Nice lettuce Pei Wei, I’m so disappointed with my meal tonight. Kung pao Chicken just alright, kind of cold and bland. My lettuce wraps are kinda frightening. Take a look for yourself, is this lettuce a year old

We really like Pei Wei but our last meal was beyond gross. The chicken was down right nasty. Super spongey. My wife and I couldn’t eat it. The manager gave us a $ 10 gift card. Ok. But I really wanted dinner tonight.

Never been to a Pei Wei. First time here. I was gonna go get a hamburger next door at The Habit, but I dropped in to see the menu. Smell pretty good in here!!! Clean! And the eating area looks nice! They have an option of small for Pad Thai. Since I was by myself, I went ahead and decided I’ll have lunch here. Beef Pad Thai was good. I think it did need more bean sprouts and I asked if I could have some more bean sprouts. The gal said oh sure! They brought it to me in bowl and it was steaming hot. I also got an order of their Thai Wonton Soup. The broth was fresh. It has basil, green onions, and cilantro very good! I just got a cup of it. I also got a small order of their Wasabi Crunchy Roll. Ergh. I could of skipped getting this one. It’s not worth it. The diameter of the roll was nickel size. The service here was great. Thank You for giving me extra bean sprout. It helped balanced the saltiness of the Pad Thai. The flavor of the Pad Thai and the Soup was good. It’s a step up from Panda Express because of the seating area and the choices thats available. I feel more relaxed to eat here and the flavor is great! It does cost more, but it does feel & taste little more gourmet here.

I did not remember Pei Wei being this lack luster. For one the prices are way too high for the portion size and quality that you get. $ 30 for two plates and a few egg rolls is way too much for mediocre chinese food that tastes better pretty much anywhere else. Not at all a fan of the service, the manager on duty did nothing to rectify the situation, both issues I addressed she shrugged off and walked away. One other staff member, a young guy was fantastic and remade my meal, he really saved the day. I was rung up wrong and overcharged, getting that taken care off took a good 10 minutes, by then my food was ready, not what I ordered, second plate still not what I ordered but whatever. Sesame chicken was ok, not great, my husband really disliked his honey chicken and noodles. Veggie egg rolls were ok, the pork ones disgusting, huge fatty chunks of meat, inedible. Not worth coming back.

Love this spot. Fresh Asian infused meals with good prices and friendly folks. They forgot to ring up a meal, so what did they do? The A + thing to do… make the food quickly, apologize, and give us a $ 10 gift card. Well done manager and well done Pei Wei!!!

The place is nice, clean and has awesome soda dispensers. They have a good menu selection and have gluten-free options. I have eaten here many times and just don’t enjoy eating the food here as I do at other places. I have tried several items here but nothing tastes great to me. I think the food at Pick Up Stix and Panda Express is better and that is not saying much.

Never had a bad experience at pei Wei until now. I asked for extra chix and light sauce. It came out extremely saucy and no extra chix when I called the waitress out on it she said she’d check and never came back, once I got her attention she said«oh yea it had extra chicken«and was super b**chy about it. That’s number 1 2. The fountain drinks were out of a lot of the most popular drinks. 3. No forks or knives in the area next to the drinks 4. No more lids left for the drinks 5. Dirty tables 6. Rude and disrespectful staff I’d give them 0 stars but you have to give one. Never coming to this location again. And btw the chicken was undercooked

Horrible just horrible! Worst Chinese American food in OC and that’s saying a lot since OC has some of the worst Chinese food in the WORLD! One word describes this restaurant. FLIES!

This is my favorite restaurant! They have great, friendly service! They serve incredible foreign Asian food with delicious meals. My personal favorite is the Honey Seared Chicken! It is warm and steamy with a crunchy outside, soft inside with yummy chicken and a sweet and strong sauce. Don’t forget drinks, they have 2 coca-cola freestyle touch-screens with every bubbly drink you can imagine with different flavors! The bathrooms are superbly clean! It has warm colors and dark features inside. The restaurant is also clean and smells of delicious Asian meals! They have nice outdoor seating with surrounding plants. They also have dessert! Snicker doodle cookies or fun fortune cookies! I’d come here every day if I could! Enjoy!

This use to be a great place. Tonight the service is slow. I got my food and we finally after 15 minutes had to go up to see about the other order. Took them 10 more minutes to make it and it was wrong. This is their second strike for us. Time before my take out order was completely wrong. One more strike and we won’t be back.

To.Die.For! Not sure why there aren’t more locations in OC/Riverside area. Food was fantastic, service was great! Again really wish there was a more accessible location near me, but will definitely be back!

Quick service but unfortunately when I ask about the sushi rolls they mentioned that they were the same size as a regular roll. The sushi were smaller than the ones you buy in the supermarket I was so hungry that after that I had to order another plate. pointed to the picture when I got my plate I had two shrimps full of pineapples and full of rice horrible food. I will definitely not recommence this place for eating

I hadn’t been to this location in a few years, but nothing had changed. The décor was still poor, and their menu is pretty standard, not to mention on a «drive thru» type placard inside. After ordering, I had to ask someone to clean off a table, because all 5 of the empty tables still had plates and food strewn about. One soda machine was broken and the other was out of ice. The food here is sub par. I got the pad Thai noodles with tofu today, and they weren’t bad, but not the best compared to others I’ve had. They’re pretty spicy, so don’t order them if you don’t like heat. Overall, I’d give it 1 and a half stars.

