My wife was really excited to try items from this gluten free bakery, especially as Disney works to accommodate people like her. She said the donut was good, but very packed together and not fluffy like the one’s she makes at home, and the fruit tart was okay but the cashier had said it was a «sugar cookie base» but(per my wife) «tastes like a butter cookie instead». A little disappointing for the price.

Gluten free at Disney World?! Yes please!!! Knowing that I couldn’t risk getting sick on vacation(celiac), I packed as much food as possible into my suitcase. Lame, since the park smelled delicious :(. Then I was told about a gluten free bakery. I got the strawberry cupcake, lemon blueberry loaf, and everything bagel. The cupcake and loaf were delicious. The bagel fell apart easily but still tasted good. The sweet cashier also told me about the place next door which has gluten free options as well and they have a dedicated GF fryer. I am sure there are tons of places in DW to get amazing baked goods, but if you’re Celiac/gluten free, dairy free, and even nut free(excluding coconut since they use that and they have a disclaimer about Bob Mills sharing equipment with nuts but cleaning it) this is your allergy-friendly place.

We tried the cookie sandwich(two chocolate chip cookies w vanilla icing between) and the blond brownie with vanilla icing. Between four of us, we finished half of each and threw the rest away. Not much flavor, everything was refrigerated and cold, texture was undesirable, all in all just sweet and left a greasy feeling on the tongue. I’ve had much better from groceries store bakeries without the high price tag of $ 5 per item.

I previously had a bad experience here with an employee named Karaleina and never wanted to come back, but after waiting over an hour at Sprinkles to find out they had one vegan cupcake left(they told me they had«plenty» for my family) I came here again and I’m glad I did. The staff tonight was all different and they were awesome. Super friendly and really nice to everyone. The cupcakes were amazing, but that was never my issue to begin with and they saved us from the nightmare that was sprinkles. So 5 stars just for that! Plus their cupcakes tastes way better and they have a better variety.

Terrible service. The young girl staff basically ignores you. We went in and were patiently waiting to be assisted in front of the display for a few minutes and no one came over to help. In comes another family asking about something they were out of and then started taking their order over ours even though we were there before they even walked in. I had to cut them off from ordering because we had already been waiting. I was half tempted to tell them never mind but I definitely won’t be returning as the staff can’t figure out how to take orders properly.

I have to say I am a frosting snob. I take my frosting VERY seriously. When I saw the $ 1.50 frosting shot I HADTOTRYIT!!! I bought a classic vanilla and a Mocha– the vanilla was OUTOFTHEWORLD. It wasn’t oily, but it was quite smooth and delectable on the palate. My boyfriend liked it so much he wants it at our wedding we have yet even be engaged for! I didn’t try the baked the goods, but the line was out the door and with speaking with a few patrons they said these were the best VEGAN cookies and cupcakes they had ever had!!!

I had high hopes for this bakery in Disney Springs as I love cupcakes in Manhattan. This bakery however, was a disappointment. The service was horrible. Three girls behind the counter with no other customers in line and we were ignored. Then when we were finally acknowledged, they were disinterested in being pleasant. I ordered a cupcake and it was in a tiny Chinese takeout box which ruined the presentation factor. The taste was bland and dry. I am not likely to visit again.

This place looks super nice inside. Very clean and well lit. All the baked goods on display with a label. You couldn’t even tell that they are not normal baked goods until you ask. It’s like vegan and gluten free. The chocolate cookie dipped in chocolate was delicious. I should have heated it up. But I also got a blondie cupcake, took one bite and not good. It’s super dense and just no taste to it at all. I had to toss it. I would only come back to try their brownie cupcakes. But other than that no thanks. Not my cup of tea, that’s all.

