Sterling RV

Going through my motorhome and ran across my paperwork for work to be done at Sterlng RV and just could not help but come back here to check their ratings out. Its true, from the people that say they did not get the deal they went for. I got the same thing. See hidden reviews and Unilocal has mine there so decided to write this again. They did not try to settle anything with me or return any money as I had to have repairs they did not do or did not do correctly. What a pair of people, Doug and Joe. My advice, STAY AWAY. You will have a much better experience elsewhere and most likely save money too.

Sterling RV has been my Go-​To RV repair facility for over three years now. We have an 09 Holiday Rambler Endeavor, a 41′ diesel pusher. As it is a high-​line rig, we are particular about who we trust it to for service and repairs. While nobody is perfect, Sterling is as practically close to that as we have experienced. In our experience, nobody else is really in their league. They have a huge facility. They have completed paint work, AC replacement, refrigerator repair, floor installation, hydraulic leaks and major service completely to our satisfaction. Their skill at determining root cause for problems is unmatched. We had a battery charging issue that Colton Garage was struggling with. And they are really good! Was a grounding issue in the Echo Charger that Joe diagnosed after about an hour. Our rig had a lot of steering play, which we thought normal. Doug drove it and found that the steering box was incredibly loose. Steering is very tight now, and feels almost like our Mercedes. We trust Joe and Doug and their crew to fix the rig right and charge a fair price. And they back their repairs. Nobody else comes close to Sterling’s capabilities and competence. Which is why we travel 100 miles to them.

Joe was able to diagnose (for free) a problem we were experiencing with our RV that no one else (2 other shops) we took it to could diagnose. We decided to trade in our RV for another newer model they had on consignment on the lot. The whole deal was handled very efficiently, professionally and competently by Doug and Joe. They delivered on all agreements/​promises and we are very happy with our experience with Sterling RV. We normally hate going to RV dealers, but this was such a pleasant experience. No hype, no bull, no pressure. Thanks Doug and Joe.

I’ve been working with Doug and Joe at Sterling RV since purchasing my RV in October 2014. Finally after dealing with other RV service companies in the area I found a dealer /​maintenance center I can trust to get the job done. They really know what their doing and are more than fair with their rates.
If you are in need of service or paint Sterling is the place to go and if you’re looking to buy I would absolutely recommend Sterling.

Doug is only telling half of the story. We had gone and looked at the RV on a Thursday later in the day. When we settled on this RV it was around 5 pm it was already dark outside and they close at 5 pm. We said we could come back the next day for a test drive and to confirm the age of the tires. Doug explained that he would not be there on Friday but would be back in on Saturday. We said we would see him Saturday morning. We also said we had some of the money in our local bank but would have to transfer the rest from another account but we could money down if needed. We were told not to worry about it. On Friday we spoke numerous times with Doug trying to settle on a price. Doug would get our offer and talk with Joe his partner as well as the owner of the RV. We finally all agreed on a price Friday evening and agreed to be at Sterling RV Saturday morning at 11 for final test drive and to sign papers. Around 930 Saturday morning Doug called to apologize that the RV was sold to someone else. I can appreciate the owner of the RV wanting as much as they can get for the RV, however both of the owners of sterling RV (Doug and Joe) new that there was already a verbal agreement on the sale and should never have shown the RV to anyone else unless we backed out of the deal or failed to show up which we did not due. As far as bringing all offers as Doug says this is true until an offer is accepted and it was accepted by the owner of the RV and both Doug and Joe where aware that it was accepted

I found Sterling RV when my trailer water tanks were leaking. All the RV dealers would only change them at $ 1200 each, Sterling RV was able to do the repairs on both tanks with repair tanks and replace valves for $ 200 and had it finished in three days, one day waiting for the new valves. Thanks

They went back on a deal we made over the phone with the owner. I would say make sure to stay clear of this RV dealer… Also tried to offer us 100 dollars. Can you believe that, What a joke!!! I would give them no stars but this site will not let you… Sterling RV …

Left our motor home for an awning repair that was to take a few days. Calling on day 3 we were told he could not find parts and would take old parts off another coach. Every time you call you will wait until the next day for return call if you get one at all. Every time we questioned the progress we got another story right up to the point when we retrevied the coach and got 3 different stories within 10 minutes. I would not trust these people with my motor home repairs.
