If Lori’s is not busy, then you should have(as we have had) friendly and solicitous service. The food we have ordered, whether for breakfast or lunch, has been consistently good, fresh, and reasonably priced — and we make it a point to eat there whenever we can. However, if the place is busy, you will find an overworked and understaffed kitchen and servers. This is a wife and husband operation. They are terrific people who care about their customers and their food. However, they can’t cope well when every table is full. If there aren’t a lot of cars parked outside, then indulge. Otherwise cut them some slack.

Wanted to give this place another try and went with 4 of us. Never again! Waited over 40 minutes for a table hoping it was going to be worth the wait and it was a huge disappointment. One bus girl and only one server? Don’t waste your time going here because that’s what you’ll be doing. We ordered the«special cinnamon bun French toast», spinach and mushroom omelet, sausage egg and cheese sandwich and bacon and scrambled eggs. The special French toast were two store bought cinnamon rolls laid on top of a horrible piece of so called French toast. My egg sandwich had egg shells in it and the omelet was nothing special. And how do you screw up scrambled with bacon? You don’t. But this place just simply sucks. Sorry. Wont be back here unless they change ownership.

Normally a great place but today was far from even decent. Waitress took my order, delivered it and offered a coffew refill never came back. I sat for quite a long time coffee less with an empty plate in front of me. I turned to get her attention and watched her for several minutes talking with customers never once coming my way. Finally I got up to pay the bill(which by the way was at the register almost as if she wasn’t coming back to deliver it to me). Terrible service today.

Great food, great and fast service. Prices are super reasonable and portions are gigantic. Definitely a must-visit spot if you live in the Hideout. Absolutely fantastic breakfast. We have yet to find something that isn’t delicious.

A hidden gem for comfort-food breakfast on a weekend morning. The staff is super friendly and coffee is always good. Not much for those with dietary health restrictions(but that seems to be the norm around the area). Some of their specials are unbelievable, like the pumpkin pancakes. My husband can’t get enough of the meatloaf and country fried steak when offered.

Lori’s Corner Kitchen is, quite simply, awesome. Granted there are not alot of options in the area, but even if there were I would still choose Lori’s. The food is always excellent, the staff friendly and efficient, prices fair, and the environment warm and inviting. Lori’s is the rare place where locals and summer people can both feel at home. The food at Lori’s is outstanding. No matter what you order for breakfast you will thoroughly enjoy it and go home not needing lunch that day! Personal favorites include omelettes, the pancakes, and the daily special(usually steak — nice breakfast portion). Burgers highlight the lunch menu, and share the plate with some of the best french fries around. Soups change frequently and always include fresh ingredients and never fail to please. The vibe at Lori’s is so welcoming — as stated before the staff do an outstanding job with the sole exception of seeming to not notice empty coffee cups.(Which they rapidly fill on request) Prices are very fair and the restaurant is always clean and tidy. Parking can be a bit challenging, as there is a gas station right out front, but if you are parking-challenged there is plenty of room away from the store. Whether you live here or vacation in the area, Lori’s is simply the best casual restaurant around.

We were looking for a new place to catch lunch and as you may know, it’s slim pickins around here… I read a couple good reviews about this place so we figured we’d give it a try… First you walk in and there’s no hostess or signs about seating(seat yourself, please wait to be seated, etc). So we stood there awkwardly for a few minutes until I flagged down a waitress to ask her if we needed to seat ourselves… We did. And we weren’t the only ones confused, I watched several groups walk in and do the same thing as us. It took about 8 minutes for someone to come give us menus… Little did we know this would be the fastest interaction of the whole experience. The prices were typical… The food was typical diner food, not bad-not great. I don’t want to bore you with details but to say the least it was agonizingly slow service. The waitress was really nice, and I know she was busy… I waitressed for a long time, I can sypothise, but we felt like we had been forgotten about numerous times. The check finally came and when we went to pay is when we found out it was cash only. Really??? It’s 2014 and you don’t accept cards?! There should be a huge sign on the door warning people that it’s cash only in this day and age where visa rules the world. Anyway, I’d never go back. 2 stars is generous. The coffee was great though. So there’s that.

My fiancé and I love coming to this place when we are at the hideout. Prices are great and the food is wonderful for the price. We usually come for breakfast and the service and good are consistently good. For lunch, the burgers were huge and tasty. The mason jars are a nice touch.

Great little local spot for a quick breakfast or lunch. Dinner is only served on Fridays from 5:00 — 8:00pm and is a buffet for $ 8.95. If you’re a local or just a weekender, this is a great place for amazing breakfasts!(Haven’t had lunch here yet.) I had a vegetable omelette that was HUGE and made to order with no problems. They even added onions to my homefries. The waitress at the counter was super nice and efficient and the place was crowded. Homemade everything!