I can’t accurately express my commitment to donuts and sweet treats in general, but is gem at Disney Springs is worth driving to. Don’t be nervous about the vegan and gluten-free tag lines because once you try it, those aspects won’t even matter. Be warned that the shop is small. During busier times it could be tricky to navigate the doorway and cash register area. Once in the case displays cupcakes, cookies, brownies, various other treats and of course donuts. I’ve had the coffee crunch, cookies and cream samoas donuts. I’ve also tried the cookies, regular cupcakes and brownie cupcakes. Occasionally cinnamon rolls are present but I did not have a positive experience with them. Besides the donuts I would have to say I’m a fan of the brownie cupcakes. If you’re ever in the area or want to go on an adventure for some good treats, definitely pay this place a visit!

We visited late in the evening and we left with only the vanilla cupcake with blueberry frosting and the French toast cupcake with maple frosting. Both of which were yummy, but not fresh. We will try them again but at a sooner time. All organic and majority is gluten free.

I’ve been a fan of this bakery since it was called Babycakes. I have both of their cookbooks, which are awesome by the way. I would drive 20 minutes to Disney Springs, go through the headache of finding a parking space and brave the crowds all for the sweet taste of a vegan cupcake. The name and location have changed but the sweets are still as delectable as ever! I have been vegan for 4 years, and i still havent found a vegan bakery that i like as much as this one! I have had a couple of negative experiences but none that i will allow to affect my overall score. However I would like to mention them here so as to give an unbiased opinion. Depending on who is working you may get a cashier who is not knowledgable or passionate about the products. For such a small shop, it should be easy to find someone who is excited to sell such a specialty product. Also there were a couple of times we came where the desserts were frozen rock solid. Not because they werent fresh, but because the temperature was just set a bit too high to prevent the icing from melting. All donuts and cupcakes are baked fresh daily. I have been here dozens of times and will continue to be coming here whenever I have a sweet tooth!

Gluten free. Vegan free. I mean vegan, haha. Tasteless? Absolutely not! This was my first visit to the bakery located at Disney Springs(aka Downtown Disney). The coffee crunch donut I partook in was delicious. It was more of a cake-y donut with a scrumptious topping of not-quite-sure-but-worth-it flavors. My main critique of the donut is to add some more coffee into it somehow, because I LOVE coffee. The 4⁄5 stars was mainly because the actual shop itself just didn’t give off that air of ‘Disney quality’ in its presentation. While the offerings were on point, I would expect at such a location to feel like I’m at Disney, hope that makes sense. I’ll be returning to try some more of their sweets. If you are gluten free and vegan, you’ll most definitely want to check it out!

It’s the best feeling in the world to eat donuts again. Usually I’m not a fan of cake-based donuts but these honestly surprised me in the best way possible. I also got a chocolate chip cookie and oh my goodness it was the chewiness yummiest cookie I’ve ever had. I’m heading back to Disney Springs before I leave so I can get some to take home with me! If you’re Vegan, Gluten-Free, or neither please go and pick some up. You won’t regret it.

Really neat little bakery, pretty easy to just walk right by it if you aren’t looking for it. It is on the other side of the building that houses the Irish Pubs. This a vegan bakery, which I think is great for Disney. Especially for kids who might have a food allergy preventing them from indulging in the million tasty treats around the parks. What was weird was this place didn’t have the usual Disney«magic.» The store was kind of messy, open tubs of frosting all over, random pastries waiting to be filled in the case, messy handwriting on the cases saying that the treats were vegan. It’s just not what you expect in a bakery at Disney Springs. On to the treats! The Somosa donut is more like a coconut pound cake than a donut. The chocolate cupcake was quite tasty and if you hadn’t told me, I never would have guessed it was vegan until I hit the frosting. When we went in(at 11:30 on a Sunday) the place was already pretty picked over. Not sure if they couldn’t stock fast enough or if what was out was yesterday’s. Overall I would definitely give them another try! They were having card trouble and accidentally swiped my Disney rewards redemption card twice, which is lame but not worth the effort of going back in to try and get it refunded.

