service» and quality/tastefulness of the food goes down, I will wait until Alex returns before I return! The guy working there right now is borderline«mean».

Let me start off by saying I’m not here to rant off about a bad experience or complain about the prices. The whole reason why I am giving 2 starts is because the food is not good. This is again my opinion but I come from a middle eastern background and have had way better Mediterranean fast food at ZANKOU. The falafel is very dry and can’t believe they don’t make it fresh. The chicken shawarma is dry and the garlic sauce is lacking flavor. Adonis has great customer service and the place is clean but the food is not good period! Upgrade the food I will definitely be back!

Service was great. The food was clean and well prepared. I had the trio gyro wrap and my girlfriend had the chicken/gyro plate. The gyro was very salty and the chicken was dry, but their dipping sauce was very good. Not sure this is a 4 and a half star establishment on Unilocal.I’ve eaten at places with similar price/service and had much better food. Overall, this place was average.

The best ever lamb beef gyro I’ve ever had in my life in the US! The guy taking orders offered me a very generous sample of his chicken and gyro was very kind and pleasant. Every time I visit Laguna beach I will come back for these gyros $ 7.50 for the best wrap with fresh garlic sauce and a ton of veggies awesome job

I was walking around Laguna Beach in search of some quick good food. This place delivered with a flavorful chicken wrap. It is a little inconvenient that they only take cash but I noticed the sign for an atm and luckily my boyfriend provided the cash. The man behind the counter was friendly and fast. I will definitely go there again!

This is just a whole in the wall kinda place. Its not fancy and very small. Its right across the street from the beach which makes it easy to take your food and go. With that being said, you woukd be totally okay to eat there if you had sand all over your feet too. The wraps are reasonably priced and the food is good. I didn’t give it 5 stars because they only accept cash which can be an inconvenience for people like me who almost never has cash and relys on debit for transactions. Funny thing though, they only played one song the entire time. Even when we passed back by there they were still playing the same Celine Dion song. They must really like that song. Lol

Tasty gyros. Yogurt sauce is great. I prefer the beef lamb gyro vs. chicken(kind of bleh, maybe from marinade). Service is friendly.

Never have I had a better tasting Gyro! This place is great. Have been coming here for a few years now. These are the only Gyros i eat. The service is friendly, the place is clean. And the beach is across the street. Not to mention later in the evening there are some street performers playing songs. Goes hand in hand with a trio gyro wrap with my loved ones.

Wow, very pleased with stopping here! Great place right off the beach. All outdoor seating which is great for people watching! They take cash only buy they have an ATM right in their place. I ordered falafel as a side — excellent! He cools then when you order! Got the Adonis chicken. The chicken was tender and delicious and came on a bed of rice which was cooked to perfection! The Hummus and pita were yummy. Pita is pressed to cooked which makes it coming out of a bag palatable. The potatoes in tomato sauce was dull and dry but it’s just a side so who cares. And totally affordable! Eat here!

We stumbled upon this place while walking around in Laguna beach. The four stars on Unilocal made this mom n pop joint more appealing than it looks. The food was pretty good. The fries were super crispy and the chicken gyro was pretty decent. However, the service was just horrible. The wait was too long with only one and a half person preparing food behind the counter(I say half because one guy was at the register as well). I would have given this place a four star but the service was horrible and the guy at the register was very rude and not friendly at all. The whole experience just felt rushed and made you feel very unwelcomed

A falafel with a twist. I like his place, cool staff, very friendly and at service, their food is delicious and there is just certain charm in eating on the street. There is virtually no seating, a couple of counters and chairs… and it’s as if the setting itself makes the food even tastier. The only thing is that although the food and ambiance are at the street-food level — the prices are aiming adjust a tad higher. Not saying that $ 11 for a falafel wrap is too much, especially not when it’s gone best damn falafel wrap in Orange County– but it still feels that the prices are not at par with the offering. Despite that nuisance — I will definitely be back.

