Full disclosure my son did not end up going here but I wanted to inform people of my experience. This place is only for your child if they are already at grade level or just need a little bit of help. My son is falling behind and I bought him here to see if they could help him. They turned him away saying he was to far behind and they couldn’t help him. Which I thought kumon was the type of place to help kids who were behind but I think it’s only for kids that just need a little bit of help that are already at grade level.

My four year old son Elijah attended this center for just a few months before switching to a Kumon location closer to our home. Kumon was Elijah’s first experience participating in a classroom setting, and although he is an extremely high-​energy little boy, their patience and professionalism helped give him a bit more structure and focus. Thank you Eileen, Shen, Hannah and everyone who put in the extra effort to give Elijah a good introduction to the classroom experience.

I took Kumon from 2nd grade to 8th grade. I remember being so ahead of my classmates — I started learning Algebra in 5th grade. I skipped pre-​algebra and went straight into Algebra1 in 7th grade at my teacher’s recommendation (Niguel Hills). Getting ahead with Kumon made school so much easier. I have since graduated from university and law school. My little brother also took Kumon and has graduated from university and is currently in med school. I am very happy to see that Mrs. Yap is still the director. She is very kind and truly is passionate about teaching her students to work hard and excel. I saw her at Starbucks and she recognized me — it’s been 15 years =)

Great instructors. Mrs. Yap truly cares about each student. Our 3 kids started kumon at age 5. They are all in the advanced math group at school. I believe Kumon gives kids strong study habits as well as a great foundation for their future schooling. I highly recommend this kumon center for all students, regardless of their level. For our kids, school work has become very easy.

Mrs. Eileen Yap the principal, and her team members in Kumon provided a good learning environment for my son when he was in elementary school. Now my son is in college and I still remember how my son could achieve higher scores in both reading and mathematics. I recommend parents to take their kids to Kumon, the one on Crown Valley next to Vons. In a few months you will see the improvements in your kids.