My fiancé and I recently moved to Orlando from LA and have been struggling with the lack of vegan options in this area. To my surprise I heard about this place on an ‘eating vegan in disney’ blog and was so excited to try it! We live all of about 10 minutes away so we went down there tonight. After getting our desserts, we are left with such mixed feelings about this store. As far as the actual food itself — 5 starts! — We tried the mint chocolate cake, a blondie cupcake and a cookies and cream donut and they were all amazing. It was so nice to eat cake again! Unfortunately, the staff here… I would give 0 stars if possible. For that reason alone we most likely will not return. Your employees are the face of your business and when they are unhappy, unfriendly and flat out rude. They are destroying your business. The girl who helped us(I use that term very loosely) was named Karelaina and was clearly annoyed at the fact that she was at work and had to be bothered with customers. I get it, I’ve worked in customer service and I understand sometimes it’s not fun, but when someone comes in you don’t act like they’re a nuisance.

I honestly had no idea who Erin McKenna was. All I saw was a long line with desserts — cupcakes and donuts and bright pretty pink color. I had to check this out. It was the end of the night so selections seemed sparse to me. I picked a Samoa donut. Tasted just like a Samoa cookie, my favorite Girl Scout cookie. I tried it outside across the store watching one of the really cool musicians at Disney Springs. Yum and that was gluten free, vegan free, and sweetened with agave,?! What?! So made with harmless items, thank you. You sure didn’t taste Weight Watchers like! So good I must say. Know it is at Disney Springs if you need a sweet fix! It’s a cute little shop that has a location in NY, LA, & Orlando.

EVERYTHING good in Epcot Center has gluten. Everything. After touring the World Showcase and not being able to eat beignets, napoleons, funnel cake, pizza, fish n’ chips, and all of the items that make one’s mouth water, we finally happened upon Erin McKenna’s Bakery, in Disney Springs. I could eat anything in that store! Anything I wanted! Most of their baked goods are made with Bob’s Red Mill products. Will your average, Gluten-full eater enjoy this bakery? Probably not. Of the three items we purchased, all of them were on the dry side. Why the five-star rating? Not only was the Epcot experience a hard one for me(the not-so-proud owner of a late-onset gluten sensitivity), I had been craving a doughnut for literally the past 4 months. Additionally, I’ve tried gluten-free baking myself. It is an involved, frustrating, process that — in my case — has yet to yield a positive result. Admittedly, the doughnut from Erin’s needed that icing on the top to save it from being too dry to swallow, but I ate the whole thing. It was great to see Disney Springs have a place like this, so that a growing number of guests with dietary restrictions can enjoy themselves. Apparently there is an Erin’s bakery in LA that ships to private residences — I may be checking that out in the near future!

Omg. Erin Mckenna’s basically made my vacation. As a vegan it’s nice to just walk in a bakery and order whatever I want… something I never get to do at home. There are sooooo many yummy options, and the selection changes slightly day by day. I would recommend going earlier in the day because they run out of stuff as the day goes on. EVERYTHING I tried was delicious, and I tried almost everything! My favorites: banana bread, lemon teacake, vegetable biscuit, lemon cupcake, whoopie pie. Next time I’m tackling the bakery sink :) I cannot wait to go back! Babycakes is my new favorite bakery!

This place is AMAZING! Myself and my family have tried about 6 different cakes from here and every one was fantastic. The fact that everything is Vegan is a complete bonus. There is certainly no compromise on taste or choice just because their produce is animal free. Don’t buy your cakes or donuts at a coffee shop. Get them here and then take them to Starbucks!

I love that there is a vegan bakery in this area and that they supply to some of Disney’s resorts and parks as well. Some of their pastries are really good like their coffee crunch donut and the samoa donut. The French Toasty cupcake is a must try as well! Their cupcakes and breads, however, are not so great. The cinnamon roll was hard as a rock. I actually threw it away. Their pumpkin bread and banana nut bread tasted like diet food. Just because something is vegan and gluten-free doesn’t mean it should taste like something your diabetic grandmother would eat. The cupcakes taste like a refrigerated stale piece of dry cake. The frostings are bland and have an odd aftertaste. The only exception being the French Toasty. However, I’ve only seen that flavor twice. That brings me to my other main issue… low inventory. I’ve gone in early in the morning, mid afternoon, and evening. No matter the time of day their options are very limited. They might have a few donut flavors, only one cupcake flavor, and maybe two breads. Or two cupcake flavors and one donut. The case always looks so empty. Overall, this bakery is just OK. Whenever I’m in DS I will stop by and grab a donut because I want to support businesses that don’t exploit animals. However, they have a lot to improve on!

