Rusty

Not your typical surf shop. They carry a really full lineup of Rusty surfboards, have a good fin selection, and pads and leashes, etc. I go there because they carry Otis Sunglasses. Always getting in new styles. I am fortunate to be able to buy pretty much any brand that strikes my fancy, but these are the best. Mineral lenses that are nearly scratch proof, styles that are cool riffs on classic frames, super comfortable to wear. I walked by the Persol store in Beverly Hills yesterday and didn’t even go inside (first time that ever happened)
They also carry Rusty branded clothing, super stylish stuff… Not your typical surf wear.
My wife likes their women’s clothing selection as (again) it is not your typical stuff.
They also have a good selection of Globe footwear. U like CJ Hobgood’s millennium flair? Well, u can wear his shoes. :)
Really not a «surf shop» per se, more like a super cool place to hang out, with fun clothes, watches (Vestal), shades and shoes staffed with friendly people who know their products.
What I like most about the shop (besides the Otis shades) is that they don’t carry 10,000 brands of everything. They carry the brands that they believe in, and they will tell you «flat out» the story behind the brand, and why they are devoting shelf space to it.
Stop by, talk about Owen’s perfect heats, the hassling at Rockpile, how crappy the summer traffic is… And buy some stuff.