Well, I have now crossed PeiWei off my list of «goto» restaurants. Or at least this location. It gets a pity star! I got hooked on PeiWei about 6 years ago and had one very close to a previous job. It was«PeiWei» Monday, every Monday! They finally opened one(somewhat) close to my home, but still about 10 miles away(the Lake Forest location). We have made it here many times over the last few years and vet recently, this location has taken a HUGE dive. It’s under staffed and poorly managed. I base this on my last two visits to the restaurant. About two weeks ago, we ordered, sat down and our food arrived pretty quick… except for my meal. Now dinner out with my family doesn’t happen very often, and eating together is priceless. I waited thinking, okay they had one plate that got caught up… about ten minutes go by and I flagged down the expediter standing at the kitchen counter… she said they were working on it. About 20 minutes now went by and my family was literally finished eating. I walked up to the expediter and asked again and she said they were still working on it… it was a PeiWei spicy chicken with brown rice! That’s it! She told me I could sit down and she would bring it and I asked for the manager. She pointed to the young guy cooking. I asked to speak with him and nothing… my plate finally came and my family watched me eat. Terrible! No offers, no apologies, no manager checking on us, nothing. Last night, we chalked the last visit as a fluke. We arrived at about 5:20pm and were«next» in line. We waited for the guy to take care of about 4 people waiting in the take out line and the other young girl packing up take out food. Once again, we were next in line and the«poorly staffed» issues pop up. We waited about ten minutes to place our order and while we were waiting we looked around the restaurant for a place to sit. There were 4 in our party and there were no table available. About 6 tables were vacant, but not bused or wiped down. My wife looked at me(we were still waiting to place our order) and said«I’m getting a bad vibe again from this place». We left and walked over to the Very consistent«The Habit». Great food, well managed and staffed. Farewell PeiWei

This place is quick for lunch and the lettuce wraps are always good. I have tried a new item, Ahi tuna bowl, which was OK. The worst thing on the menu today was the Mongolian beef. It was drenched in sauce, non-palatable and extremely salty. I guess I need to cut my salt intake for this week. Service here sometimes is nice sometimes very slow.

My disclaimer; I am not any kind of Asian food connoisseur, I just know what I like. So with that, I really like Pei Wei, until Unilocal,I was always afraid to try new Asian restaurants mostly cause I seemed to have a bad picker! I’d always opt for those fast chain Chinese pick from under the heat lamp kinda places! Well since coming to Pei Wei, it’s been my go to place for when I’m really craving some Asian food. I love that their food has actual flavor for me, whether it’s authentic or not I don’t know or care, it’s just darn good. Today I got an order of the sesame chicken, I really loved the flavor, especially since I’m not a big white meat chicken person, usually due to lack of flavor. The sesame chicken was great. Along with the chicken I got the Mongolian Beef which I loved too, it came on a bed of white rice. The beef was not tough or chewy, but cooked perfectly with a ton of flavor, I especially love the green onions in this dish. The lo mein chicken was good also, much more flavor than my sit under the heat lamp places, it also has big chunks of white meat chicken. Everything was super good, I got my wife the teriyaki chicken plate with brown rice, she said it was yummy too, and she especially loved the brown rice. The prices I felt were reasonable and the quality was super good. This is definitely my fave until something new comes along and knocks my sox off! Happy eating!

Great service, very clean environment, varied menu and good food. Pei Wei now offers tofu as a protein in most all of their dishes, so this vegetarian is pleased! Portions are plentiful and the kids meals are priced reasonably.

Ah Pei Wei. Home of the fresh, hot food. Granted, it was 9:10PM and this restaurant closed at 10. We asked if they were still serving since it looked like the cooks were cleaning up, and the cashier said«Yes, we are open until 10». All went downhill from there. Good arrives, half is lukewarm. Sent back, the made a fresh batch. At 9:20 one of the cooks got up on the wok station and started scrubbing the back walls with soap and water. Not very appetizing watching this while we are eating… posted a pic of this. 9:50PM the chairs start being turned over on the tables around us. Guess it’s time to leave. We won’t be back. If you close at 10. Close at 10, don’t start to close at 9:20.

Came here with my mom for the first time because she loves Chinese food and I normally wouldn’t have tried it by myself as I am partial to most other Asian foods like Thai or Japanese but I was kind of intrigued to find out that it’s actually a fusion place. I have always been a fan of Kung pow chicken so I tried the Kung pow shrimp sushi roll. It was ok but I think I will try the spicy tuna next time. My mom was generally satisfied with the experience although she did say that the Kung pow chicken entrée she got was a little salty and after trying it I agreed. The service was excellent and all the staff were very friendly and took good care of us. Overall I’d say it’s pretty good and I’ll be back.