EVERYTHINGISAMAZING! how do I know? I bought one of EVERYTHING! The vegan lifestyle is new to us so I was feeling sad throughout most of Disney Springs.(no amazing Disney covered apple for me!) and then, at 9:00pm, we turned the corner and foudn this place! and made up for lost time! The BEST: Ginger snaps or the Samoan or Coffee donuts! yum! Loved all the cupcakes, especially toffee, but they also have cupcake tops!(if you’re a frosting lover, like my daughter!) And Anastasia, the counter girl who is not really from Long Island, was handling hte long line like a pro!

I love my sweets, I would on any given day rather have a cupcake instead of a full on meal… Which only means I would know when something is this great! These cupcakes are amazing! Vegan too! The frosting, just amazing. This one is Chocolate Vanilla and it’s just so rich in flavor and not overwhelming like most cupcakes around. Definitely a must try if you are coming to Disney springs!(Yes, the $ 5 is worth it)

This was my first time here and when I saw I had to stop in and try. Since I saw that everything is freshly baked I was hoping to have some good stuff. I ordered the lemon cake which was really good. I got a Samoan donut and it was ideally more like an old fashioned style donut but to dry and hard. Finally I tried the pumpkin cupcake and this was very moist with a silky like icing. Overall since it is Disney and a tourist area I gave it 3 stars because it wasn’t the worst but wasn’t anything out of this world. I think many of my helpers will still enjoy.

Erin Mckenna’s is my favorite stop for Ice Cream or sweets in Disney! They have Vegan soft serve with fresh toppings. I’m also a big fan of their cupcake toppers– it’s just the perfect amount of sweetness! It’s great to have a place I can take my family members with allergies and my Vegan friends.

I’m honestly confused & surprised at some of the negative reviews this place has received! For me, the cons are limited to their lack of seating– this isn’t a coffee/café/bakery you can linger in(as badly as I’d want to!)… however, this is Disney, and there is ample space outdoors to sit on benches and tables at the adjacent ice-cream shop or tea-room. On to the positives though– everything is delicious. I mean everything. My personal favorites are the loaves, specifically the cinnamon sugar loaf. As anyone with celiac or a gluten intolerance knows– it’s hard to find baked goods that are actually moist & enjoyable. They also have vegan ice-cream & everything is prepared in a wheat-free facility. Seriously, gluten-free or not(my friends couldn’t tell the difference) this place will be a staple anytime I’m in Orlando!

Downtown Disney is currently renovating, which makes getting there, and parking there, much more difficult. Gone are the days of the Disney Village, where those interested in some peace and quiet could leave a theme park, and hop on a bus to a quaint little shopping and dining area and eat some of the better food found in the Disney World complex. While the quiet and quaint are long gone, Disney is trying to make up for it with the food stars that are dotting the soon-to-be Disney Springs area(once Pleasure Island) known as the Landing. The best for allergy concerns BYFAR has to be Erin McKenna’s Bakery, an offshoot of her popular Babycakes bakery in New York City, that specializes in making high-quality baked goods without most of the most common allergens found in cupcakes, donuts, and breads(gluten, dairy, eggs and soy). Now, how does it taste? As good, if not better than you’d expect. A family with varying dietary needs will be very happy with the taste and consistency of all of the offerings, and allergy sufferers will feel like they were let loose in their own personal food paradise. All of the things we tried were outstanding, the standouts were the fun and varied donut flavors and the cinnamon-sugar toastie loaf(like a turbo-charged pound/crumb cake) which tastes as good as it sounds. To be frank, the area around these shops has little seating at this time. My hope is that the landing once construction is completed will have more for these small boutique shops with limited indoor space. We were able to find some tables near the crabhouse and Irish restaurant just a few yards down from the bakery. At peak times, finding a seat may be more difficult so get them packaged well to go. Also, DONOT try to access the Downtown Disney area after 5:00PM without a serious traffic jam in either direction due to the HUGE amount of construction and limited pedestrian access as a result. My advice, visit for a breakfast or early day treat and then find your way into the parks later. But either way, don’t miss this chance to allow your dietary limitations to take a vacation!

