I’ve been in this Ulta numerous times. I am never acknowledged as I am shopping. I once went in with my mother in law and we both asked the cashier a question about an event they had Signs for. She flat out ignored us and just walked away. I work in retail, I get it, it can get tiresome but I have never EVER Flat out ignored someone. Also, you don’t do samples?! What the hell

Love this store and they’re products but honestly, the rudest birches you’ll ever met work here. They always act annoyed when you ask them questions, and they always have a nasty attitude. They need better customer service.

Horrendous Customer Service experience at store #55 and even worse treatment from their Customer Service Help Line. Around 12:30 pm on Monday September 21, 2015, I stopped at this store to pick up eyebrow stencils. I choice the product I needed and left the store. When I got home and opened my purchase, I realized that the box was empty. No big deal I figured i’d just call the store and let them know and they’d let me exchange it. When I checked my receipt for the phone number, I noticed that the number listed was clearly not a valid phone number. So I logged on to the Ulta website to get the correct number only to discover the the phone number listed there was incorrect as well. Eventually I was able to figure out what the right number was(online it is listed as a Nassau county area code instead of Suffolk County) I called the location as was told to just bring my stuff in for an exchange. When I got to the counter to complete this transaction, I asked the cashier if they were aware of the wrong phone number being printed on their receipts. Her answer was, «Oh yeah we don’t know why that happens» So I explained to her that the website was incorrect too and she replied, «Oh really that’s terrible» I asked her very nicely if I could speak to a manager because I felt that this was a grave oversight that needed to be fixed. I was told, «Well I am one of the managers and there is nothing we can do. I suggested that they they have the staff hand write the correct number on the receipt and she kind of just sighed as me. I asked her for her name because I would like to call the Customer Service Department and get this issue fixed so no one else would have to waste so much time just trying to get in touch with them. She gave me the customer service number but not her name and told me, «Good luck, perhaps you”ll be the person that makes the difference,» in a very sarcastic tone. I called the Customer Care Line and was told a General or District Manager would get back to me directly withing 48 hours. That call never came, making it very clear exactly how much the company actually values its customers and their time. I will let you know that I have been an active customer of Ulta for many years. I spend hundreds of dollars in in store through out the year. However, the fact that the company knowingly provides false contact info and makes no effort to fix their error is absolutely horrifying. Training managerial Managerial staff to talk back to their customers in a demeaning fashion is absolutely disgusting and is what has caused me to make the choice not to shop at any Ultar stores from now on. The Beauty and Health industry there are dozens of competing companies that can provide the same services and merchandise that Ulta Does. There is a Sephora less than a mile away from your Lake Grove location. I am sure they will be more than happy to accept my business. Shame on Ulta for allowing your customer service to go down the drain.

I have been here a handful of times and found them to be a bit expensive. One time I went and made a purchase. At the register I realized I left a coupon home. The clerk said to come back with the receipt any time and they would be able to adjust it. I returned several days later with receipt and coupon in hand. After waiting on a long line, I was told to return when the manager was in. I returned the next day, at an appointed time I was told to and I was told, «We don’t do that». Ok, now it was principle and I was not going to take no for an answer. I returned for the fourth time, waited on line each time and was turned away. When I got to the cashier, she left me and went to speak to another woman. I was told this was very unusual. I became irritated and said that I would not be returning to this shop 4 times if it were not the truth. I had my receipt and coupon(not expired) in my hand and demanded my refund. Begrudgingly, my request was obliged. I told them they would never see me in the store again, and I never went back.

Always a long line to check out and store is messy. Also, salon is a nightmare. You wait forever and they always overbook. Very unprofessional salon staff. Makes a lemon tree look like a 5 star salon. AVOID unless you are looking for less expensive cosmetics since they do offer coupons.

Ulta is the kinda store that has a wide variety of companies sold, similar to Sephora but also different at the same time. Now dont get me wrong, I do love Sephora, but Ulta comes in quite close. It has a wide variety of products from what I saw, plus a lot of great deals & sales that go on. Definitely worth checking out, and they have a extensive nail polish selection as well as hair stylers(blow dryers, straighteners, curlers, etc) that range from affordable to very expensive.

This is a beauty pussy galore kinda store! I prefer this place over Sephora, because they usually have more deals and specials on the high end department store makeups. In addition, they also have drug store makeup with sales and coupons. To top it off they have a salon w/a very attentive staff! I have gotten my hair styled here one time(when it was long) and they curled and volumized it to the max! I walked out feeling like a sex kitten!

A good place to max out your credit card– seriously expensive! Also a good place to zone out and forget your troubles if you enjoy getting lost in cosmetics… Two stars get knocked off for the snotty staff members.

I love Kellie! I saw her for the first time a few weeks ago; I wanted to blow dry my hair straight. Instead, I had her cut and then blowdry my hair. She’s very pleasant and did a great job on my curly/frizzy hair. Ulta has a lot of stuff like the other reviewer said and it’s like eye candy stepping into the store.

Tons of stuff. Almost borders on too much stuff. They have high end AND low end products. The impluse buys are ridiculous. Be sure to get your free ULTA card and ask at checkout if there are any promos running at that time. Staff is sparce and clearance aisles are cluttered. If you’ve got time to sift through stuff, you may find some good stuff.
