Not really sure what these other people are talking about, I got great service with unbeatable prices. I had specific questions and they were able to answer them. They even extended the quoted price a week so I could find a way to transport my new TV.

Tried this place out since I googled search «lamp store lake forest» and this came up first and was nearby. Went in and was not greeted even while the 2 workers were staring at me awkwardly. Also it was very hot inside, I assume they don’t have air conditioning so don’t expect to be there too long. A simple «hello» would of sufficed. As I approached the counter one of the workers got up, and assisted me. I had asked if they had any lamps of particular and he said that they had no lamps for sale at the moment, I went ahead and got the black light bulbs I needed for my business. I asked for specific light bulbs that would cause that «club» scene, the ones where white color would glow under the light and he assured me that the ones he has were correct. I went ahead and bought 9 and took them back to work. Tried all the light bulbs and none of them were how I asked, it emitted nothing, it was practically a regular lightbulb with a dimmer light. They were either not black light bulbs, or horrible ones. I went to the 99cent store and bought the 1 dollar black lights and they work much better and heck they were cheaper too. I decided to go back in and return them. The same guy was working there and I told him that I wanted to return these lights as they weren’t what I wanted. I had brought him a lightbulb I got from the 99cent store to see if I can exchange the bad bulbs for something like the others I bought and he said that no and went ahead telling me that the bulbs I bought from him were the right bulbs. He was giving the biggest attitude about a couple inexpensive bulbs I bought and I told him why I did not want them. He later scoffed and laughed and said «fine, just give me your card and refund you.» …So easy but he made it a huge deal, I’m going to go ahead and say he’s the owner since he seemed so rude about me returning a couple of bulbs. Anyways, won’t be coming back here, rude service, no air conditioning for me to stay in long enough, and merchandise is horrible.

This business would earn a minus one star rating if Unilocal had one. The service is terrible, the showroom messy (that should have been a clue) the sales people have a bad attitude, and they are liquidators – in a murky kind of gray area.
The actual dates of the merchandise are questionable – so be very careful. I admit there may be good deals to be had when buying from a liquidator, if one is knowledgeable. But we got a TV which was NOT the age it was purported to be, we found out later – thus the deal was not a steal at all, more of a rip-​off.
And we just had a bad feeling about the place being not totally on the up-​and-​up. I know that is not definitive, but based on our experience, we wish we’d have trusted our instincts. Surprisingly, Unilocal had no bad rating or any rating at all on them. But afterwards, we did find many bad ratings elsewhere online and were kicking ourselves for not checking sooner.