Cute little bakery at Downtown Disney Springs. It’s a tight space in here. A variety of sweets from cupcakes, cookies, donuts, rolls and cakes. I loved the icing! The baker told me its made of coconut cream, coconut milk, powdered sugar and salt. It’s not too sweet at all! My son liked it so much he was licking it like ice cream. The cupcake was just as delicious as the icing. Everything is gluten free.

Babycakes is BACK! I was so sad when I learned Babycakes was leaving the Downtown Disney area and so thrilled when Erin McKenna opened up in her own storefront! The bakery has two rules– make delicious treats without harmful ingredients and wear cute uniforms. And they do both perfectly! The bakery is so pink and cute with very friendly staff. The bakery selection is vast– cupcakes, cookies, breads, doughnuts, and treats– all gluten free and vegan! The treats are made with ingredients like coconut oil and agave and I just don’t know how they make such delicious treats without any of the typical processed junk offered in so many other establishments. I always choose a cupcake and they are always delicious. This time, I tried a French toastie cupcake and a thin mint cookie. Yum! Will always frequent this shop when walking around Downtown Disney and can’t deny that I won’t make a special trip out for a sweet!

Formerly known as Babycakes NYC, I can full heartedly tell you that it was the go-to place for vegan(and gluten-free) sweets that rocked your tastes buds, now… Not so much. I must say, I was sad when I found out that Babycakes NYC had closed down because of the Downtown Disney remodel and I was scared that it wasn’t going to open again. Then, when I found out it was opened again, I jumped for joy and rushed over. The store looks and feels like an actual cupcake shop which is cool. So much better than that small little counter it used to be. That’s the plus. I went in there today with a friend, who’s never had vegan nor gluten-free treats before and was hesitant to try them, but I kept talking about how great they were. I ordered two Blondie cupcakes, a cookies and crème doughnut, a chocolate chip cookie and my friend got brownie bites. I have to say, I’m extremely disappointed. The cupcakes were, cold, dry and hard, as if they were made, frozen, semi-thawed and then sold. The doughnut was crumbly, dry and overly sweet. Lastly, the cookie was very hard and not good. In addition to that, they hiked up the prices of all of the pastries but didn’t seem to hike up the flavors or quality. As a vegan, I’m happy that places like this exist because it shows other people that they can still enjoy all the things they love on a vegan lifestyle and that’s the only reason I’m giving it two stars. But Babycakes… I mean, Erin McKenna’s is not what it used to be and needs to step it back up!

If you’re looking at Erin McKenna’s Bakery and thinking«oh look, one of those crazy doughnut shops» you’ll be disappointed. If you’re thinking«wow they offer gluten free, dairy free, egg free, and vegan baked goods that look pretty good» then you’ll probably walk away satisfied. Upon first glance you see sinfully titled doughnuts such as cookies and cream, samoa(in honor of those yummy girl scout cookies), and coffee crunch. Here’s where it gets tricky. If you are like me and don’t appreciate the gluten free or vegan aspect, their fancy doughnuts seem somewhat bland. In the end, they won’t knock your sweet tooth out. If you subscribe to a diet which typically doesn’t permit baked goods or confections you will be absolutely blown away. In regards to the stars I gave them, I’m comparing them to other bakery/doughnut shops so they only get 3. If I was vegan I probably would’ve given them 5.

How phenomenal having a bakery with so many gluten free items in the heart of Downtown Disney. I was over the top impressed with the taste of every item we tried. Prices are steep compared to a traditional bakery, but being in this prime location coupled with the high quality GF ingredients and the prices start to make sense. Erin McKenna needs to open up a bakery in Austin.
