We tried lulu’s for the first time this morning and I was wondering why I hadn’t tried it before! My husband got the baguette french toast which was amazing, and I got the curry crepes, which was so good! Everything we tried was great! It’s rare we both love a place, so we’ll definitely come back!

It’s been awhile since we’ve been to the restaurant. Everything was very tasty. The new owners are great. Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I like the new décor.

Just had breakfast yesterday, Sunday at Lulu’s Café. The place is charming and I will give it another try. However, avoid the pancakes! Very large yes, but gummy in the middle and not fluffy. All four of us had the pancakes and could not enjoy them. Would have sent them back but we had to wait so long for our food since they were busy. Waitress just shrugged when we showed her the undercooked centers of the pancakes. Coffee and mocha’s were good. Lorna Farthing

Cute little place in a non-descriptive strip mall by the 5 freeway in Laguna Hills. We were there on Sunday and was greeted by a lovely older lady. We ordered two crepes, Greek and something with bacons for my husband. Crepes were good, flavorful, but unfortunately we’re drowning in so much sauce! The sauce was good, it was just too much and overwhelmed the delicate crepes and the fillings! The place was crowded and there was one cook and the old lady. We had to get up to remind her of our check. A regular patron at one point got up and helped with the coffee! Not sure if I will be back.

Love this place it’s so cute and they have the yummiest food and awesome servers who genuinely act like they love their job. Definitely try one of the crepes.

First time here. My daughter lives 3 minutes away. The eggs Benedict with salmon were amazing. They have a wide selection of offerings. Many savory and sweet crêpe options. If you have never been here, you must give it a try. It took a little bit to get our food, but it was worth it. That just tells me it’s authentic and everything is made from scratch. They have an outdoor area as well. When we finished our lunch and I paid the check, I asked the lady that waited on us her name. She responded: Lulu.

Came for a early breakfast. The service was very attentive. We were helped with menu items. We ordered the L’American(basically an american breakfast) with pain perdu. This item was very good and satisfying. We Also ordered the Spinach Omelette which was also very good. We recommend this nice, cozy Café for lunch. Can’t wait to come back for Lunch to try their french menu.

Took my mom here on Mother’s Day for an impromptu brunch. From the service to ambiance, and especially the food, it was all great and we will be back! Such a great find in a little strip mall. The place was packed which was a good sign, we didn’t realize they were having a special Mother’s Day brunch with limited menu but it didn’t matter; the service was very friendly from the start and with every person encountered. There was even a lovely jazz singer adding to the special occasion as well. We both had omelets — La Parmentier and La Rustica, both delicious, and came with potatoes and toast served with real butter and jam. Can’t wait to go back for lunch and dinner to try different items. The only downfall is that this place closes early and is not open for dinner most days of the week. We were surprised when the place cleared out mid afternoon and we were the last one’s in the restaurant. When we asked if they were closed, they kindly said yes, but to take our time finishing. Such lovely people! Looking forward to the next visit already.

Great service and even better food. Came here for the crepes and it was on point. Nice little café that has more of a country diner/café feel to it.

Staff is friendly and that’s about the extent of it. Ordered hazelnut crêpe with bananas. Best part was the bananas. Crêpe taste like a store bought batter and was served cold. Texture was rubber and off.

Consistently fantastic food and service. Unlike most places in town, I never ever feel rushed while enjoying a meal here. Mom and I just spent nearly 2 hours having breakfast and catching up. Savory crepes are hard to beat, however I can honestly say everything I’ve had here had been either good or great. Clean establishment, delicious champagne, damn good coffee. Definitely we’ll be back

Wish I took a picture of my chocolat-hazelnut crêpe but I dove right in. AMAZING. Great service, clean environment, and food was spectacular. Hidden gem. My fiancé got the Irish-crêpe is and was drool worthy. Can’t wait to come back!

The food was very good liked it a lot. They served fresh bread and muffins at start of breakfast. The kids ordered hot chocolate and it was not too hot. The price was overall good. Although I was unhappy to learn I was charged 5.00 for 1 coffee and 5.00 for 1 tea. After tip breakfast was 70.00 a bit high for a family of 4 for breakfast.

Very cute café! I ate the salmon omelette and it hit the spot. The coffee is great and it’s organic. They give you a bread basket with French bread and these darling mini-lemon and cranberry muffins. I will definitely be coming back to this cute French inspired restaurant!

