Came here for breakfast before we hit the road back to Chicago. It was pretty good breakfast. I like that they had a lot of healthy options. I always hate that restaurants don’t offer turkey meats but the chicken sausage was surprisingly good. I had the two eggs with chicken sausage simple egg meal. The scrambled eggs were a little over cooked but over all the food was good. It was also a little cold inside but it is Lake Geneva in the middle of winter. Would’ve given 5 but the over cooked eggs and the cold room was enough to take away 1 star. Oh by the way the citrus ginger tea is soooooo good.

Very good place for breakfast, good food and very nice staff. The potatoes were really good. We each had a designer omelette, which we were able to customize to our desire. The coffee was local and very good. Only complaint would probably be that breakfast for 2 cost about $ 30. Overall, would rate 7⁄10 for the easy breakfast choices, no wait, and great service.

There is a long wait but it is very much worth it. Food was delicious, well prepared, and excellent service. I had a creole benedict with potatoes. Expertly cooked. This is my go to place when I make my way to Lake Geneva.

The wait for Sunday brunch for a party of 6 was extreme. So this food had better be beyond on point! The server/hostess offered no apology or thank you for waiting after giving us an initial estimate of 25 minutes! So far not digging this place.

The food was pretty decent, however, the reason why I gave the venue three stars is because of the service. When I first walked in the door, the hostess asked me my party, which was one, went over to the counter to see if there was a sit available, which there was, and gave me a menu and told me I could have a sit at the counter. At the moment, I was fine with that gesture b/c I assumed that was the concept of seating guest at this franchise/venue. Yet, while I was leaving the same hostess walked towards the counter with two menus in her hand then placed those menus on the countertop before the two Caucasian women who were walking behind her sat down. My waitress treated me like a person who wasn’t going to tip. She was nice, but she wasn’t very attentive. To give you an idea of how long I waited, I got my food the moment my orange juice started to getting warm. Actually, it did get warm. Typically, I don’t mind the wait unless it’s not being communicated. If the kitchen is backed up by all means let the customer know. I’m perfectly fine with that. It was a patron that was sitting next to me who advised me that the wait was long. With the long wait, my food wasn’t even hot. Also, when I asked for her, the waitress, for a to go plate, she, the waitress, gave me a little container that wasn’t even big enough to fit my pancakes. When I try to get her attention, she simply didn’t even pay me no attention. It was one of her colleagues who actually gotten the bigger size container for me. I still tipped her just out of spite, but I will never come here again. It was surely a waste of my time.

What a great place to eat. My wife and I were looking for a place to have breakfast on our way through town. We loved this place. There were a lot of items on the menu we would have liked to have tried but I ended up having the chicken chirizo chili omlete and my wife had the simple breakfast sandwich. They were both great. We highly recommend them. We also loved the coffee and even though they were busy the service was very good. We go to Lake Geneva several times a year and we will definitely be going here again

After a short wait we were seated. Very attentive service. The kitchen was a little behind, but their food is definitely worth the wait. We had Mashed Potato Omlette and Chorizo Breakfast Tacos. My husband loved the tacos! I started with a cup of their butternut squash soup –perfect for a cold winter day. I believe their menu rotates quite seasonally, so something of interest all the time. My go to would be the Eggs Sardou but they changed it up a bit and decided that it wasn’t worth the risk… So went for the mashed potato Omlette. Overall 3.5 stars to 4.0

Food was alright, service was terrible. My carry out order wasnt ready, so I was seated but then rudely related to outside the shop! The person who took the order reminded me a few times that I was calling their lake geneva location and I’m not a big fan of being treated like I’m special

