When I saw that this place had opened, my first thought was that it had reopened, and I was going to skip it. So I went online, and it appeared that this was a different place. Well, it sure is. The menu has something for everyone. I love RIBS… so I chose the Back ribs, with mac and cheese and veggies as the sides. I will save the best for last. Mac and Cheese. Good, cheesy, not fake, not to wet, and seasoned. Yum! Veggies, green beans sauteed with garlic and honey. OMG, I could have just eaten those and the mac and cheese and been in ovo-lacto veggie heaven. OK, so now the ribs… three sauces to choose from, Mild, Hot and Sweet. I am NOT from the PNW so I don’t need something to be on fire to prove my manhood. I chose sweet. First rule in good ribs… can you eat them without the sauce. The answer is YES!!! Smoky, tender, juicy, flavorful, and TONS of meat! I ordered the full rack, because for the additional $ 7 I thought it would be worth it, as I could have this for two meals. I was assuming that I would have thin, wimpy ribs. These are NOT thin, wimpy ribs. These ribs have TONS of meat on them. TONS. I could not finish the half rack. I ate until I was in pain… and could not finish half the rack.

If you know your«Q», this ain’t it. Having traveled all over the U.S. visiting BBQ institutions and as certified KCBS judge, I was dismayed to have to toss my «Dorfman Platter». One of my pet peeves is when the membrane isn’t removed from the back of the ribs. BBQ is judged on Appearance, Tenderness, and Flavor on a scale from 5 – 10(10 being best). Mainly, it lacks enough smoke flavor. My scores adjusted for restaurant quality: Appearance: 8 Tenderness: 7 Flavor: 6

This place is amazing. I’ve lived in the area a better part of 10 years and though they haven’t been around that long, I can’t believe I waited this long to come here. The staff is friendly. The food is amazing. We(3 of us), had a half rack of bbq ribs, The Rock Dawg(chopped brisket topped with coleslaw), sweet potato froes, Mac and cheese and collard greens. We finished our experience with beginets… delicious! We will be back!

We ordered ribs and brisket. The ribs were a 10. Great smoke flavor, fall off the bone tender. Best without sauce because the sauce masks the great pork flavor. Oh, and the ribs were meaty. The brisket was not quite as flavorful. We give it a 7.5. You can tell the brisket is Smoked for a long time because it’s very tender. However, they need a dry rub with more punch. This place is a definite, «we’ll be back» restaurant

This is my second favorite BBQ place by far! We used to go to Rainin’ Ribs, and it was good but nothing like it is now. The catfish is my favorite! We’ve been here multiple times and every time we have enjoyed it immensely. They are even dog friendly, so our Great Dane puppy got to enjoy this place as much as we did! We have also gotten the brisket, pulled pork, ribs, and some chicken. Everything has good flavor and very delicious. The best side dish is definitely the sweet potato fries!

Absolutely amazing! As a southern girl looking for a taste of home this place satisfied that craving! Great customer service and a beautiful view to boot! I’d say it even gives some of the places back home a run for their money. Their pulled chicken is so tender and juicy and the gumbo is rich and hearty! You really can’t go wrong here.

One of the best BBQ joints in Seattle. I love this place. This place is so darn delicious. They have some of the best brisket ever. The one that I get is the chopped brisket sammy. Deciding that is not the difficult part. What’s more challenging is deciding which sides to get. You only get one with the sammy, but you could always add on more if you want. One sammy and a side is pretty filling as is, so with deciding one side out of their many sides is hard since all of them are so tasty. The staff is always super friendly and welcoming, and I enjoy chatting with them a little before I head over to the side room to find a table. The time to get the order feels a little slow considering the number of patrons is usually not high, but it is definitely worth the wait.

Amazing. Holy cow. Or pig. Best BBQ I’ve ever had! So happy that they are dog friendly, how unexpected. Our Rottweiler Ursa was loved by all!!! These people care about their customers. We were treated so well here! Amazing baby back ribs!!! Amazing baked beans! Everything was great. Seriously zero complaints. Just wish we had more room in our tummys!!!

So worth the drive where ever you are… good selection of bbq meats but the sides are from scratch and very tasty. We shared and selected chopped brisket and collards, sweet potato frues, mac/cheese, baked beans and Hush puppies. I give you folks 10 stars for outstanding customer care and for the surprise beignets.

