This is an amazing place to get a haircut. The owner John is very professional and always does a wonderful job. I always get many compliments after he cuts my hair. Today my son received a haircut from John. He did a wonderful job. My son is usually never happy after a haircut but today he was impressed with John’s ability. I highly recommend this Salon. The stylist are amazing and the Salon is beautiful.

They open at 8AM on Saturday’s. How cool is that?!
This is a new fresh clean joint. So far there hasn’t been a wait both times I have gone there. I hope more people find out about this place so they stay in business.
All the staff are very happy and welcoming.

Very happy with this place. Took my kids in for cuts when our regular stylist left, and have now switched myself over as well. John did a great job with my cut and color and I’ll be heading back soon for my touch up.
I love that this is a local owned business and that I frequently see John supporting other businesses in the area as well.

They have only been open for a few months
Place looks great
Clean and Fresh
They did a great job and I will become a regular customer
They are cheaper than my regular place which is a bonus but I would pay more even if they raised the prices
They weren’t busy today but I am sure that will change once people find out about them
I hate going to big chains and this is a true ma and pa type of place

Incredible Find!
I heard about this new salon (next to B of A) on El Toro. I needed a haircut and didn’t want to wait weeks to make an appointment in another salon. What a find! I walked in and Lyn took me right away. She gave me a beautiful layered cut. Their prices are an incredible value — shampoo and cut $ 15! She said that until the end of the month that they are having a color and cut special for $ 50. The salon was clean, new, light and bright. I was greeted immediately and offered coffee. I’m tempted to keep this treasure to myself, but this place deserves to be shared.

I found myself banking at BofA in the same shopping center. When I came out of the bank, I saw Great Cuts and thought «I really do need a haircut, might as well give them a try». Wow! This was one of the best haircuts I have ever had. John was able to see me right away and the whole process was so quick… which (being a guy) is just how I like it… I’m in, get ‘er done, I’m out. After shampooing my hair, he gave me the trim I wanted and then a hot towel to wipe my face. He cut my hair in less than half the time of my current stylist. I’ve never been given a hot towel before, but it makes total sense — to wipe off all the little pieces of hair that fall on your face. Why doesn’t everyone do this? Great place — clean, free coffee, TV to watch if you have to wait, ample parking, etc. This is my new haircut salon.

This crew really takes care of their customers! The space is very nicely decorated and EXTREMELY clean, which is important to me. The owners are kind and friendly, courteous, and highly skilled. From the fabulous hair cuts to the relaxing hot towel after, you will enjoy your experience here very much. Prices are right in line too. They have my business for sure, and I hope to spread the word on how good this place is!

Started coming here after going to another place where a lot of the hair stylists worked previously, then John opened this place and many of the stylists followed him. It’s a nice clean place, and they do a great job for a great price. I’m not one that has a certain kind of hairstyle, so rather than going to the other salons that would charge me $ 30 bucks, I come here and get the same exact cut for $ 15, that allows me to give a bigger tip! They give you a cut as well as a shampoo and a warm towel on the face while shampooing your hair! Really nice people here and really good service. Brand new, modern and clean!

I had a great experience today that I would like to share. I have been going to the same hair guy for last 12 years but he is out of town for family and I needed a cut. I have to admit I was worried I might get a bad cut not knowing what I was in for but decided to stop in here rather than look scruffy. Amazing, I had a great experience. First off the place is very clean and modern. The staff are friendly and speak English. I only waited a few min and was greeted back by Pat one of the stylists. He was very nice and very professional. Likeable guy we had a good conversation while he cut my hair… I have to admit I think he did a better job than my regular hair guy. So I will be going back to see pat and I’m thinking I might just make the switch permanently. Thanks for a great haircut pat.

What a great place! I could not be more satisfied with my experience. Walked in and was greeted from everyone who was there. After signing in I enjoyed the big screen tv and clean atmosphere around me.
Once I was seated I received the best hair cut I have had in quite along time! John the hair stylist and owner hooked me up with straight lines and an even cut that looks great. Also included was a shampoo and a Hot Towel!!! You Don’t find that to often these days.
Glad I could find a local independent hair salon that cares and provides exceptional customer service!
I will be back soon and recommend to everyone I know!

The moment you walk into this place you are greeted promptly and people are so friendly. The décor and the vibe is clean and fresh… real top notch!
I got a great cut and style by John. He is a very talented, creative, experienced and attention to detailed stylist. Next time, I will get him to do some color. He did an amazing cut that I get all sorts of compliments. I would highly recommend this place for sure! Go now, because they have a $ 10.00 cut until the end of 2015.

I’ve been a customer of Lyn’s for many years and was pleased that she (and John) have now opened their own place.
Their new shop (next to Walgreen’s) is bright and cheery, with complimentary coffee while you wait.
I’m always pleased with the haircut I get from these two.

I just took my boys in to get cuts for the three of us (we have been customers of Linh and John’s for a long time now). The shop looks great! Nice bright colors, open space, a comfortable waiting area complete with water, coffee, snacks, and a flatscreen TV– it’s a great setup. The cost of cuts is very reasonable: just 9.99 each. Also, the hair products they sell at Great Cuts are less expensive than other places. My family will keep coming back to Great Cuts, and you should too.

What a great experience! The staff are incredibly nice. It was a great experience from start to finish. It starts with a shampoo, follows by a cut, and then finished with a hot towel. They know what they are doing here. I’m excited for this this salon.
When you get your next cut, head down there and you won’t regret it.

This is best inexpensive hair salon in lake forest. John and Lynn are very impressive stylists and very nice people too. Unlike the other Great Clips or Super Cuts they provide hair washing, hot towels and i was told they do coloring as well. Furthermore, they provide a very comfortable waiting area with complimentary coffee, water and TV (usually playing kid friendly movies).
I used to go to John at his old location but I feel he (and Lynn) have outdone themselves and really provide a great experience for something as simple as a quick hair cut.