Im goin be a mench a give 4 when this review really is 3.5 Great people im sure and good food. here are the cons tho: told wait for breakfast and it was 15 mins after that seated. tho was crowded.. not kewl. ‘youngsters’ handling seating and line seems all over the place a bit. running around looking for folks. this is your method? Uh are like cheap pagers so expensive? no other system than running into the bakery and down the street yelling names works for you folks lol? waitress pours coffee then asks ya want cream. sure. like 4 – 5 mins later still waiting. wtf are you kidding me .but it did come. Never ever ever ever in a breakfast place makes folks wait to drink their coffee. this is like not serving drinks at a good pace at a bar. insanity I tell u. the coffee is like egg harbor’s which means its like Intelligentsia. my meal came out just luke warm. not kewl For all the cons which really could be fixed, the food is delicious and coffee was good and refilled plenty and timely so there’s that. id go agine fer sure. just tighten it up people. I rec. Eggs Sardou(though not 100% sure that’s fresh spinach there Lou). great sauce tho and friendly bakery.

Menu was simple, hence the name, mostly omelettes for breakfast. Seems they cook with poor choices of ingredients such as margarine as their pan grease. Great amount of food, so come very hungry, and reasonably priced.

This place was a PERFECT kick off to a day of snowy adventure in LG. Service – awesome. Amy took great care of us – friendly, great meal suggestions and great ideas for places to visit in the area. Ambiance – awesome. Such a cool vibe. Coffee – DELISH, and we were offered a to go cup! Food – oh heck yes. Turkey omelet was given 152 stars. Chicken Chorizo omelet. Husband says«I couldn’t stop eating it, so however many stars that equals…» Mashed potato omelet was terrific. Pumpkin pancakes were literally the best food I’ve ever put in my face. Go here. Eat the food. Its worth the trip.

Fabulous breakfast! Can’t beat a place that sources locally grown/raised food, doesn’t have a microwave or freezer, makes delicious food and has attentive, friendly staff. I had an omelet with butternut squash, broccoli and zucchini. They don’t add anything to the eggs so it was just eggs and veg; perfect for my dairy allergy. The omelet was cooked perfectly and the vegetables were perfectly tender(not soggy or hard) with a beautiful flavor. The roasted potatoes had a wonderful rosemary accent. My toast with jam was a perfect finish. I was stuffed ½ way through the meal and finished anyway because it was so good. My husband had the classic eggs Benedict which he thought was great. He thought the hollandaise could have a bit more punch, but that is probably because he is used to the way I make it which is probably not really correct. Poached eggs were cooked perfectly, so was the Canadian bacon. He enjoyed the potatoes too and a little bit of my toast and jam. The portion size was good — he was pleasantly full. We visited the market & bakery next door. It was a little crowded since it was Sunday morning, but we picked up some treats to bring home for later. All and all a great experience. We live 30 minutes away, but it is worth the trip. We will be back.

This place is the Girlfriends favorite breakfast spot in Lake Geneva. We went around 10am on Saturday and even though they were quite busy we were seated right away. The waitress recommended the Korean BBQ Breakfast bowl but we played it safe and ordered the Simple Breakfast Sandwich and the Apple Crumble French Toast. The French Toast was very rich and sweet very much like apple pie filling. I would recommend both however I would suggest adding a meat to the breakfast sandwich — bacon or sausage. They also have a bakery and coffee shop next door which we came back Sunday to try their Monkey Bread and Banana Walnut Bread. We will be returning on our next trip to Lake Geneva.

It pays to do research ahead. This joint had the highest rating for brunch across every user-generated review site( Unilocal, Tripadvisor, etc) in Lake Geneva. They sure lived up to the hype! I also had Simple Bakery & Market on my list of «to eat» and hey what you know, they are the same; Simple Bakery is an extension of Simple Café — basically there’s always a wait and everybody hits up Simple Bakery next door as they wait to be seated. Freaking geniuses. Got the apple crumble french toast, the mashed potato omelet and a side order of pork sausages; they were all fab. At Simple Bakery, we got the ham and cheese croissant and the monkey bread danish; both were so flaky and fresh. Even the coffee tasted great. Place has an older crowd, not that i have anything against it. Just pointing out my observation. Though come to think of it, we felt like we were the youngest everywhere we went in the town. And we are in our late twenties… Warning: My only gripe is that i didn’t get to try the olive ciabatta b/c they ran out. Found out they sold out by 9am. That’s way too early for me to get up on a Saturday even if it’s for the world’s most amazing olive ciabatta.

