This is a really nice Sizzler. I’ve been to some bad ones! The food is good, the restaurant is nice. I enjoy their Steak Medallions on rice. It is so good. Their fried shrimp is also quite tasty. The waiters and waitresses are very nice and do a real good job here too.

So I haven’t been to a Sizzlers in probably 15+ years, but after some convincing, my friends and I came here for dinner and wow, Sizzlers has definitely improved and this place is definitely underrated! I just got the AYCE salad bar $ 13 which is priced pretty much the same as Souplantation, but this AYCE salad bar includes so much more and even has meat! The salad bar has a lot of options. They have a small selection of soups and they have a taco/nacho bar –Yum! I even dipped into the«kids» section for some really good mac and cheese, onion rings and chicken nuggets. What’s best here is the CHEESETOAST which is served at your table and is complimentary and UNLIMITED! Service here is very friendly and attentive. They also have large plasmas all around so you can watch the game while you eat and eat and eat. I also appreciate how you can go back to the salad bar easily, unlike Souplantation where you have to go back in line or cut in front of people for another helping.

By far, this is as good as it gets. I’ve been to this Sizzlers several times before, and don’t know why it took this long to write my review. This Sizzlers I grew up with was dingy, dark, mediocre. Those days are over. This Sizzlers was nice and bright, where you could see and appreciate the freshness and quality of the food. Ordered the jalapeño butter steak special with salad bar. I walked around the salad bar and could not resist trying the guacamole. I could see bright green color with chunks of avocado and bit of tomato; I had to make myself a small tower of nachos. Right when I was going back for seconds, I was distracted with the fried chicken wings. I took 2 pieces, but wanted«one more», and«one more». I filled my big plate with a plethora of vegetables and couldn’t wait to return back to the table and eat. Just when I thought I couldn’t wait to eat, my husband handed me his cheese toast. We talked about eating ourselves silly with the salad bar and take home our steak and cheese toast. He couldn’t resist and had to share his treasure bite with me. That wasn’t part of the plan, but the toast was crunchy one side, soft on the other, and so mmmmm good! Sensory overload in a good way. No matter how you looked at it, the food(buffet bar and salad bar) was fresh. Hot soup was hot, chicken wings were hot, pasta sauce was hot, desserts were cold. Just the way I like it. Service was spot on and it shows they take great pride in quality control. Can’t wait to go back.

So glad we decided to try this Sizzler. It had been 10 years or so since we ate at a Sizzler and I kept meaning to try this one. I love Malibu Chicken and it was as I remembered. Jose the server couldn’t be friendlier or more helpful. The salad bar is fresh and tasty. I didn’t like the french fries. The rolls and cheese toast are yum yum! The onion rings are also pretty tasty. The restaurant is very clean and inviting. I think we will probably start coming here every other week or so.

Always fresh, always too much food. We’ve been coming here once or twice a month for about the last eight months. Many freshly made salads from which to choose: My favorites are the super food salad & spinach/almond/cranberry & then build from there. Must have the crab salad, spicy fried chicken wings, broccoli cheese soup, taco bar. Constantly finding something new I really enjoy. For dessert it’s bread pudding with whipped cream or tapioca pudding. My BIL goes for the apple crisp w soft-serve vanilla and/or fresh fruit. We have never been disappointed with the salad bar offerings. Always fresh & delicious! Caution: made the mistake once of ordering off the menu. Really slow in the kitchen; 25 minutes for an inedible French dip that I finally sent back bc the bread was so hard I couldn’t bite through it.

This is the nicest Sizzler that I have ever been to as it was re-built a few years back. This wasn’t a remodel as it was knocked down and re-built from ground up. Sizzler has an odd business model as the customers have to line up and order at a cash register and pay before they receive their meal which makes it not quite a full service restaurant. The food here tastes like every other sizzler so the nice new building and décor sets this apart from the others. I eat here about once a week and rotate between the Ribeye Steak, New York Steak and All-You-Can-Eat Salad bar. I must say that the cheese bread is my favorite thing here and like it better than what most restaurants have to offer. The prices could be better but is within reason. Sometimes the service is very good and sometimes it is lacking like my last visit. 3.5 stars!

