Went here at 8pm on a Monday. Place was slow at the time. We had great service and the food was pretty good as well! The menu isn’t that extensive, but they have a bit of everything. Atmosphere is that of a log cabin with both indoor and outdoor seating.

This place was great! Great for big groups. If you don’t want to go to a commercialized restaurant this is the place to have dinner at! Great food, great atmosphere, nice bar… Overall, one of the best restaurants at lake George!

Contrary to their name, the only thing raining here was toxic food on my very optimistic parade and/or health. This was my last night in Lake George too! 7 person party. Where do I begin? Let me preface this review with a scene from game of thrones. The scene is where they make the cunning Queen Cersei walk naked through the city while having its people yell«shame» continuously and throw rotten vegetables at her. Please remember that I’m chanting«shame…shame…shame» in my review. 1) We are seated and place a drink order a few minutes in. Drinks do not come out for over 10 minutes. The place was literally half empty at the time. We are also told there is no prime rib tonight, fair enough. 2) I order the turkey club, because how do you mess that up? I am still thanking Jesus for my bright decision. 3) Everyone else orders seemingly«dinner» meals like salmon or ribs. My own brother got a burger which«seemed» like a safe choice. 4) Salads come out with no dressing. The server tells us we will like the«house curry vinaigrette» that comes out with enough dressings for maybe 2 of the 7 people in our party. The salad looked«tired» and feeble like an old cattle that needed to be put down. I did not touch mine. My friends who ordered the ribs did not get their Cesar salads like requested. 5) We ordered appetizers of spinach artichoke dip and calamari. They served stale bread hard enough to chip a tooth. At this point I’m now questioning their food and health safety. The dip itself was alright. I’m now coming to terms with paying someone to serve me old food that should be destroyed… the calamari was standard pre-frozen and ok for my other fish eating friends. The wings weren’t that bad. 6) Meals come out. My order was the only thing that came out right and or half decent. My friend’s salmon dish was so bad that my other friend said he might get sick. It was«flavorless» and bland. My friends eat salmon all the time and even I was surprised to here this. The«big daddy burger» was flavorless. It’s hard for a burger with cheese, onion rings and BBQ pulled pork to be flavorless… but alas here we are Unilocal. The ribs were dry and not juicy. The what appeared to be «owner or head chef»(a white haired man in a jimmy buffet shirt) explained to us that they should taste great… he made them«last night.» All of our food came out and my other friend’s «eggplant penne vodka» was still not here. The same man who we dubbed«the rib ruiner» explained they had run out of eggplant and if she wanted the dish now she could have it. It was almost as if they were holding her hunger hostage in hopes they wouldn’t need to prepare another dish and we would just take it? We did… it was terrible until we asked for Parmesan cheese. He said he has something«special» that we would like and puts Asiago on it which made the edible, but still masked the festering feces beneath. All of our mashed potatoes came out late. We were then told they ran out of gravy! This was getting insane. All told our bill with tip was about $ 200 for 7 people which equates to $ 28.57 a person. I paid almost thirty dollars to pay someone to potentially get me sick! I didn’t understand how this was possible and I’m still irate. In summary, this is what appears to be a family run circus that needs to be on a Food Network«turnaround» show like«Restaurant Impossible» or «Nightmare Kitchen.» This place stole my money and can be unequivocally called a tourist trap. You may be wondering why we are here? It had 6 reviews and a four star rating. I knew in my gut to never trust a place with less than 50 reviews, but I was on vacation and being nice. This is one tree I will never water again, as it bears toxic fruit that will kill anyone who dares taste its rotten nectar.

Don’t waste a valuable vacation evening. All the positive reviews on Unilocal and tripadvisor are from friends and family and they get all the negative reviews removed by finding some technicality(like mentioning other reviews). Three times my honest review was removed from tripadvisor. Be warned!!!

First off atmosphere and service was excellent. Garlic Parmesan wings were amazing and char grilled after frying so they were juicy crispy and not greasy at all. My wife got the turkey dinner homemade stuffing and all. I had the prime rib. Both were so good we kept wanting to stop but couldn’t. Left stuffed and satisfied. Will come back again!

Great atmosphere and quality food. Becky is a fantastic server/bartender and the owners Muriel and Rich are very personable. Dinner special was enjoyable. Pizza is highly rated but not served until after four pm. Great combination of locals and tourists. Recommend you check it out.

During Labor Day weekend, my friends and I came here for dinner one night. We were the last people that came here for dinner that late in the evening, but they were happy to serve us. The ambiance of this place was interesting with a woody forest theme. The servers were friendly, especially having to serve a group of 13 people. We ordered a bunch of appetizers, which were too many to name. The one that I liked the most is the garlic parmesan wings. It was so garlicky that I got banned from sleeping inside our cabin and had to sleep on the porch. I kid. But dang it was really garlicky and I loved every bit of it! The spiciest wings we’ve ordered wasn’t that spicy, but then again I think my spicy tolerance has been building up, so maybe it was spicy… The calamari was pretty good. The steamed clams and coconut shrimp were okay, nothing really special. I had the chicken marsala with linguine, which was just okay. My friends thought their food was just okay as well. Maybe I should’ve gotten another plate of garlic wings instead, but that means I’ll be banned from the cabin for sure.
