Alpha Cleaners

Really loathe to write a negative review, because I want to use Unilocal to support businesses. But I think people should know that this owner tried to nickel-​and-​dime me. And this really bums me out.
I brought in some jeans to fix a hole in them. Pre-​paid $ 10 for that. When I picked them up, the owner said she did me a «favor» and fixed the hem at the legs. I thanked her. Then she told me I owe her $ 5 for that. I told her I really appreciated that, but she’s asking for a full 50% extra for something I never requested. Then she started to yell at me telling me, «I did you a favor!» etc etc. So I said that she could’ve called me first for an OK, if she wanted to throw this in and charge me for it. (And to be honest, I’m pretty generous so had she done this for free I probably would’ve tipped her generously anyhow as a «thank you.») Then she just yelled at me more and shoved my jeans at me.
(It was so bizarre, I felt like I was in a People’s Court episode or something ridiculous like that.)
I’m not one to lose my temper, so I just left. I’ve only been here once before, and she seemed nice. I have a huge bag of clothes to be tailored, which I was actually hoping to give to her later this week. But I guess I have to go somewhere else now. Anyhow, how you proceed is none of my business – but just thought I’d give everyone a warning about my really disappointing experience here. Hope you get treated better if you go to Alpha Cleaners.

I took my couch cushion cover to Alpha hoping they could take out a stain that I was not able to get out. The stain was pretty bad and I thought I was going to have to suck it up and just buy a brand new cushion cover :(
Alpha cleaners saved the day! They not only got the stain out, but they made the cushion look brand new (and at a great price)

These folks may offer great service but use them for special items then. Forget it if you are bigand or tall. Because the shirts don’t fit on their machines they finish the shirt byhand pressing them; 5 shirts and 1 pair of casual slacks $ 25. Just don’t be shocked if you don’t ask the price before you leave.

I brought them a leather motorcycle jacket that was made in 1959 (and has never been dry cleaned). I was rolling the dice being that I never have been to them before. They did an amazing job. Now I have a new-​looking old jacket that was made for my father in 1959 and handed down to me.
I’d highly recommend them to anyone.

I frequent the shopping center in Laguna Hills where this Alpha Cleaners is located and decided to try out their services for my dry cleaning needs and am so glad that I did! I have not stopped taking my clothes there since. They offer competitive prices, discounts on bulk cleaning, friendly service, and most importantly IMMACULATE dry cleaning! My clothing is always perfectly pressed, clean and as crisp as the first time they were taken to the cleaners. I was so impressed by their cleaning that I now even use their alteration service which is precise and prompt. I will not take my clothes, comforters, or alterations anywhere other than Alpha Cleaners in Laguna Hills because I trust that I will be satisfied by the quality service they consistently deliver.

I found this place via Groupon and I was very happy with their services. I have not had anything very complicated for them to do, so I can’t speak as to their talents regarding stain fighting, etc., but I am sure I will have a challenge or two for them to fight some day :)
They are in an easy to access shopping center right off the 5 freeway, which is a plus for me in picking up my cleaning after work on my way home.

I thought all the cleaners are the same, until I tried Alpha! I had this pair of jeans that I love, which had a stain for a couple of years. No cleaner was able to clean it, but Alpha did! It was not expected and I was totally amazed.
Not only that, they CALLED me to check if the my skirt was ok to press, because it looked like it might had a bad alteration job and they didn’t want the «weird» look to be permanent. I told them it’s OK to do it because it’s just a weird looking asymmetrical skirt. I have never gotten service like that from a cleaner.
They are not that close to my house, but I make the extra drive because of their superb service. The nice lady also hem a couple of my pants and I could not have been happier.
Hence I proclaim that not all dry cleaners are not created equal, and Alpha Cleaner lives up to its name.

I don’t like to review places that aren’t of the tourist industry, but oh my word am I impressed with Alpha Cleaners! I found them via Groupon.
I have had the same white peacoat for many, many years. I gave it to Alpha Cleaners for a couple days and the coat comes back like new! I couldn’t believe how white and «new-​stiffness-​feeling» it was! I am totally impressed and every time I wear that coat now, I feel like its something really expensive again. LOL
I’m so happy to have found my new drycleaners!