Have not been to this Sizzler in over 20 years. My wife and I were very impressed. The food was excellent. The service was excellent I noticed the following: Order intake prompt. Facility very clean. Great mix and ice for the soda. Salad bar had great selection and nice and cold. Service was prompt and the meals were cooked as ordered. The portions were more than fair. This restaurant has come a long way. Looking forward to a return visit.

I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant!!! It’s terrible food. The salad bar consist of very old salad leaves. The macaroni salad tasted sour, old mayo was used. The meatballs had a funny smell. The fried chicken basically had no meat inside. The taco ingredients were old and smelled horrible! The desert wasn’t good either, except for the safest item to eat which was ice cream. I complained about my experience but the management could care less! I am paying for this meal, and I should eat food that are fresh and good. Shame on them for providing their customers with terrible food. By the way, my mother was feeling sick from the food!

Omg, what a awesome place. People greeted us immediately. No wait time. Brian made us laugh and we have not ordered yet. What a night to start off. Then our server Craig kept checking on us. He refilled and checked in on us. While my food was arriving I see managers cleaning and greeting people. I must say this was the most cleanest place and personable. If you come to sizzles sit in Craigs section. thank you for having Craig, Brian and the new Manger too.(I couldn’t remember his name) sorry! Best customer service ever.

service was good. we were greeted immediately stepping in, led to our seats upon ordering/paying, big smile on our waiter’s face and tentatively got us drinks and breads, orders came out in a reasonable time. for the price we are paying, we really shouldn’t expect too much. although the quality of the meat wouldn’t be too good, they could at least cook your steak better? my medium steak was more like well done, i only finished half. the grilled shrimps are lack of flavor, the mashed potato… wasn’t even mashed? i made a mistake asking for no gravy… it was very very dry. i took a couple of the french fries from my friend’s plate — and they were good! i walked by the salad bar on my way out, it does look like they have plenty of selections! if i ever come back here again…(it would not be my choice) i would go for the salad bar, and lots and lots of cheese toasts!

So boyfriend & I randomly came to Sizzler’s for our date night & boy was I excited. The Sizzler’s by my place is older & not as pretty as this location. It’s brand new practically & super clean. Service was great. Server– was Lupe, she kept checking on us throughout our dinner & made sure all our used plates were off our table & also refilled our tea’s very nice. Food– it’s sizzler & seriously I love salads & the idea of «making my own» makes me so very happy. Gotta admit for a Friday evening @ 7/8pm it was packed was kinda worried we wouldn’t get table, be we got one! It was the hot spot apparently! Salad bar is what we did! Fresh taco’s, wings, onions rings, spaghetti, kale salad. Chinese chicken salad, nacho’s, ice cream bar &4 different soups! Not a fan of buffets but this salad bar buffet is fresh & good! & plus I noticed I’m always scared of getting sick @ buffets any kind bc of food sitting out so long, BUT I never get sick @ Sizzler’s(which says a lot) knock on wood I hope I don’t get sick! Must try this location though to get the full experience hahahahaha! Yum!

I came here for the first time in a about 10 years and my expectations were pretty low since my last experience had been awful. I was very pleasantly surprised. I only had steak and vegetables so I can’t comment on the salad bar but the steak was juicy and flavorful and the broccoli was al dente. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere pleasant. Service was great. One thing I especially appreciated was when Jose, my server, delivered my steak, he asked if I wanted to cut the steak to check if it was cooked to my satisfaction. The steak was perfect and the gesture ensured I got the steak I wanted. I’ll be back.

When I was young, Sizzler’s was a special place. Birthday? I got to go to Sizzler’s Good grades? I got to go to Sizzler’s. Straight A’s??! I was able to get the AYCE shrimp WITH the salad bar! Those were good times. For some reason I thought that was a me thing. After watching David Choe with Anthony Bourdain on Parts Unknown, I realized it wasn’t just me! I’ve gone to Sizzler’s maybe once in the past 15 years or so, and hadn’t really had the urge to go again until I saw Parts Unknown. Sizzlers = Nostaglic. Good quality food? Not so much, but still what I’d call borderline ‘comfort food’. That’s probably why I bumped it up to 4 stars. I had the salad bar. The salad is decent. Moderately fresh, with a bunch of salad and topping selections. Standard salad bar fare. After the salad I went to get the other hot items — a taco bar, some pasta, chicken wings, etc. I found a winner in the taco bar. I had NEVER thought of doing this until I saw David Choe do it. Here’s what you do: –Taco shell –3 meatballs –Guacamole –Sour Crème –Cheese –Salsa Trust me. Get a few Meatball tacos and the famous cheese toast. Well worth the $ 12

