Captain Jacks was a great time. A lil upstairs bar gem on a busy touristy street. Henry the bartender from TN hooked us up with a special requested cider beer and Sailor Jerry’s cocktail and a local Maui seasonal beer. Gotta catch a catamaran but will be back to enjoy some delusions looking good after.

Had amazing food and killer service. See Henry at the bar, he kills it! We had the coconut shrimp and clam chowder bread bowl, both dishes were phenomenal. Also the atmosphere is great as well.
Definitely try this place you won’t be disappointed!

Ok overall, food needs some improvement.
Fish and chips, there’s a lilikoi beer batter. It was quite dense and oily but they serve a nice large portion. I like that the fries are wedge shaped, it stays soft.
Coconut shrimp, killed to death. It was so hard.
Onion rings, the panko makes it hard to eat… It was like just eating breading.
Calamari, I like the way it was cut into strips. This was actually pretty good.
Captain Cheese steak, the hoagie fell apart on me but it was filled with the good stuff. Hoagie was soft too.
Check it out if you’re in the area.

This restaurant is a great unpretentious spot to enjoy drinks or dinner. Located upstairs on front street in Lahaina town you can see the water and famous giant banyan tree. The food is good and not overpriced (by island standards). It’s a little heavy on the pirate theme, but that doesn’t detract from the experience.

Marlena and Kyle were outstanding as always! Steak and shrimp fajitas were hot and spicy just the way they are supposed to be. Try the house fire sauce for an extra kick. She had the sliders and loved them as well.

Such a great place to eat. Friendly service Excellent food and affordable prices
So many choices on the menu. Had a cheese steak the first time and it was awesome, the next had Ribeye and shrimp. Excellent cut of meat and cooked to perfection.
We liked our meal so much we joked about needing a table each night at the same time. One of the servers told our clan that if we set a time they would be sure to have a table available for us !!!
We loved the atmosphere so much we stopped back in on our way back to the hotel last night for Excellent Mangoritas and Lava flows.
The staff are down to earth polite and friendly.
We will definitely be heading back here before our trip ends !!!

Just got settled and took a walk down Front Street. Came across Captain Jacks. Have to say the best fish tacos, Mai tai’s and service. Fresh fish caught this morning, perfect start to our vacation and we will be back this week.

My friend and I came here one night to grab a drink and watch the basketball game. Really cute spot on the second floor with kind of a balcony seating with large tvs everywhere. I had their blended lava drink with strawberry purée, coconut, and rum, so good it tasted like melted strawberry ice cream. My friend had their spiked lemonade cocktail which was also very good. We just shared the calamari appetizer, it only comes with six pieces but it’s definitely worth a try. Overall friendly service, cute pirate atmosphere, happy hours from 2 – 5!

One of our favorite hangouts. great location… great view… and great food/​service! They have a nice list of beers on tap and my wife really likes the lava flow mixed drink.
Our visits so far have been during happy hour which begins at 3pm. Both times they have had live music… and the performers were VERY good! The happy hour fish tacos are very tasty (among the best I’ve ever had). The other entrée items we have tried have been very well prepared and tasty as well… very good value here so don’t pass them up!

A great open-​air pirate themed restaurant kitty corner to the big banyan tree on front street in downtown Lahaina. It’s a bit hard to find –just look for the blue stairs.
Our group (9 adults) stopped in for lunch. The menu features lots of sandwiches, wraps and salads-​something for everyone. We also had some delicious drinks and especially liked the Lahaina lemonade.
We started with the big coconut shrimp which were quite good. I had the Baja Fish tacos which were two large flour tacos with big pieces of fried fish and a flavorful pineapple salsa. My wife enjoyed the tropical fish salad. Others in our group enjoyed the ribs which were very tender. All in all the food was quite good.
The service was good although they weren’t super busy when we came by. The restaurant is open air with plenty of ceiling fans making for a delightful atmosphere.

Background — Came out to see the tree, and now need some food.
Atmosphere — On the top floor of a shopping complex. They kept the pirate theme going everywhere. I do not think the place had windows so the breeze would flow through cooling the place off.
Food
Drink — A good beer selection here. Pau Hana Pilsner from Maui Brewing was my selection today.
Food — Fish taco. The food barely stayed inside the taco. The plate comes with two taco and some tortilla chips, the meal was very filling
Service — Our waitress was great and told us about the two Maui Brewing location.
Future — Vacation time is the limiting factor but love to come back.

Megan made our lunch meal special. She gave us tips on the area and even recommended some excellent beers we should try while in Maui.
I ordered the fish and chips. The were perfectly cooked, not too much breading, and the tarter sauce had the right amount a tang. The fries were crispy and hot. The meal paired well with the Kona brewing Castaway IPA.
For a resturant in the middle of a very touristy area they are delivering good food with an excellent wait staff. Thanks Megan for making us laugh and providing us tips from a local. We truly appreciate it.

Sicherlich einer der chilligsten Orte der Welt!
Der oberen Etage des Captain Jack’s sitzt man mit Blick auf die Front Street (die wohl schnuckeligste, amerikanische Kleinstadthauptstraße Hawaiis) und Hafen in Lahaina. Alles ist offen, es gibt Deckenventilatoren, Livemusik, einen köstlichen Lava Flow Cocktail, Kellner, die ungefragt und ohne Aufpreis verwässerte Getränke austauschen, Vorspeisenteller, die eigentlich schon das Hauptgericht sind und den besten Fish Taco ever ever ever.
Auf Anraten des Barkeepers bestellten wir den Beer Battered Ono Fish Taco mit Avocado und Bacon. Dieser war so lecker, dass wir sogar noch zwei weitere Male die 45 Minuten Fahrt nach Lahaina noch zwei weitere Male auf uns nahmen, um in den Genuss dieses leckeren Essens zu kommen.
