My boyfriend and I tried the heavenly Hana in the waffle cone. It was delicious! Every time I visit Hawaii, I always have to go to Lapperts. They never disappoint with yummy ice cream. It’s a definite must at least one time on your vacation. Try the specialty flavors because they are unique to Hawaii. Highly recommend for a sweet treat

Giving this place 5 stars just because they serve DOLEWHIP!!! Any place that serves dole whip gets 5 stars from me. Yep.

My wife and I were ecstatic we found our beloved Dole Whip here. We waited in a solid line that moved well. We both opted for the float version. They were made well and looked great. Our only disappointment is their choice of juice did nothing to compliment the flavor and actually hurt it. Nearby parking is a little pricey.

If you need your Dole Whip fix while you’re in Maui, you can get it here, yay! And as an added bonus, you can get it in a waffle cone. At Disneyland, you can only get it in a cup or float. Not that that’s a bad thing, but I just love the combination of the sweet, slightly tangy taste of the whip combined with the crunchy, waffly texture of the cone. I wish Disneyland would get with it and offer the same thing! They also sell very cute Dole whip t-shirts here. The women’s tee features a tiki noshing on a cup of creamy deliciousness. Parking is very hard to find which is a bit of s pain so I just had the hubby circle around in the car while I hopped out and got our cones. I also got a cup of the stuff because I liked the look of the logo on the cup. Luckily there was no line. Eat quick, though! It starts to melt right away. I love eating this stuff in the tiki room at Disneyland among all the singing animatronic tropical birds, but eating this as you gaze out at the beach in Maui ain’t too shabby, either!

The Dole Whips are $ 5.75 in a waffle cone. They’re large enough to share. Eat quickly or else it melts fast in the heat.

One of the few places you can get Dole Whip(A kind of soft serve pineapple ice cream.) Kind of expensive though.

The Dole whips here are really good! I stopped in here 3 times during the course of our vacation. Makes a perfect pit stop to grab a snack while shopping around, especially when its hot out. Fast and friendly service as well.

Can’t go wrong with a dole whip. However a few blocks down at Scoops will give you more ice cream options.

Right on the main strip so pretty expensive. They have different flavor combinations I haven’t seen in other places, makes you feel like you are on vacation in Hawaii even more. They also have dole whip!

Dole whip float… enough said. I should probably knock this down a star for not having a bigger container so I could get more dole whip, but that is a fight I need to have witchy dole not lapperts

After little luck of findings dole whip in Kauai, I Finally found dole whip in Maui! It was my first time trying it, and I thought It was good. It had a nice balance of creamy and citrusy.

Hmm. I’m not sure how to rate this place. It’s not bad… but I wasn’t really«wowed». The selection seems a bit limited and the snow cone i ordered(lemon-lime) seemed too sweet.

The Husband and I were excited to come back to Hawaii because when we went to Kauai three years ago for our honeymoon, we absolutely loved Lappert’s Ice Cream. There is one actual Lappert’s Ice Cream location on Maui(in The Shops at Wailea) and this store that isn’t an official Lappert’s location, but does sell their ice cream. They only sell their ice cream and none of their speciality ice cream creations. The store is a little oddly set up, with a tacky travel desk in front where you can book excursions and buy tickets, and the ice cream counter behind in the back. They have about 16 – 18 different Lappert’s flavors as well as Dole Whips. Scoops are on the pricey side, with a small scoop costing $ 4.75 and two small scoops costing $ 7.60. I chose a scoop of my favorite flavor«Kauai Pie» and my Husband got a scoop of the«Tutu’s Anniversary» Sorbet. The ice cream was amazing as Lappert’s Ice Cream always is, and the employees were friendly enough. We were a little disappointed that they didn’t have all Lappert’s offerings and the scoops were on the small side, but it’s the closest you’re going to get to Lappert’s on the West side of the island.

Tried the dole whip float here which is pineapple ice cream served with pineapple juice for $ 5. Was an average experience. Maybe I hyped it up so much for myself which is why I didn’t end up enjoying it as much. Ice cream was more icy than creamy. Not enough pineapple juice. Won’t be coming back.

Yum the best ice cream… The store front is a little funky and run down from the last time I was here and the service … Nothing special but okay… Whatever it’s ice cream… Eat it and enjoy it. One weird thing was they have a DoleWhip sign outside which kind threw me and first thought i5 was no longer there. The odd things is the back side of the sign says lapperts… A little thought to find this way. The travel counters in the store front is odd… Kind like a bill board of a bunch of stuff and makes for an odd setting with sales people staring you down while you Re ordering. The ice cream is great and that is the most important part… Not like your staying the night or sitting down for a 5 course meal. Enjoy.

We stopped in here because we had coupons for free shaved ice from the Lahaina Grill. The ice cream was not even close to as good as good as expected. Mine was melty and soft, my husbands was more frozen but both had that crystal, icy texture. Hit up Banyan Treats right up Front Street. So much better customer service and products.

Proof that marketing works: I first noticed Lappert’s Ice Cream in a gorgeous advertisement in the Hawaiian Airlines in-flight magazine. It was a big, beautiful image of one of their special flavors, nestled dreamily in a golden waffle cone. I could already envisage myself enjoying a big cone of this ice cream as memories of the sweet, sweet smell of a fresh waffle cone entered my olfactories. Fast-forward to Halloween night, Old Town Lahaina, 2014. Crazy Halloween festival — it was amazing to people-watch, and I decided I needed some Lappert’s from the Lahaina parlor to accompany my voyeuristic experience. Yes, it was a Friday night. Yes, it was crazy Halloween. Still, I expected more from my experience from a customer-service POV. While the ice cream did meet my «super-premium» ice cream classifications standards(I am a snob about IC) — the Kauai Pie(Kona coffee ice cream swirled with chocolate fudge, coconut flakes, macadamia nuts and vanilla cake crunch) was amazing in a fresh waffle cone was actually pretty inexpensive and truly delicious, I was peeved that none of the employees greeted me, no one thanked me for my business, and the person making the waffle cones definitely needed some help sealing the bottoms properly. It’s a good thing they place their waffle cones inside a big paper cone; otherwise I would have had a big mess on my hands. They also offer more«plain» flavors of their ice cream, as well as non-dairy sorbets, and shave ice, but I think they’re more known for their ice cream. If you want shave ice, go to Ululani’s. Apparently, if you can’t get enough of Lappert’s Hawaii, and you live in the western US mainland, they will ship their ice cream directly to you!

No Bi-Rite, but it has seriously great Hawaiian flavors such as coffee and macadamia nut. Smells great in here too. My kid had a shave ice instead of ice cream. Kids these days!
