I love this place. We were seated outside where we enjoyed our dinner with the ocean breeze and the waves breaking on the rocks. I love the lights that hang above this outside dining area. The food was realllllly good and our waiter was the best. The mango with candied ginger martini was also really good. :)

A repeat on every visit to Maui this year did not disappoint. Seafood pasta was amazing, Cioppino style with a hint of Cilantro, loaded with Seafood, it was fantastic. My sons had the standard Kobe Burger which they enjoyed as well. Mahi Mahi was also on the fresh catch and was prepared well coupled with divine mashed potatoes. Of course Mac and cheese as a side for all to sample.

Beet salad. Said they were fresh roasted but they are canned.

Beautiful ocean front restaurant. Kind of pricey but the food is excellent. They’ve got a great chips and salsa with guacamole that’s served before the food comes. Calamari was pretty good as well as the ahi tuna bruschetta. Love this place!

Favorite place we ate on Maui.
It seems like many of the places on the island serve similar, 7⁄10 seafood dishes.
Not the case at Mala. They have a great selection of creative and delicious meals. Try the ahi bruschetta (on the appetizer menu) and the market fish.
If you’re looking for a Hawaiian-​shirt-​waiter vibe, this probably isn’t for you. It’s small, cozy, with great food and atmosphere. The sunset ocean view is gorgeous

As always Mala did not disappoint, delicious Brussels sprouts are a must as they were the first Brussels sprouts I ever had that I liked! After our first visit to Mala 6 years ago at least one visit is always on the agenda when on Maui. We were a group of 5 ladies this visit and Brittany did a great job of taking care of everyone. Including a vegetarian and no spice meal.
Im just sorry I didn’t have room for dessert!

Wow what a great find! Away from all the tourist traps downtown. The food here is amazing. Best we had in Maui. Seriously you won’t be disappointed.

Yes yes a thousand times yes. Seafood here is so fresh and delicious. Place has a slight hole in the wall feel but views are breath taking. Bar is nice, has just enough seats, and the tenders make killer margs and Mai tais. Edamame purée with chips is a cool starter, and ahi tuna bruschetta is to die for. Greek salad my wife had was a monstrous portion, and my seared ahi sashimi was delish. Side of Brussels sprouts was roasted perfectly, and we saved room for the famous caramel Miranda dessert. We were tired from traveling all day but this place lifted our moods for a perfect meal. A slight mix up with the check was even handled perfectly. Going back every time I come to Maui.

Great spot to enjoy a nice lunch on the water and catch a glimpse of some sea turtles while you’re at it. Nicest staff, most delish adult Mac n Cheese, and a sick view. The food is great, but the view is what makes it 5 stars. We’ll be checking out their sister restaurant, Honu, before we leave.

Ahi bruschetta was wicked good and I am craving it.
Beautiful view, peaceful vibe, plenty of street parking… This beats resort food hands down. Hoisin short ribs for the win.

Maui, HI
This restaurant has a gorgeous view, and sits right on the water on Front St looking out towards Lanai. It is not a very big place, so it tends to fill up fast. I recommend making a reservation if you plan on coming here for a special occasion, or on any kind of a time crunch. They also have seating available at the bar.
My favorites here include a lot of sides as those are the vegetarian options, but I always leave full and satisfied. My go to choices are the hummus quartet, garlic cheese flatbread, the Gado Gado salad, Chinese chicken salad with tofu substitute, the fried tofu with peanut sauce, and the stir fried brussel sprouts.
The food is great, and the drinks are good, but I give 4 stars instead of 5 due to the lack of parking (although they have added valet), and the fact that it took me 5 times visiting here, 2 with prior reservation for ocean seating (that wasn’t honored upon arrival) before we actually got an oceanside table (we finally just had to show up super early for dinner at 4:30pm).
Tip: head next door to their sister restaurant Honu for their Lilikoi Tart for dessert! The best thing you will ever taste.

