This was the absolute worse experience I’ve had with customer service. The waitresses ignored me for a long time before they took the order and then when i went to pay they guilt tripped me into a tip. I couldn’t believe how they behaved. The only reason they got a two is because their food was semi decent. We ordered the all you can eat and only the marinated chicken was good. The soup was ok too. Will never go back.

If the owner still behave the same way, this restaurant is gonna die in his hand. I used to come here every week, sometime two or three times a week. I used to love this place. Then one day the owner start a all you can eat menu with three prices options. Fine, I can live with that. But then the portion start getting smaller and smaller… And next thing you know, you got threw out of this restaurant because«you eat too much«. Even your 2 hours is not finished. I mean. This places doesn’t even have a time limit in the past… I really wanna this restaurant to be good. But if the owner, yes, the male owner keep messing with this place, I will never come back.

I was hesitant due to mixed reviews but was pleasantly surprised. They never hesitated to refill our meat tray. Pork belly was great and then sauces flavorful. My kids loved the bulging And husband could not get enough of the spicy. We will definitely be back. Waitress was pleasant and friendly

Who doesn’t like Unlimited Korean BBQ? If you’re looking for a solid Korean BBQ for dinner, this place will not disappoint you. The prices might be a bit higher than Palace Place, but I enjoy the services here much more. The foods are solid. Regardless of charging $ 30 for small selections of meats, they already have all the things that you want: Pork Belly, Sliced Beef, Marinated Beef, Short Ribs and Squid/Shrimps. I’m not a big fan of Spicy Pork because it takes too long and hard to see when it’s done cooking. The sides dishes are not that great here, but their soup is good, which is making up for it. One of their random side dishes was Mac Salad that you can’t really get from other Korean places. But I’m telling you(unless the restaurant is real packed), the staffs here do a great job at giving you buffet service. They refill your drinks, refill your meat, rice, sauce and side dishes, change your grill and even cook for you sometimes. They know what they are doing if they can keep up with the amount of customers. I just wish that the place isn’t too cold in the winter and either reduce the price down a bit or increase variety/quality of the food selections for $ 30+tax+tips. Just giving you a heads up that it’s 2 hours limit! So, either eat fast or cook a lot at a time. If only I don’t live far, I would rather go to Korean places down Federal Way.

Horrible service sometimes :| the lady there has terri le moodswings. I’ve been here 3 or 4 times and there was one time where she was delightful, but only once. Menu food per person is garbage but the bbq is very nice. Order the set 1 and pork belly.

This place is pretty good for the price. You can get a lot of variety for a good price. Much cheaper than the Korean BBQ place down the street. The only thing that I can’t get over is that the service is pretty slow. I mean the lady is doing her best but it’s just one lady… serving like 10 tables. What do?

One of my favorite barbecue places in North Seattle. Great to bring a group of friends BBQ at the table drink beers and have a great time. Make sure you order the BBQ at the table as well as the seafood pancake is quite delicious.

I absolutely love this place. Came here with my best friend first and service was great and it was my first Korean BBQ in years. I came back again to bring my boyfriend for his first time! The ladies were fast and attentive(that’s how waiters should be). Also we always go for the all you can eat. Reasonable prices for the amount of meat and unlimited sides. Can’t wait to come back !

A little bit of background, I’m half Korean, and grew up eating homemade Korean food plus I’ve gone to most Korean restaurants in South Tacoma/Federal Way/Seattle/Lynnwood. My boyfriend and I came here on Friday night. We didn’t get the barbecue, since we were craving soup. I ordered the yuekaejjang(spicy beef soup with green onion, egg, and glass noodles), and he got the beef soonduboo(soft tofu soup). They were really delicious! Yuekaejjang is really hit or miss at restaurants, so I was pleasantly surprised. It had so much flavor. My boyfriend really loved the soonduboo. The panchan(side dishes) were few, but delicious! I would pay for their pasta salad. haha. Service was great, the ladies working were really sweet and easy to get a hold of. They checked in every once in a while, not hovering, and they refilled our hot tea without us even having to ask! I would definitely go back!

