I usually go to Baja Fish Tacos right next door, but there’s always a long line and, quite frankly, they are pretty pricey. So, I decided to come to this Mediterranean food restaurant. I had the chicken skewers salad with pita bread on the side… very tasty and healthy! It was only $ 9, a lot less than Baja Fish Tacos! It’s nice to eat in a less crowded and noisy place; I’ll be coming here more often!

The place is nice, staff is friendly, but the food is not up to bar when it comes to Turkish food. We had the lamb, the eggplant appetizer, and the mixed doner. All were below average taste, sadly. I was looking for an alternative to other Turkish restaurants in OC which are good but expensive, I will pass on this one. I prefer to pay a bit extra and get better Mediterranean food.

This place is so legit. By far the best Mediterranean food in the area. The tahini sauce is amazing and their skewer plates are phenomenal. I eat there take out once a week and they always remember my name which I appreciate. I never do Unilocal reviews but I had to for these guys, they do it right.

I got the Lamb Skewers plate and it was delicious! Cooked medium rare and juicy paired with hot sauce that’s not too spicy which is perfect for my taste. I’m definitely going back to try their other skewers plate as well as their kebabs. Also, their food is freshly made, service is great, tidy and simple restaurant. Love it!

Where else can you order freshly made dolmas, a tasty kofte skewer, and listen to Garth Brooks? Kudos to Skewers. Always freshly made food and friendly service. Just about the only thing they source out is the Baklava, which is still pretty good. James Chu

I’ve been to Skewers a couple of times now and each time I got i’m shocked that the huge line is next door at Baja Fish Taco and not at Skewers. Not to knock Baja. I have nothing against Baja. The food at Skewers is delicious and fresh tasting. I’m middle eastern and grew up going to places like Zankou Chicken. This place is so much better and so much fresher tasting. I feel like I’m really eating healthy when I go there. If you are in the Laguna Niguel area, it’s definately worth trying. Even my parents loved it and they are very particular about middle eastern cuisine.

Tender, delicious Chicken skewer served hot with pita and rice. Spacious dining area with plenty of seating indoors and out. Serves wine but I opted for raspberry iced tea. Total cost for lunch is $ 13.50

Food is authentic and delicious and everyone who works here is friendly. Must try the chicken doner. I come here a minimum of three times a week because it’s healthy food, close to home and they are so nice to me.

I checked this place out today and I don’t regret it. They have your typical medditaranean cuisine but it is a bit different. I ordered the doner kabob and it was delicious. The rice was delicious, but be warned it’s kind of buttery. The whole meal had a home cooked feel and taste. I’m surprised this place isn’t busier, I would recommend checking it out. You won’t be disappointed!

Tasty & def filled with flavor. Came in on Friday evening & it wasn’t packed @ all. Full size portions for the amount & cost it is. Made fresh & I loved the green salad. Substituted the rice for more green salad & it was worth it & got pita bread & hummus. Yah, I’ll come back.

The people were nice and seemed to be overconfidently into their food. We visited last night. I asked if their tri tip was tender enough for a kid who has a hard time chewing and the man replied with that«of course!» expression. It was so ridiculously tough that my husband and I couldn’t eat it and ended up wasting it. Do not order this. We ordered Kofta kabob and it was ok. It was tough too but definitely edible. The chicken breast kabob was dry and lacked flavor. Rice with vermicelli was flavorless. The salad, hummus, eggplant spread and pita were the best(moisture was needed) part of our meal. You failed me Unilocal.I’m being generous with 2 stars.

Been here a few times and tried a number of the main entrees, and my favorite has been the classic doner kebab. Everything from tri-tip to chicken is sliced and cooked to order before your very eyes– you really can’t go wrong with that! If you’re feeling extra hungry(their portions are generally large with rice, salad, and pita as sides) I’d recommend a plate of the delicious halloumi: Mediterranean fried cheese. One word to the wise: if you get hot sauce with anything but the iskender it will come from a fridge in a chilled plastic cup. Hot food + cold hot sauce is strange combination.

After not being able to cook for over 2 months, the thing I miss most is my own cooking. Since this is Mediterranean food, I figured I’ll try it because it’s what I grew up on. I called in an order for pick up. We ordered… Sujuk plate(spicy sausage with rice, fresh pita, grilled tomatoes and a small side salad) Side of falafel, French fries and feta filo rolls. Every single thing was delicious! My husband and I finished it all. When he picked it up, he said that the staff were super nice, everything is made fresh to order and the restaurant was clean! We will definitely be ordering here again!

Wow, some of the best Mediterranean food I’ve had in awhile ! Their Falafel was to die for. I am Vegetarian and they had many options for me. Everything was excellent from the hummus/tahini to the veggies that were freshly grilled. A++ in my book and Sez’s the manager was great and explained the whole menu to me.

Fresh quality food, the service is great! It was our first time here, we tried the chicken skewer plate and hamburger. The portions are a perfect size. Will definitely be back.

Very good and reasonably priced. Kat had chicken and I had Kofte. Both very good. We’ll be back for sure.

Eh; I know this place just opened up, but the wait was too much for a To-Go order. I was waiting for my food for 30 minutes, place was probably 1⁄3 full. The English speaking fellow who might be the manager totally went over all my food order when he called my number, but apparently someone forgot to tell him he left the Hummus out! The food was already all bagged up when he repeated my order, so I assumed everything was in there, got home and no mashed chickpeas… Id give this place another shot when they get the kinks worked out, flavors were good.

Friendly staff. You can tell it’s a new place. The set up is an order and pay over the counter and they bring it to you. Some items are already pre –made like the hummus & you can see the item over the glass. I would have liked to try their eggplant appetizer but they didn’t have it as they are relatively new. Started with the fresh/homemade hummus and warm pita bread(the bread is made at/purchased from a local bakery according to the owner). They warm it up there and you cannot tell it is not made on site. The hummus has a slight hint of garlic. I ended up adding pepper to season it up which made it delicious.(Not the best I’ve had but definitely fresh and light.) The food overall is fresh but lacks flavor(which is better than too flavorfuI I suppose) I got the chicken skewer plate which tasted home made/healthy/basic; it is not drenched in marination/oil which is a big plus. The plate includes: 4 – 5 pieces of grilled chicken breast chunks, diced red peppers and onions. You can ask for grilled tomatoes instead of peppers. A small salad comprised of diced celery, tomatoe and romaine lettuce. The rice is long grain(think Lebanese rice). Get the red«spicy» sauce. It’s not spicy. I put this on the chicken. The yogurt sauce is too liquidy(you can use this on your salad) and the tahini although thick doesn’t have much taste. There are better chicken skewer options in the area for the same or lower price. I’m intrigued by the swordfish option and may go back to try it. If you happen to be in the area check it out for yourself; it’s not bad. :)