I will start by saying wow really clean place and really great service! 5 star service. There must have been at least 5 people who were really nice and kept checking to make sure I had everything I wanted or needed. I got the ribs and brisket as well as the beans and hush puppies. The ribs were cooked perfectly with lots of meat the seasoning was good 4 stars. The brisket was not as good, not enough fat either from cooking to long or not a great cut of meat. That left the brisket very tough and slightly dry. Still good but only 2 ½−3 stars. The beans were tasty and spicy a solid 3 – 4 stars. They have quite a few different sauces and none of them were to my taste but the ribs did not need any sauce. The hush puppies were a disaster 1 star. Not because of the batter or taste but because they cooked them in oil that was not hot enough. The result was boiling oil balls!!! I burned the crap out of my mouth. I waited to eat them as I knew they were hot but there was so much hot oil inside the puppies that they were deadly! Even after breaking them open and putting them on many many papper towels to soak up the oil they were still ridiculous. Fix your fryer guys. I did let you know about your issue as I would like to try them again the next time I come.

Only 100 times better than the previous BBQ place that was here. I haven’t tried everything, but so far so good. It is a little expensive for BBQ, IMO.

So F’n good. This is unequivocally the best BBQ in Seattle. I have driven to the far reaches north, south, & east(west is just water) and nobody is hitting the nail on the head with every dish like these guys. The ribs are smoked to perfection and all of the sides are delicious. And what BBQ joint shows any care to service after you order from the walk-up counter? These guys. Hands covered in sauce and you are out of beer and voilà someone is there to get you another. I can’t wait to go back.

I’ve been a customer from Rainin Ribs throughout it’s suspected changed in management/ownership and anybody who rode it out: Original Rainin Ribs: Fantastic The noticeable change in operation: Good Brileys: Above fantastic I patronize the hell out of this place and simply said; order any of their offerings, any. Thank the Lord Seattle has a BBQ restaurant that is not highfalutin. I have tried a lot of the BBQ places around here that get 4 – 5 stars such as Roro’s, etc., and by comparison, if possible, Briley’s would be 8 stars total for food, service, offerings and facility. Also, unlike Roro’s or any of the wannabe places in Capitol Hill, as a customer you get welcomed vs. having some hipster behind the counter think the world evolves around them.

Friendly service, tasty BBQ, great for kids, tiny parking spots. I like the change from Rainin Ribs. It feels a bit more trendy and I kind of like trendy(chalkboard menu, paper on the wall beer and wine list, utensils and things in mason jars on the tables). All the meat we tried was flavorful and moist. I didn’t like the baked beans because they were more of a savory vinegary style and I like the sweet and cheap from a can style(I know I know…). My husband loved them. OH and they have gluten free beer! Now to add gluten free buns and it would be just perfect!

So glad that BBQ is back up north! We checked them out on opening day. Ordered to go for 4 and got a very health serving of delicious BBQ and sides. We got a couple of the pulled pork sandwiches, the brisket topped with coleslaw sandwich(the rock) and the catfish basket! The BBQ had great flavor and wasn’t too dry. Also traveled home great without making the bun super soggy. The sauces were slightly sweet with a little bit of a kick! Would love to see one with even more kick in the future! Each sandwich comes with a side. Was impressed with the catfish too! Lightly breaded with big chunks of catfish. Enough for two people to share. Also comes with two sides. We tried multiple sides including the sweet potato fries, mac n cheese, cornbread and coleslaw! My favorite… definitely the mac n cheese! It had a peppery flavor and wasn’t too rich! We will definitely be back! Improved beer selection and super friendly service too! Check it out if you are looking for delicious BBQ and a nice view of Lake WA!

We heard great things about Briley’s after grand opening and weren’t disappointed with our visit! The ambience is very casual — very«BBQ» with open tent and picnic tables. Nice view of Lake WA on one side. We went for the food, which was amazing… my wife and I split a rack of Baby Back Ribs, along with Mac n Cheese and corn bread for sides… WOW. The sauce/rub wasn’t spicy, but flavor was incredible. The mac was just OK, but cornbread was to die for… I normally smother mine in honey, but this didn’t even need it! Soooooo good. Not a beer person? No problem — Kyle used to be sommelier at Café Juanita and knows his wine. Can’t wait to go back and try the brisket!!!