I got kicked out with over half an hour left on my 2-hour all-you-can-eat session. The male owner said that I ate too much and told me to get out. This happened back on July 10th, 2015. I was a regular up until then. Fortunately, the lady owner came out and gave me more food, but the male owner got all pissy and stood there while I was cooking and eating. He even made me put everything on the grill so I could leave sooner. Besides that: Food is okay(could be marinated a bit more). Service is decent(super fast half the time, superslow at times, and one time they kicked me out while eating). Price is so-so. Portion that they bring out is actually pretty good(but it does get smaller as the time goes). I also saw that they let you grill in a non-vented area when the place is full. The place became pretty smokey quick. I could care less about it, but I thought it’d be good to know. If I didn’t get kicked out, I’d probably still be a regular.

Pretty good all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ joint by the house! Located in Shoreline, the restaurant itself is pretty modest, but plenty big enough to handle a lot of people. They have a regular seating area on the left side of the restaurant when you walk in, or the BBQ grill tables on the right. We opted for the grill, as we wanted to try the AYCE. We ordered the #2 option and were happy with what we received. All of your typical Korean side dishes and the meat consisted of pork belly, a few beef options, chicken, and pork. We left stuffed and happy. We’ll be back. Unfortunately, our range hood was out of order so the inside of the restaurant got pretty smokey and hot. We looked past that as the food was tasty and service was good!

I am a huge fan of all you can eat Korean BBQ and I usually go the joints in Federal Way(Palace, Kum Kang Sang, Shin Sung, etc.). I was in Northgate and didn’t want to drive all the way south to satisfy my cravings so I found a couple places in Shoreline. This was the first place that popped up on my Unilocal search so I decided to try it. PROS: Ambiance: Nothing too fancy. Plain, simple and clean. Smaller establishment. Very quite. When we arrived on a Sunday night, there were only two other groups dining there(that should have been a clue). Price: The all you can eat menu has three selections depending on what type of meat you want. Prices range from $ 19.99 to $ 29.99. Service: Average service. Since it wasn’t so busy, everyone was pretty attentive. We got our refills on the side orders pretty quickly. CONS: Food: Sad to say I was very disappointed. We ordered the #2 all you can eat choice which consists of pork belly, marinated beef, marinated pork, marinated chicken and beef brisket. The order came with a variety of side dishes, jasmine rice, dipping sauces and soup. The soup was actually pretty decent. Great flavor, steaming hot with the right amount of spices where it wasn’t too spicy. All the sides were decent. Less sides than all the other restaurants that I have been to. The Kim chi was a little in the sweet side. However, the cucumber salad was very refreshing. All the meat were mediocre at best. The marinated beef was very tender but overly sweet. The chicken was marinated in teriyaki seasonings. The first few bites were good but after a few more bites it got way too sweet. The marinated pork is usually my favorite item but there’s was less than mediocre. The pork was drenched with seasoning paste and it was over spiced. All I tasted was paste. TIP: All you can eat is good for only 2 hours. Overall, everything was overly sweet. I’ll probably stick to Federal Way for some food KBBQ.

Grill King? More like Grill Loser! I only gave it a 2 star because the server was fabulous. Prices: There’s 3 different levels so don’t go in here thinking everything will be for $ 19.99. Meat: We got the $ 24.99 and let me tell you quality was crap. Not that much flavor and the cut is terrible. Our pork belly shrank to the size of my thumb. Everything tasted blend! It was extra charge for even the jalapeños and garlic. I’m used to getting that for free at every other k bbq place. I’m never coming back. Don’t waste your time. Go to Lynwood or Palace in Bellevue if you crave all you can eat.

