We love this library, we come here to get a break from the heat and crowds at the beach. Good place for my daughter to get some online school work done. If you get the right table you can watch the waves breaking on Main Beach. The children’s room is nice too, Saturday they had a craft table set up with Fall activities.

I love the Orange County Library system. With over 30 branches available, they come in handy for borrowing books, CDs, DVDs, buying used books, using a computer, WiFi, or a bathroom. The online catalog keeps getting easier to use and I love the ebook/eaudio system. I love their hold system. I love that this on is within walking distance of many other places. Parking can be tough. I needed more time to browse the used books.

This library has the RUDEST librarians. They fit the cliché stereotype exactly. I come here often with my mental disabilities client, and they are always rude and disrespectful to both him and myself. They talk down to me when I have questions, and become angry with my client if he is making their job any harder than sitting on their bums all day already is. I hate coming here but am sometimes forced to due to location. For such a lovely city with such lovely people, it really is a shame that these horrible librarians have to taint such a charming library.

A lovely place to hang out with a nice children’s section. Amazing modern architecture set smack in the middle of town. Worth a visit even if you’re a tourist. Thanks for making many of my days bright…

Great location, RIGHT by laguna beach. A two minute walk to the beach from this library. But if you are going for books this library has a small selection. The libraries main focal point is its great location. Parking is decent for being in Laguna Beach and free, however it is only for library customers. Good library.

The library? Sounds like the name of a dark, lounge-y bar. Nope, this is an actual review of a public library. Ever since the birth of the Internet libraries have fallen to the wayside just like so many other things. Remember writing a letter? Where did we turn before Unilocal? I admit, I have forgotten all about my local library. The last book I read was over two months ago. So why did I go to the library? Curiosity and nostalgia. I’m a freak when it comes to both. This particular library is in downtown Laguna Beach, so expect to see a lot of transients around looking for a quiet place to take a nap or get out of the heat. They’ve got about 15 – 20 public computers and if you need to print something out, they’ve got a printer you can use for a nominal charge. Fees haven’t really changed much. It’ll cost you a quarter a day for a late book and $ 1 for a late DVD. Still a deal considering the DVDs are free and you can check out up to 20 at a time. They may not be the latest releases, but what more do you want for free? The best part about this library is it’s only about a block away from the beach where you can sit down, relax and enjoy that book!