This is a hole in the wall location that is perfectly situated on the shoreline of Lahaina. Don’t be fooled about the building and the rustic feel, this place serves up incredible food. Not to mention the service level is 5-​star restaurant worthy. Actually the service here is way better than Coliccio’s Craft in NYC — they actually deliver on approachable, knowledgable Aden attentive service that Craft attempts but cannot deliver.
Clearly a seafood lovers destination, but my wife enjoyed their Kobe burger.
I will come back here again. No question.

All around great place but make sure you make reservation! That is a MUST. And easiest to valet your car. Keep eyes out for the sign near the place as it has sister restaurants — Honu and Frida.
We were early so it was nice to wait outside on the benches to enjoy the last of the sunset then they came out for us
Service was kind and attentive. Guide us well. Quartet hummus was great to start. Hard to choose so fast from each is advised! They were all differently good — ribs, fried chicken, ahi burger. Wish we could have tried a salad but so much food. We did dessert. Passion fruit sorbet was a great end. Can’t go wrong with some 18 yr old Macallan either

Great food! Came here for Sunday brunch and enjoyed the weather and the view. It was really nice in Lahaina and not too hot or dry.
We were seated outside and our server was super nice and informative.
Things we ordered that we recommend:
Oyster shots, the brussel sprouts, the burger, and the benny.
It was a really lovely day with really delicious food and an amazing service!

This place has a great view if you happen to get a table outside, right on the water, so a very beach, island atmosphere. We had great service and good food.
We started with a watermelon salad and ceviche and oyster shooter. All were yummy! The shooter was great, I could have easily had 3 – 4 of those, the ceviche was fresh, and salad was refreshing, and finally we shared a market fish. It was well prepared, great sides, but not too creative, we found a lot of restaurants do the same thing with preparation and sides, so after a few days you can get a bit bored, still nothing beats fresh local fish.
I would definitely come back for more, great atmosphere and lively.

Great customer service! Friendly happy staff greats you at the door, and the servers look like they actually like their jobs!
Delicious, flavorful, fresh, food! You even get free chips and edamame salsa dip before your meal comes out.
Beautiful view! Right on the water in Lahaina, you can’t go wrong with the nautical sights, smells and sounds of the ocean.
Moderately priced. Not too expensive, but not inexpensive either, like Goldie Locks, just right!
Mala means garden and who doesn’t want to visit a garden while in Maui?

Māla will take all of your kala (Hawaiian word for money). $ 100 for ahi bruschetta, a salad, oyster shooter, Mac & Cheese, a beer, a martini and a $ 7 non-​alcoholic mojito. This is before tip!
My mom dies for their seared ahi bruschetta. It’s also pictured on the cover of the Lahaina dining magazine. She ordered this $ 20 plate of deliciousness and slowly savored each bite.
I was really confused by the menu, I guess it’s a Mediterranean fusion restaurant?
I really wanted a salad and would’ve ordered the beet and fried goat cheese but the lady across the table had it and the goat cheese ball was enormous and I couldn’t visibly see many beets. So I went with the Greek salad. I absolutely loved my salad. The tahini salad dressing was unreal. I even asked for the rest to go and they generously gave me two sides of dressing to take home. Yum!
My dad ordered an oyster shooter and the Mac & cheese. He said the Mac and cheese at Maui Brewing Company is better.
Overall, the ambiance is what really makes this place special. You feel like you can reach out and touch the ocean. We enjoyed spotting a large turtle that was swimming in the ocean.
I personally won’t be back, but I will try out their sister restaurants.

I came here for lunch with my family while we were on vacation in Maui. It wasn’t busy so we were greeted and sat right away.
We started with this flatbread as an appetizer to share and it was amazingly delicious! We devoured it and wanted more.
I ordered a mojito which was decent and for my entrée, I ordered the ahi bolognese. I love ahi and I love bolognese sauce so I thought I couldn’t go wrong but was kind of disappointed quite honestly. The presentation was really pretty but I just didn’t like the taste, which is why I’m leaving 4 stars and not 5.
We sat out on the veranda which has an amazing view and we saw sea turtles swim by and pop there heads out of the water. You just can’t beat that. It was truly something special. I am from Orange County and you would never see anything like that.
My family all seemed to really like there food as well. Next time I’m in Maui I would come back here, but I’d order something else for my entrée.