Hands down, this place has the BEST shawarma! Here’s why: 1. Delicious! 2. Fresh ingredients. 3. Appealing to the eye as well! Amazing veggies and sides. The pickled cabbage is so good, colored with beets not food color, delicious! 4. Friendly service and very generous servings. 5. Best garlic tzatziki sauce, OMG! 6. The chicken is all breast meat and super juicy. They must marinate it in happiness and love. 7. The flavor is unbeatable. The lamb/beef and chicken. Juicy and full of flavor. I could go on and on. Just keep in mind there are no tables, just a few seats. It’s a local favorite. Take it to go or just sit for a few minutes and eat there, trust me it won’t take you long to finish your food!!! We just love this place and always stop by to say hello and get a bite to eat. Especially when we have friends or family visiting from out of town. Never been disappointed! Wish they would open up a spot in Irvine!

Very average experience, not sure if they have such a great rating here. Maybe because the nearest mediterranean place is like 5 – 7 miles from there? I got gyro wrap, it was good size for the price, but taste was so-so. So next time I’m in Laguna Beach I’ll take that long drive to another mediterranean restaurant or just try something else locally

Came here for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. The only other people at the restaurant were two firefighters. The worker was extremely nice and helpful to them. He even made them a fresh batch of fries even though he already had some made. I’m thinking to myself. «Oh wow. Great customer service. This guy is really cool.» The firefighters leave with their food, and the guy takes my order. My cousin and I both get the chicken wrap. Another worker came out and made our wraps. Noticed he prepared the wraps using his bare hands… Thanks dude. I asked for a small side of hummus hoping to get a small little cup for free. He gets one of those square plastic containers and fills it up with hummus. Then he asks if I want some pita bread. I think again to myself«this guy is so nice. He was nice to those firefighters and now he’s giving me free hummus with some pita bread.» I really only wanted a small side of hummus. Instead he charges me $ 4.85 for hummus and one thing of pita bread. I just pay because I just don’t feel like arguing. Plus he totally wasn’t as nice to us as he was to those firefighters. I just think he should have told me that it wasn’t going to be free. It was just misleading since I asked for a small side, and that’s not what he gave me. I thought he was being nice, but he really wasn’t. I didn’t even want pita bread but asked me if I wanted some(misleading again). I would have paid a dollar, maybe two for a SMALL side of hummus. Who charges $ 4.85 for hummus and one thing of pita bread. The actual chicken wrap didn’t taste bad, but it wasn’t anything special. The vegetables were good, but the chicken was dry and the pita bread hardened up a bit. The food isn’t good enough for me to make a second trip, and the whole hummus/pita bread situation didn’t help. Cash + metered parking only. Below average food, bad experience, inconvenience. They hit the trifecta; i’m never coming back.

I don’t know whats the big deal about this place. Pricey, cash ONLY and slow service given that they are in a very touristy spot. The guy behind the counter gave us sample of the gyro(beef and lamb meat). It was salty. I looked for falafel but found it available in rice plate or as a wrap. Not as an appetizer(boo). Got ourselves gyro wrap and falafel wrap. I found the falafel wrap dry. My husband liked his gryo. They have an ATM inside and charges $ 1 for a transaction. Other places are about $ 3.50/transaction. The place has bar seats along the wall next to the cafeteria. It is right next to Chantilly ice cream shop.

Adonis is a little bit off the beaten path next to the ice cream shop so it’s easy to miss if you’re walking along PCH but it’s definitely a must try if you’re looking for a cheaper alternative to lunch/dinner in the Laguna area. It’s a small little shop that serves up delicious Mediterranean! The Trio Gyro Wrap is so bomb!!! It comes with a big thick juicy gyro wrap, fresh fries(what I mean by fresh is that the man scooped up fresh made fries) and a drink of your choice. The tzatziki sauce paired wonderfully with the gyro and the meat was so tender and juicy. I see a lot of comments about the meat being dry so I think you just have to come at the right time. Cash only, ATM machine inside.