What a great location for breakfast or lunch! So many innovative and delicious items on this mainly French inspired(but not limited to) menu! I had the Cajun-style crêpe with shrimp, Andouille sausage and curry sauce(you can request mild, medium or spicy — I did spicy — yum!). My friends both had the Quiche which they raved about(one was a vegetarian Quiche), and the scrambled egg with bacon, which was plentiful. Really nice environment; attentive, friendly servers. I will definitely be back to sample more delicious menu items.

Friendly, unique cuisine, GOOD live music. What else could i ask. We were blessed with a mountain of garlic fries to share… Amazing. Between the three of us we had Quiche, crepes, and pasta Bolognaisse. We shared and it was wonderful. A real taste treat.

Lulu is always one of my favorites in Laguna Hills and surrounding area. Very few good places to eat in this area but here I know I will enjoy sitting on the patio and having some great crepes. Ask for lulu when there and she will take great care of you. Soon you will feel like family.

I am always looking for new restaurants to try, I came across Lulu’s Café & thought I’d give some French food a chance, sure enough I was very impressed. Definitely taste their garlic fries & chicken pistou pasta I loved both. But what stood out to me what the amazing customer service, the gentleman named Edouard was more than welcoming & cared to make small talk. Edouard & Nicolas(owners) are very nice and I will be returning!

The Crepes are awesome. Make sure you go on a night that Moqui is singing… she’s an incredible singer of adult standards, and a charming lady. My only regret about Lulu’s is that they close at 3pm, so you can’t have dinner there except on weekends. Other than that… Lulu’s is a local gem.

The food is ok and the prices are kind of expensive, I mainly like the place for the workers. The guy that was working there was from France and he was very nice and had good customer service. But, the waffle I had was kind of gross, but given waffles usually are gross when they’re made at restaurants. I liked the little muffins that the guy brought out, they tasted good. I like how the worker constantly checked on my friends and I to see if we needed something, usually places never do that.

Been here twice. The food is pretty consistent, serving is not as big so if you have add-ons, be sure to expect a breakfast for the price of a decent lunch. One star was taken out for the price.

I just went here for the first time and it’s amazing. The décor was super cute and they played nice French music. The waiter was extremely nice and brought us bread and muffins while we waited for our food. The coffee was delicious and good black. The food looked and tasted incredible. We got two sweet crepes which were perfectly cooked. Best crepes I’ve ever had and my wife and I try them anywhere we can find them. We will definitely go back.

Have been here 3 times. Food and service are perfect. This is a gem of a hole in the wall. There was also a live female singer who had a beautiful voice to serenade my brunch. Think bossa nova style café singing, a very nice touch. Items to try: everything.

My husband wanted to try French for breakfast and suggested we try this place. Plenty of outdoor seats than indoor seats. Small chic place transporting you to Paris. We were greeted by a nice smiling lady who happens to be the owner as well, and seated us. Outdoors have heaters, speakers, hanging plant pots. The lady took our order — eggs benedict and Cajun crêpe. She brought us complimentary warm muffins, slices of baguette. Later as we were devouring our food she asked if we like warm croissants to go with the hot drink. I said yes and she brought two complimentary croissants and baguette slices. That was very nice of her to bring us warm fresh croissants. Cajun crêpe — creamy tomato sauce with three shrimp, chicken and andouille(sp?) sausage. Crêpe was soft. I opted for spicy flavor and it wasn’t that spicy. We both were like Jack Sprat — licked the plater clean =D Great for breakfast.

The best crepes in south county, hands down. I’ve never tried their evening meals, but their breakfast is great. The service is excellent and genuine, and their breakfast menu option are plentiful and well executed. Great breakfast options including Blintzes(blueberry or strawberry), savory crepes(such as Galette or smoked salmon) and typical breakfast options such as eggs and potatoes. I love that they have everything for everyone and all dishes are prepared fresh! This is a great place to spend a lazy Sunday morning. It’s a great and comfortable place to sit, with excellent coffee(and espresso options) and very kind and attentive service, probably the best in the area.

Since hubby and I had a nice experience here, we decided to come back again for breakfast on another Saturday morning. This time our experience was a bit disappointing though. We sat on the patio. I ordered the La Normandie omelette with coffee. The utensils and coffee mug were dirty, and the complimentary mini muffins were cold and dry(tasted different and like they were made the day before). Even my toast that came with the omelette was cold and hard as a rock, totally inedible. I saw that one Unilocaler said that there has been a change in owner. Could this be the reason? Since I still like the place regardless of this experience(hence the 3 stars for service… normally this would be 1 or 2 stars for me), I would like to come back again to see if I just happened to come on an off day. I really hope I did.
