Hospitality is second to none. No nickle & diming you w/fees for laundry, coffee, beach gear and literature to name a few. All included. Location is second to none. Beach/bay front and the Sea House is a rock’s throw from your door. Perfect for kiddos or people that want to snorkle or paddle board or just chill. Ideal…highly recommend.

We just got back from a week’s stay here. It was great. It is a small place so they don’t have all the amenities that a big resort would have but they do have a great location — literally right on the beach. All the units have Lanai/decks — most with direct ocean views, full kitchens, and are good sized — our«efficiency» had room for a queen size bed, sofa, indoor and outdoor dining tables, etc. without feeling cramped. Most of the amenities you’d miss in a large resort are right there at other resorts — restaurants primarily — and Snorkel Bob’s next door serves as a beach equipment rental(snorkeling gear, boogie boards) and will book snorkeling excursions for you if you want to see the Molokini crater(which I highly recommend you do). Also, 808 boards is right there if you want to rent paddle or surf boards. Napili beach is the equal of any other beach in this vicinity of the island. The staff are very courteous and attentive. If you need a resort with all the amenities that makes you feel like you’ve gone somewhere with tons of upscale luxury then this is not the place for you, but if you want clean, comfortable lodging literally right on the beach this is a great place to stay. And no, I’m not exaggerating when I say that this place is right on the beach — you walk across their 30 foot wide courtyard and you are literally sand-between-your-toes on the beach. That’s what we were hoping for and that’s what we got.

For our honey moon, we decided to stay at Hale Napili. This was our second visit to Maui but our first time staying here. We could not have been happier with the decision to stay at Hale Napili. Highlights: Staff is super friendly and considerate. Probably some of the nicest people we met. Accommodations are great. Rooms are clean and have full kitchens. Each room has a lanai. There is a laundry room(free except for detergent) and they have chairs that you can use on the beach. Noise Level is quite… so if your are looking for a rip-roaring party; probably not the best place. Beach(Napili Bay) great snorkeling, sand beach and depending on the tide/surf conditions; good boogie boarding. There is also the Sea House restaurant a short walk away. Great for breakfast/lunch/dinner/pupus/drinks. Hale Napili was the perfect place for us. Great staff, great location, great rooms. Definitely plan on staying here again.

This place is great. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms have just been remodeled and are top notch. Full size appliances and great network support. It’s right on the beach so you can watch the sunset while you barbecue, play shuffleboard or just lounge around. I won’t go into more detail because the previous reviewers have pretty much said it all. For great eating in the general vicinity I would suggest the Sea House for lunch and dinner and the Gazebo Restaurant for breakfast. Oh and if your friends want to see you while at Napili have then go to the webcam at Hale Napili!

Great, small hotel on Napili beach. We have stayed in quite a few«luxury resorts» and we found Hale Napili better in almost all respects. First, the staff is really warm and kind and they get to know all of the families staying there. For this reason, several of the families we met were there for their fourth or fifth year. Second, it is small and right on the beach. This means that if you want to go to the beach you don’t have to shlep down through the hotel lobby, shelp back up for your snorkel, etc. Napili beach itself is pretty great — it has kind of a steep drop going into the sea so it has a pretty fun current to play in but it doesn’t get very deep so the snorkeling is OK. Small children need to be watched closely but there were several having fun in the water. There are sea turtles hanging out on the rocks. I think the rooms have all been recently renovated. Ours was gorgeous and modern, with a new bathroom. The others seem to have different décor. Washers and dryers are free and easy to get to. This came in handy since laundry gets wet and starts to stink on a beach holiday! There are a few small resorts around there, and some shops that serve them so you really do have all of the amenities of a big resort even though they’re not a part of Hale Napili itself. For example, they don’t have any beach equipment rentals but Snorkel Bob’s is right there, as is a small convenience store. There is no restaurant/bar on the property but the Sea House restaurant is a few steps down the beach But really one fun thing to do in Maui is actually to cook — they have so many different kinds of local fish, fruit, and vegetables. The best meal we had was the one where we grilled fish for tacos on the Hale Napili barbecues and ate it with roasted purple sweet potatoes, with a starter of poke, and a glass of wine as the sun set over Napili Beach. Heaven!
