Fantastic IYE from hosted by Shiv.
I wasn’t sure where to meet, so I just walked over to the entrance and stretched while I waited for the rest of our party to show up.
I’ve never been to Crystal Cove, but it’s been on my OC hit list for years. We started our hike and we made our way through the sites all the way past Ruby’s Shake Shack. Our party got hungry and we settled upon the Beachcomber. The wait was long, but it was worth the wait.
Lunch by the beach with the sun and ocean breeze as your extra friends is a definite win. Events like these really make me appreciate where I live and solidify the fact that I will never want to leave SoCal. Thank you Shiv and Ryan for a wonderful Sunday getaway.

It was a beautiful, clear day for a hike. Unfortunately a few of us were uncertain as to where to show up at Crystal Cove State Park. Did you know it has 4 separate entrances? I didn’t until yesterday. For some reason I assumed that we were meeting at El Moro, but we ended up meeting down at Pelican Point. Once gathered, we started our hike. We ended up at the Beachcomber for lunch which was fine by me. Gorgeous weather and some of my Unilocal friends equals an awesome outing. I really love these events because we were able to experience something locally while being outdoors to boot. So thanks to Shivani and Ryan for a great time.