FIB or not. .this place rocks ! For those who are tired of the typical greasy spoons, this is a great place. Unique dishes cooked without over greasy and salting. I had the Korean bbq bowl that was surprisingly light and delicious. My wife had the chicken and sweet corn omelet which I had to dog some! Everytjing was cooked perfectly and the true tale of a breakfast place is the coffee which was great. Our waiter Carlos was attentive and pleasant and talked us through the menu recomending the dishes we chose. A must stop if you crave food above the norm! Ee are two for two on our lake geneva trip… thanks fellow Unilocalers!

An extraordinary place for breakfast/brunch/lunch! This is by far the most creative brunch place in Lake Geneva. Which is saying something considering the steep competition. I waited until my second visit to review. The first time I went, our server was good. But the food was spectacular! I ordered the Bahn Mi sandwich. It came with a sauce that became my new favorite sauce. Some sort of combination of hoisin, mayonnaise, and siracha. The ingredients were fresh and the food was beautiful The second time I went I order breakfast. The ‘Simple Benedict’ which was not an ordinary eggs Benedict. It was two eggs served atop a thick cake of fried potato grits, sauced and topped with asparagus, and other delicious items. The sauce and the whole plate was incredible. I cleared my entire plate. Every time I go to lake Geneva, I will debate whether to try a new place or just give in an go to my favorite restaurant; Simple

Round two based on my pilgrimage back to WI: As I said in my first review, out of the places we tried in Lake Geneva, this is the only one I wanted to come back to. It did not disappoint! I took this opportunity to try the Corned Beef Hash. My coworker had the smoked trout omelet, which was the better of the two. The CBH was great — and somewhat unique because it was not the finely chopped beef hash that I grew up with, it was big chunks of beef and potatoes — very filling! Service was good and the place was pretty full for a Wednesday morning compared to our last visit. Once again, the best meal we had in the area.

We had a great meal here! The food was very fresh. The garden burger was one of the most delicious I’ve ever had. It was a unique combination of black beans, rice & other items including walnuts. The walnuts really made it special. My partner enjoyed his beef burger. We both really liked the well seasoned crisp potatoes that came with the sandwiches. They offer 2 vegetarian sandwich choices which is awesome! The service was good though not exceptional. We did have a 5 – 10 min wait prior to being greeted but they always made sure my tea was filled. I thought the price was reasonable $ 26 for 2 sandwiches &2 drinks. There is a bakery attached to the restaurant that you can get unique & tasty breads & pastries from. We got a few things & all were really good. I’m so glad we came here. We would definitely return when in the area.

This is by far one of my favorite restaurant any where. Open for breakfast and lunch only but it is well worth the drive from Milwaukee just for breakfast alone. Simple doesn’t express the food or experience at all as the food and menu is unique and supports local farmers. From pancakes to unique Omelets and other egg dishes to my favorite, Korean BBQ breakfast bowl. The breakfast bowl is loaded with braised pork, kale, bean sprouts broccoli and brown rice egg on top. Simply amazing! Every dish we have had has their own unique touch. The service is tops and fast. The décor is vibrant, bright and a bit eclectic. Their motto is «simple», changing the world one bite at a time. And this restaurant, owner and chef is hitting it out of the park. I hear they are opening another restaurant in Milwaukee. Came back today for breakfast. I had the eggs sardou which is poached eggs on toasted croissant with artichoke fresh spinach mozzarella cheese Parmesan cheese and creole hollandaise. The artichoke and spinach was finally chopped with the eggs and sauce on top. The creole hollandaise was what I wanted to try and it was really good. Just a hint of cayen and nice and thick. Also worth a try if you want to go outside of the normal breakfast.