Used to like this Sizzler’s, but unfortunately it seems to have slipped due to poor management. We would dine-in and use the carry-out service. The last dine-in service is what made us decide to no longer go here. The hostess was very rude to us when we checked in. Seemed like a teenager that no one bothered to train. When we sat down we asked to speak to the manager. She never came! Then, found out the manager was in the back the entire time and just didn’t bother to come out. To be honest the food is not worth it. You can get better steaks almost anywhere, and buffet wise there are several better ones. Just decided to give up on this!

Not too bad Salad bar is OK Food is really fresh But the service is slow as hell We actually had to wait 10 minutes for our drinks The Steak was good but I don’t know why they asked me how I would like it When I get it well done show leather anyways. All in all really nothing to write home about

Been here twice in the past year. Both times for lunch midweek. We were seated right away and the service was pleasant. I typically order the small steak with the steamed veggies. It’s always fresh and tasty. Since I’m not really a big fan of buffets, not sure if I’ll be doing the salad buffet. But I’m happy enough with the steak once in a while, so I’m good.

I miss Sizzler as they are pretty much all gone in SD except for one location… Their food is delicious and their prices are reasonable. I used to hit up the location in Mira Mesa on weekends with my brother and mom after helping her out in the office. It brings back memories. This location is always full of guests and the salad bar and buffet are always filled never empty. Make sure to save room for dessert!

Food: I’ve definitely have eaten worse. For some reason Sizzler has developed a pretty bad reputation in the past, but people should give it a shot. It’s on par with eating at an Outback Steakhouse or Black Angus. Their steaks are far from horrible and are actually pretty decent. Their salad bar is pretty nice. The salad bar even comes with chicken wings! On one visit to this particular location, I had their Classic Trio which was a sirloin steak, some butterfly shrimp, and a Malibu chicken. The portions were reasonable and all three tasted pretty good. Great value. On another occasion, I had the steak and shrimp scampi pasta combo. The steak was good, but the pasta wasn’t spectacular. I would not recommend the pasta. Service: You order first and pay before being seated. I’ve gotten good service the few times that I’ve eaten here. The waitress always checks up on you routinely to see if you need any drink refills. Location: There’s plenty of parking at this location. The décor on the outside looks decent and the furniture inside looks clean. The menus on the walls are pretty nice with pictures of the menu items.

My heart SIZZLEDINSTANTLY as we approached the front doors. SMELLEDSOGOOD. It was Friday, got paid this week, and decided to treat everyone out without thinking about pizza. [Place] Bright, warm, with cherry red Vegas– lights around the ceiling. Love it. It was like a really good Vegas place with quality food. [Service] First Class Hotel Staff. Serious. Real Deal, good job! [How it works] You get in line and menu’s are display on the wall while you wait. Its not so bad since the selection is great and line moved fast. They had a salad/dessert bar and what I did was order my plate at the cashier and mentioned to add in the cost to have access to the bar. You get seated and they monitor your receipt. [Food] –Salad plate– EVERYTHINGWASFRESH. GETTHETUNAPASTA. PERFECTZING. –Nachos-DO YOUBABY. TREATYOURSELF. SOGOOD. I FELTLIKE I WASWATERINGMYCHIPSWITHTHECHEESELIKEWATERINGPLANTS. –Mac n Cheese– PASS, super light kind of cheese, tasted like boiled noodles straight up. Don’t get this for your date, your ass might get DUMPED. –I ordered the Steak with Unlimited Shrimp. Got to choose Mashed potatoes on the side(was ok, tasted like they scooped it out of a baked potato). Steak(medium-well was incredible! moist, seasoned, melt-in-your mouth). Little smaller than expected. Unlimited shrimp– deep fried goodness. I only made it to the second round but after was full. Its good. But was HOT. Like real fresh HOT. ‘ITWASHOTTERTHANTWORABBITSSCREWIN’ IN A WOOLSOCK, HOT!‘ So be careful. — - — - — - - Overall, what a fun and fantastic place. I read a review where they compared the salad bar to souplantation and wow so TRUE! Just as good!
