Serves this place right for being CLOSED a little over a year after I bit into a human fingernail in my soup. Karma.

I know this place is about to/is closed but the«service» I received on Sunday is reason enough to me to not visit their new restaurant opening in Glens Falls. We walked in around 7:45 and were«greeted» by a really rude young girl. She told us she didn’t know if we would be able to be served because it’s up to the kitchen and management to decide. OK??? How about you find out before you seat us? When we did finally get seated we were told they were only serving a limited menu which meant only fried foods. We left. I know it was their last day or close to it, but that doesn’t mean you don’t aim to impress especially if you’re opening up a new location. Had I had a good experience there, I might have been interested in going to their new location.

Yikes. Well, I learned that today happened to be the last day for this establishment; they are moving to a different location(in Glens Falls) and changing the name. I wasn’t sure if I should even write a review… but if it’s going to be the same owners, I’m hoping that they will do a better job in their new location. First — the host and wait staff in general were really awkward. There was one waitress that seemed to have it together… but she seemed to be the exception. We waited for an exceptionally long time to even order drinks; one more minute and we would have walked out(which I almost never do… but a table was seated about 10 minutes after us and someone took their drink/order almost immediately). I was starting to think that I needed to take another shower or that my attire wasn’t pretty enough… I had an unsweetened iced tea. It was awful; I can’t put my finger on what the problem was but it tasted like it had been sitting in a moldy pot for a week, perhaps? Don’t know why… but it wasn’t good. The potato skins literally had no taste. None. Sour cream wasn’t any help. It didn’t even taste like a potato. Yikes. The wings were done in a «special: way… which we tried… they’re baked, fried and then grilled to put a «char» on them. I don’t mind a good char… but some of them were just burnt. Yikes again. Hoping things get better for them in the new location.

Food is ok. Pizza is good. Had to wait for refills of drink that weren’t offered. Was not given the pizza menu until I asked if they had one. Probably won’t bother to go back with two great pizza and American food on the same side road.

We stopped here after shopping at the outlets for an hour and a half. We were seated quickly and notified that they were only serving breakfast– which was a buffet for $ 9.99. It was well worth it! The buffet included a made-to-order omelette station(which in itself had a lot of fixings), scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, bacon, sausage, French toast, pancakes, and biscuits and gravy.

the food at this place is OKAY, however, the place itself needs an overhaul. I couldn’t even pull my chair out because it was so sticky and stuck to the floor. My shoes stuck to the floor as well, salt all over the table. The place also has no ac, or at least I couldn’t feel it. They had fans blowing so it didn’t feel too bad.

Disappointment !! We would come here yearly after our week vacation as a goodbye breakfast. This year we were surprised the parking lot was«empty». We soon understood why! Disappointed right from the beginning when at buffet no french toast and no cereal. Also had an Omelette Station in the past and that was gone! When eggs and pancakes came they were burnt and continued to run out through out our sitting; and again, restaurant was not crowded! A shame that a nice tradition is gone from Lake George. Not sure of a sign of the economy but it’s August and the Lake was hopping so business should be on A game !

Great place for families and friends! Extensive menu for an Irish pub. Daily specials, great bar selection. Friendly staff. Perfect location for summer time travelers. Light pub fare for those on the go. Take out orders are always prepared on time. Stop in for a brew, a sandwich or a three course meal! Will always be much more than you would expect from a family owned pub, with character, delicious food, and smiles. Highly recommend for casual dining or large events(giant dining hall upstairs).

What a great little bar/restaurant. The service was great, waitress was very nice and attentive. The food was delicious. No complaints. We had the reuben, the Philly steak, nachos, eggplant fries and the onion soup. 4 of us ate for $ 63 with a couple of beers and sodas-very reasonable. It did smell a little bit when you walked in, old building? Irish food? But not enough to be a turnoff.

Stopped here because of the breakfast buffet sign. It was straight up bland, boring and cheap items. I think disgusting is a good word to describe it. Very dirty and dark inside and there was a fly buzzing around the meat items. EWE. To top it off the host was a young kid who clearly did not care about the service and the bathroom was dirty and out of soap. I was thoroughly disappointed and will never go back.