As much as it pains me to say this, the Grill King is a solidly 3-star place if you are really craving KBBQ. I came here on Valentine’s Day with my sister and her husband, so needless to say I was not looking for any romantic vibes from a restaurant that night. Have no fear, the Grill King certainly hit the mark on that front. The place was about half full but for some reason they put us at a table that did not have a built-in burner, despite the fact that we were doing AYCE. Not sure if it was because we were white? It took FOREVER for us to get our drinks, which was really annoying since we werre super thirsty. In fact, we didn’t actually get our drinks until after they started us out on our food. The banchan were okay, but gave us really small portions the first and second time. Finally, the last time we asked for more, they gave us larger portions. Maybe they thought we wouldn’t like them so didn’t want to waste the food on us? We went with the middle option for AYCE, which was chicken, pork pelly, marinated pork, beef, and maybe one other thing. They gave us a ton of pork belly, probably about half of the meat. This was a little annoying since my sister doesn’t eat pork so it was just 2 of us trying to get through it. Plus, it is super fatty and I don’t want to be stuck eating my weight in pork fat. They won’t give you more meat until you finish everything, even if you just want some more chicken. Really annoying. Overall, we all left full, but not exactly satisfied. Maybe I am spoiled living on the East Coast near an enclave of tons of amazing Korean options, but I was just not that impressed with the Grill King.

Best Korean bbq ever ever! Traditional Korean bbq, the same as what I had in Korea :) No more words for food, it’s just super delicious and enough amount and worthy that money :) Like the people there, I’ll promise the waitress that I’ll come back^^

My sister knows the owner of this place and never fails to comment about how she used to eat here 3 times a week when she was preggo! Seriously though, it’s that good! You can never go wrong with Korean BBQ& this place does Korea great justice when it comes to food. Interior design wise. it looks a little bit rundown but the atmosphere is chill and I’m always okay with chill. Plus, I love how it’s a 3 minute drive from our place. Sundubu is a must have for us all the time. The proportions are a good amount for the price. I believe they always close at ten. Not sure, but if you plan on self bbq’ing your food, you need to be there at at least 8:30, not 9.

So their price on the website is NOT what the menu reflects. The price on the website is 18.99. Their menu shows three different price tiers depending on the type if meat you order for the all you can eat. Totally misleading just so they can bring people in for meat sweats. Granted it is only a dollar difference between what it says on the website and the first option, but they’re pretty much lying to bring people in. EDIT: The meat was overcooked. Ha, just kidding, I overcooked the meat because my boyfriend and I went for the AYCEBBQ. Our server, Jenny, was a sweetheart. The only reason why this place got any stars was because the food was delicious and Jenny was very nice. The whole price thing ruined the experience. We went for the first choice of BBQ which only gave us three choices of meat. The AYCE experience I“ve had in the past had quite a bit of selection, so this wasn’t as fun. Will be trying Arirang when we no longer have meat sweats.

I haven’t had Korean Barbecue ever since I left Korea for university in US. Never thought I would find an authentic place with a reasonable price around Seattle. Get the all you can eat option and its worth what you are paying for. You will get a selection of quality meat which includes Korean style marinated pork, chicken, beef, bacon and many more depending on the set menu you are paying for. With the addition of a few bucks you can get the llettuce, chilli, garlic, bean paste and much more for the full Korean experience. All be sure to wear something you don’t mind getting the smell of the food on. It’s a barbecue place so just keep that in mind :)

I was recently on a mission to introduce the BF to KBBQ and thought an All-You-Can-Eat place would show him the ropes. I’m Korean and rarely seek out All-You-Can-Eat KBBQ places(I think this is normal???) so I had to do a lot of research. With that being said, I obviously wanted to leave a good impression but didn’t want to venture too far(AKA not Lynnwood or Federal Way), so The Grill King was a decent compromise. I will admit the reviews sketched me out a little, but most worries were put to rest upon our dining experience. We ordered the #2 – $ 18.99 per person(Pork Belly, Thin Brisket, Beef Bulgogi, Spicy Pork Bulgogi, Marinated Chicken) since we were looking for variety. The meat quality wasn’t rave-worthy(pork belly was thin) but perfectly acceptable, especially for All-You-Can-Eat. The side dishes were also fine – you get quite a bit, and the kimchi was of the fresh/salad-esque/non-fermented variety which is a plus for me. Our waitress was super attentive and regularly checked in with us, asking us if we needed more meat, side dishes, etc., which was awesome since that kind of service is unheard of at Korean restaurants. The few things that bummed me out were the metal electric grill(they’re usually over charcoal or cast iron) that stuck to the meat a bit and there was no salad/veggies to wrap the meat :(
