ABF Home Inspections

I recently purchased a home to be used as a rental property. I was given a referral for Above and Below Foundations as an inspection company. I had never had an inspection done before so I didn’t know what to expect. When the inspector showed up he said his name was Francisco, and took a few minutes to explain the process to me and what he was going to be looking for. He began his inspection on the outside of the house and I kind of followed him around to watch. He took his time to look at everything throughly and made a lot of notes. Then we went inside. A few times he actually stopped to point out some areas of concern and explained to me what I was looking at in a way I could understand since I’m not well versed in building repair. When he was finished with everything (the whole process took about 2 hours) he went over everything he had found, good and bad. It really put me at ease knowing I was not investing in something that could drain my bank account with repairs. Everything he found was minor. I received a very detailed report via email that was complete with pictures pointing out the areas we discussed at the inspection. Francisco was very polite, patient, and I feel really did a great job with the details. I will definitely use this company again for my next investment purchase and would highly recommend Francisco as an inspector.