This place is not worth it. Place is old messy smells bad. Try not to sit in the back. The place is like a sauna. I swear the fries tasted like burnt oil. Service was not the best. Waiter didn’t check our table for any refills. I won’t go back

Service was probably the best thing about this place and even that was lacking. Food was not hood at all. We ordered 2 Philly cheesesteaks as we were told the owners were from Philly. We also ordered a cheeseburger for our 3 year old son. The food took 40 minutes to come out and when it dis it was a disaster. The cheesesteak had barely any steak and the cheeseburger was like a piece of leather. We sent it back and when the new food came out it was better but still not up to par. I wouldn’t go back as it just doesn’t seem like they care much about anything.

Went in for a late dinner. The place was pretty empty. Right off the bat a vinegary, old spilled sour milk smell hits us. That should have been enough hint for us to turn back to our car, but we stayed and tried. Looking around We couldn’t figure out what this restaurant was trying to be. Is this an Irish pub with an American farm décor? An American eatery with a marine/country/Irish/city theme? Who knows. I doubt they themselves know. Now the food would have been delicious if I was half in the bag but at our pre stupor state the food tasted average to below average. The Drunken Porkchops were inedible and the Mac and cheese the kids had were straight from a box. Really? I had some French dip sandwich that was about average but the onion rings were good. So that’s it. 2 stars and that’s only because the waitress brought our pints quickly.

DONOTCOMEHERE! This is my first Unilocal post, so it says a lot. The hostess was extremely rude on the night we went(2÷28÷15), which completely ruined the entire evening for us. We had a 2 year old with us and when he started getting cranky, she told me to make him be quiet. When I asked how much longer it would be, she said she doesn’t know«because it’s obviously busy.» The food was ok, nothing special. But regardless of that, no restaurant has the right to make their customers feel unwelcome — they need us to survive. Aren’t they in the service industry anyway, where they are supposed to SERVE their customers with not just food, but also respect? The hostess needs to be fired, or this restaurant runs the risk of closing down.

Service was a little slow especially for a Wednesday early evening, but they were nice. Had a decent selection of beers on tap. I ordered the crab cake appetizer and the Shepherds Pie, I am a sucker for Irish fare. It was a little pricey, but it is in a touristy strip near the outlet malls not far from some local theme parks. The crab cake was nice and hot with a tasty aioli and was mostly meat although the presentation was lacking. The shepherds pie came and had cheese on it even though it wasn’t listed in the menu. So disappointing. I hate it when they ruin it like that. I might come back.

I really wanted to liked this place better! Stopped here for lunch on the road. This area is full of outlet stores where I buy some stuff when I need something so I decided to double my stop with a lunch. The«Olde Post Grille» got my attention with their breakfast sign… but it opens at 11:30 and only have the breakfast on Sunday. It’s really an Irish pub with various food items. They had a lunch special with a grilled cheese which I took. Well, it wasn’t really good at all. The bread, cheese and items were not very good choices and it was kind of mushy! The advertise wood oven pizza, maybe it’s better. The general ambiance is nice and the staff is attentive… this is mainly why I wanted to love the place but the food I tried didn’t allow me to. Maybe once I try other places around I would give it another chance.

We came here with a coupon for ten bucks off and still felt like we paid too much. The prices are very high for what you get. We started with the reuben eggrolls, which were greasy and had almost no corned beef in them. The taste was rather bland. We followed that up with a roast beef dip, which was okay, but the au jus tasted like Lipton’s onion soup mix. My husband had a burger, which came on a stale bun, and was burnt around the edges. We ended up bringing most of our meal back to our dogs. Service wasn’t bad at all, but the barmaid was loud and vulgar, and we were sitting way too close to where she was holding court with two drunks. We won’t be back.

I passed by and noticed a big breakfast sign. And drove by because it looked like a country place. But it’s a very Irish place which I love! The service was very good! Food was good. They were very accommodating and understanding of my grumpy toddlers(who I walked around the restaurant to stretch their legs and the cooks were conversing with the kids and I and that was just really special) they cut up the fries for my 1 yo so they would be in bite sized pieces for him. Good menu and great staff. Highly recommend! I even overheard them specially give another table breakfast because that’s what they wanted even though they weren’t serving breakfast. Very impressed, I’d be a regular if I lived here! :)

If you’re in town, you gotta stop in the OPG. This place puts a cool twist on a lot of standard ‘bar’ foods and soups. The bartenders are always on the ball, and even if you’re sitting on one of their hightops in the bar area, you’re glass is never empty. The BFG(baked, fried, grilled) wings you have to try at least once in your life. The burgers and sandwiches have never let me down either.
