Tried contacting them on their website. Failed to answer emails. Went to store. Thought Kyle really understood what I was looking for, after shopping quite a few places. The company has made every effort to provide samples and be responsive to my requests. They found me a great hardwood floor product by Boen, a Norwegian company that uses no formaldehyde and it is a floating floor that can be installed without toxic glues, and over a great many subfloors.

David and his staff have always been great to work with, nothing but quality work from this family operated business. I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone for their flooring needs whether it is for your home or business.

My wife and I selected Finishing Touch to install new hardwood floors and kitchen counters. The work involved some demo of our fireplace mantel and kitchen island. We selected them because they carried the exact brand of floor and counter tops we wanted. Things started ok. The design plan good and the person helping us had good ideas. It was in the implementation that things completely fell apart. First the demo crew showed up completely unprepared. Claimed they were not told of all the demo required. They demolished more than the floors, they broke a fireplace glass door, scratched our entry way floor, created a big mess and left it that way. Next the floor installers showed up and also said they were not well briefed on the scope of work. They didn’t bring base boards and it took several days for them to complete the job. The rest of the work was just a disorganized. I feel like with the exception of the fabricator the entire work was done by the B team. Long story shot, the work ran way over the time we were told, communication was a black hole. We tried many times to get an update on status, schedule, etc. and went days without getting any return call or email. When it came time to pay for the broken fireplace door, they wanted to give me a $ 40 credit. When I called the fireplace store, the very cheapest door was $ 80 not installed. My advice. Stay away from these people.

My husband and I have had a really negative experience with this company. We are still waiting for them to correct the installation issues with our kitchen floor, and it’s going on six months.(The original layout we specified was not followed, and all the parties agreed it would be corrected. But there have only been broken promises of getting us «on the schedule.») We have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and they have sent five letters, none of which have been responded to. They will most likely be suspended. We have never had any issues like this with any contractors we’ve used in the past.

Love my new kitchen! We completely remolded and expanded the kitchen in our new home. I knew what granite I wanted but was lost on picking a backsplash. Donovan helped me find a backsplash I love. I am very pleased with their workmanship. I will use them again in the future if more work comes up. The only reason I gave four stars is because sometimes communication would be lacking on their end.

David and Donovan were great to work with. They were flexible in pricing, and my time schedule. My tile work is complete, and the task was difficult to say the least, but they flat out rose to the occasion. My wood floor are almost complete, needing only minor touch up, and they turned out very nice. They saved a 60 year old floor. They assure me that I will be 100% satisfied, and so far I give them 5 stars and two thumbs up. They were even kind enough to take care of some damage that a careless contractor left me as a surprise. Keep up the good work guys. TF Laguna Beach, CA

Donovan, owners son will tell you anything to sell the job. We were lied to just to get our business. They not only ruined a «solid, ¾″ walnut, handscraped, distressed» floor we had, they ruined our baseboards while doing it. He said after refinishing our floors that we would still have the handscrape and distressing on it and it didn’t. It didn’t have any distressing or handscraping left and was totally flat except for the«chatter» marks covering the entire floor. Those are ripples from either sanding too fast, not replacing the drum belt on their sander or being inexperienced. They also made a divet all around the baseboard in the entire room from the hand sander hitting the baseboard. This should’ve been protected. They left what’s called in the trade, «digging a trench» which is holding the hand sander on a slant too close to the wall and making a trench there. There was a foot print right in the middle of the floor. It was all around a terrible job. When asked if they could or would do anything for us, at first Donovan said there was«NOTHING» they could do. Then after talking to Dave, the father/owner, he promised they would make the job right and we would be totally satisfied. He NEVER called me back after telling me he would. I sent two emails and never heard anything. I called again and he again said he would talk to Donovan and call me back, and never did. From the first time I complained, until now has been 6 months. I gave him plenty of time to make good on the job, just to get ignored. I waited and no return call!!!
